- Australian Army soldiers from 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, have commenced Exercise Tiger’s Run 2022 - the increased complexity of the training reflecting the 1st Brigade’s move towards the littoral battlespace.
Exercise Tiger’s Run 2022 demonstrates capacity to deploy combined tactical teams across maritime and littoral environments over significant distances and in remote and austere environments.
Exercise Tiger’s Run 2022 is the 5th Battalion’s culminating training before the 1st Brigade’s littoral warfighting Exercise Predator’s Run 2022.

5RAR gone Amphibious now?
Could be a rotational basis thing with the RAR Bns for the ground combat element of the Amphib Force? 2RAR is the permanent Pre Landing Force after all, but there still is a need for regular infantry to go in.
@@rampager89 Fair enough I know here in the west 16 Battalion is Amphibious now and 11/28 is Air mobile and slowly transition into ARA units.
@@JJO117 Great they are maintaining Amphib specialty with Reserve units. Its impt for Australia. Wasnt aware about 11/28 going Airmobile!
@@JJO117 I was hoping to join the reserves in the next 6months or so(just waiting on my citizenshiop apponintment letter). Wasn't sure which WA battalion to join. But now knowing 16th is amphib. That is a huge plus for me. Sounds like an awesome role.

The zodiacs have a different role to a rigid hulled option. Cant transport RHIBS nearly as easily. Cant toss them out of aircraft repeatedly as an example.
