This is one PERFECT example of the maestro's execution virtuocity, arrangement skills and immense compositional talent even since his mid teens! I really wish Yngwie would re-record his Powerhouse demo, paying tribute to his really early days, so that more fans would get to know this and the other gems found in his 1978 home-studio effort!
This was recorded in 1978? So he was 16 then. Was this recorded at home or in a studio somewhere? Anyone know? Is this his earliest first recording? I would like to hear the very first stuff he ever recorded, that would be cool to hear, see some videos of him at the very beginning of it all.
@@michaelcraig9449 It was recorded in his maternal grandmother's basement in Stockholm which he had practically turned into a home studio. I was lucky to visit the place back in July 2016 albeit it looks nothing like it used to: it's now a storage place for the building's tenants. But it was way cool to go down the very same narrow stairs Yngwie and his early bandmates used to some 40 years ago (although he recorded this particular demo all by himself: a true genius in the making!)
Well not only... It's pretty clear he lived in a very musical family with many relatives playing different instruments, he was infused with a lot of other music aswell. Maybe especially classical music.
@@rblake1730During this period he only listened to Ritchie Blackmore, it wasn’t until a year later he started to worship Uli Jon Roth (which you can hear from the 1980 demo called birth of the sun) and later he discovered Al di Meola and classical music around the early 80s
It's him playing all the instruments actually (apart from drums if I'm not mistaken)... He personally mixed and overdubbed the rhythm parts using an old analogue multitrack tape recorder (!!)

Pure mid-80s back in 1978. Yngwie and Eddie made the 80s sound. Ahead of their times.
So true! Έτσι ακριβώς! 🤘
I can perceive here a delicious mixture of Blackmore's and Roth's styles, elaborated though in his own personal way..
@@igormadeyski2946 Indeed! Ritchie and Uli with some hints of Brian (May) too, IMHO!
Wtf only 15 in 1978 playing better than most legends...shows how much clasdical training does
I have been playing clasdical guitar for years
SPELLCHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's self taught since the age of 7.
He had no classical training. He's self taught.
Just practice and play all the time. 8 hours per day minimum.
Archeology at best. Thanks for sharing such a diamond.
If it's a diamond, wouldn't it be "mining at its best"?
Listen to that fucking tone. Delicious.
He is a Real Insperation.
For all, Keep on Rock !!!!
8.06 minutos de placer ,gloria y buena música que ayuda a volar la imaginación !!! gracias
1:10 to 1:33 and 4:04 to 4:10 its uncannily reminiscent of Rainbow's "I surrender" outro solo... 2 years earlier! ;-)
THIS is incredable stuff. Fraya
He’s better than me even after 20 years of practice (he’s only 19)
Actually on this first album sized demo he was only 15
His first demo in 78
Michael Shenker influence 😉

No
This is from listening J.S.Bach and Nicolo Paganini

He was in the spotlight column of guitar player magazine in 82. He mentions Uli, Al and Allan in that article. Already influences for years.
@@AdrianWow36HoB420kP I would say the contrary.
この後、彼の十八番のピロポロピロポロ~キャラキャラ~と、けたたましい早弾きより15歳時のヘンパタトニック中心のリッチーブラックモアに近いこの頃の演奏の方が個人的に心地良く思う私である・・・

1981 music???
1978 actually. He was only fifteen at the time. A veritable prodigy!

Lead guitar's sound are too low !!
Le solo le plus long de l'histoire du métal! Mâtiné de Blackmore, tout cela n'est pas désagréable!
