It's Jace. Which is why Magnus sacrifice his immortality and his magic to save Jace. Which is also why he went to eat them because he knew that Alec had the one thing he couldn't live without.

Also, the cast and Matt said that Alec confused his strong platonic feelings for romantic ones since he never been in love before until he met Magnus. Of course, Alec would be heartbroken if Jace dies since Jace is his brother, BFF, and parabatri. Jace might owns Alec's soul, but Magnus owns his heart. No one wants to be put in a position where they have to choose between their loved ones even if the answer may be clear. Also, Magnus and Alec only known each other for less than 3 months yet they have a huge impact in each other's lives.

However I admit must have cast may be bi except maybe Alec who's gay.(For Luke who I have no damn clue on) Everybody else is fairly implied to be bisexual and one shape form or another by pan something. I mean either Alberto or Dom said that Jace and Simon would have been together had it not been for Clary. And everybody seems to want to ship Clary and Izzy and they're cute I could see it. I know it's just so many characters were already gay or bisexual in the story so yeah way up there. The book's not so much now which is weird because there's a lot more subtext and a lot more probabilities there I mean seeing as to how Simon's pretty much fed off of everybody hello yeah almost everybody so they should all be like really enamored with him.
