    i have the donner pedalboard with matching (much better) power supply underneath for half the price and its just amazing! so much money saved just to spend it on a 600€ fender fuzz pedal 😂👌🎸

    The elasticated bands are for attaching a power supply other than the Palmer power bar. There are two hooks under the board for this

    I'd be more inclined to buy it if it had a simple IEC power connection like every other reasonable power bar

    In regards to the feet coming loose, what about using the two nuts you initially took off as locking nuts?

      Also loc-tight everything once your height and bar space is set. You can still get the bolts and nuts loose with effort so it's not gluing them in place but nothing will rattle loose either.

    In lieu of using the "protector rail" can you spin the power supply around so the ports aren't on the outside at all?

    • @TheGuitarGeek
      @TheGuitarGeek  Рік тому

      Yep! I considered this but I figured this would be more difficult to fix at the gig should anything go wrong.

  • @calbrockocat8728

    By now, I figured pedal boards would have direct power connections to pedals, eliminating wires. By now, an integrated system that does not require velcro so the pedals don't move. I know about 95% of available pedals come from 2 or 3 makers, with the rest being small shops. Where is the uniformity for connections and power usage? This is like the tone and volume pots that don't engage on your guitar until you've almost turned the knob completely. If they're going to make a thing that's been around for decades, improve it! *Must be Crabby Thursday!

      Although this is a cool idea, there are numerous reasons this wouldn’t work or at least be reliable. I’d love to discuss it with and electrical engineer though

    I have the 80. They are great boards. Although I may have broken the strap but that was might result not Palmer’s. Those straps came with mine to hold your power bank in place. I have now gone for three Thomman modular power supplies and they are superb.

      It happened to a friend (genuinely, not a cover for me just being dumb and too embarrassed to admit it).
      The scenario...
      Phone in trouser back pocket
      Visiting the loo for a #2 (resisted the urge to call it a "ninja")
      The well developed blokey synchronization of lowering trousers while simultaneously crouching to sit on loo seat ... sometimes gives the pesky phone a chance to slide out of back pocket, with a soul destroying clatter clatter on porcelain and nail in the coffin splash.
      I've heard ladies speak of even higher probability for them because their jeans front pockets are, for curious reasons nobody understands, barely big enough to fit a lipstick, let alone a phone. So back pocket is often their only trouser option.
