I’ve have a KK 42” for about 18 months now, done just over 100 cooks on it. Good as the day it was delivered. You will make you a better cook/chef than you already are. It’s like cheating it cooks so good. Enjoy Any one pondering a Kamado, if you have the means consider a KK. I wouldn’t have any thing but. 2nd house, 2nd KK. Either the 32 or 42 I think are the best idea(as mentioned in the video)But they are all great! One other thing is I’ve used my 42 for everything but rotisserie, and I only use ½ this charcoal basket. Searing and low and slow really can’t be done at the same time, your temps will get too high. Sear after a low and slow is finisher, pump up the fire then. A low & slow fire isn’t big enough for anything else. Practice and you’ll see, have fun🥩🤠
Great walkthrough. A KK is my dream cooker. It will be a very long way off if I ever order one, as I need to get the deck rebuilt first, and I may have a big debt to the government before that depending on how they decide. But I am torn between the 32" and 42". On the one hand, the 32" is probably more than I'll ever need, but on the other hand, there's an element of "go big or go home" when you're already spending what the 32" costs, and the 42" does seem to have some additional flexibility. For the 42", since a single grate would probably weigh 50 pounds or something, they just segmented each grate into 4 pieces, so I've seen photos where people had all four segments on for the second level grate, but only the left and right segments on for the top grate, so they can have potatoes baking on the left and ride sides of the bottom grate, with pork chops cooking in the middle, while on the top grate they had some tomahawks on the left and a pan of something on the right. So the big hole in the center lets you conveniently access the bottom grate, whereas with the 32" you'd have to lift the whole top grate up and off to get to it, I think. That being said, if you were cooking on the 42" for four people or less (which is what I'd be doing most of the time), it might require twice as much charcoal or something for all I know seeing as how it's so big.
Subscribed and I watched all your videos. Keep them coming. I have the 23', your happiness while you talk about it and describe it is shared. Unbelievable beauty every time we use them. Does not get old, best buy ever. Congratulations and thank you for the time and effort you put on your videos
