My husband died the day after Christmas. I haven’t been able to listen to Christian music since then until a new friend just sent me this link and I actually clicked on it. 😭 Thank you.
@pattithompson1221 thank you for testifying, that is quite a lot that you have gone through, quite a lot , the psalmists and those who sang them all those thousands of years may understand what you have gone through, I pray Jesus the lamb of God will make his peace and faithfulness known to you in your dark nights. He was my only peace in my darkest nights of sickness. May you my beloved find refuge in him. shalom.💛💛
I understand this Psalm to be about those who offer false sacrifices, possibly unto idols, and expect something. In listening to this song, I was struck with grief, over myself, over the church community around me fighting over money, and ignoring the cries of those hurt in the process. Seeing my own failures and feeling stuck, "how long...!?" I don't know who's absent, me or The Lord. I believe it's me. But, The Lord, the God of gods, and King of kings, will hear me when I call for help.
My sister sent me the Golgotha project and I loved it so much I looked into your other stuff. Found EveryPsalm and don't have the words to tell you what it means to me. Thank you for listening to the Lord and creating such deeply beautiful pieces for us to worship with. Thanks be to God. This is such a gift!
I have been clinging to the lament of “how long?” I’m so incredibly encouraged by yalls creativity and dedication to this project and look forward every week to each upcoming psalm:) Thank you guys for this amazing ministry-it has truly blessed me!
