this is so funny i always said my higher self my soul is spoiled and have expensive taste and i do not say this to excuse my buying habits as my personal possesions are few but if you let me choice without seeying prices i always chose the most expensive piece last year i ve put on a dress i was way way out of my budget but the lady in the shop was so kind and said put it on,... when it was out of the blue i started crying something inside of me was soooo touched i couldn t explain,... why that is/ was
this was cool thank you! so would you say the rising sign is more of our 'normal' style? i feel like i'm more in the other expression of taurus; quality and comfort/practicality i'm a taurus midheaven, leo rising, and Kibbe soft dramatic, so would expect the luxurious vibe to work for me, but i'm a lot more grounded - it does look good on me, and i absolutely serve at formal events 😉 it's just entirety impractical for my life, especially living in a cold, wet country where those beautiful garments are impossible, and cobblestone keeps shoes practical, so i lean into the dramatic and occasionally cosplay as a flamboyant natural 😭 my venus is sagittarius 5H conjunct pluto and mars, my sun is scorpio, and i have a buzz cut (works for SD so long as i keep it tidy) strangers regularly comment on my style in public, but i don't have any career experience where appearance was relevant to reference, so have no idea how that might affect things... i was once scouted by a modelling agency whilst wearing quite a grungy outfit, but i guess that makes sense with that pluto and mars link my 'public' style is far more fun and practical (sag venus) and leans more into the comfort and quality side of taurus, as well as the 'edge' of that martian and plutonian conjunction it was once described as 'colourful and comfy' which is accurate, but i also put a lot of effort into a curated wardrobe and jewellery
oooh i'd say venus is a bigger influence in terms of everyday style and preferences, but rising and moon can definitely impact it too! maybe one day i can do a deeper dive into a specific chart and find new insights :)
Interesting you don’t think of Marilyn Monroe as the gold digger in the characters she played it wasn’t vulgar or anything. Similar a different actress playing Barbie might not have pulled it off so well.
I learned a few years ago that Marilyn had a property with Arthur Miller and just left it when they split up. Presumably worth a lot, and she wasn't bothered. I think that's why she could play the gold diggers and it be funny and cute. And she had a self-awareness which made the performance clever, not repulsive.
