In this video, Isabella shares with us the most relaxing and character filled beach towns in the Philippines, only 3-4 hours away from Manila. Enjoy Savvy Expats!
Well presented. As a Canadian that avoids the cold winters I am very curious about LaUnion. I've always heard good things about this area, your presentation has convinced me to check it next time I'm in the PH. Thank you!
I prefer Batangas better, water is bluer, have many resorts to choose and not a lot of folks either. Also, only an hour and half from Manila without the traffic during midday. Taking my family there this coming holiday weekend. Should be good.
Being from a California coastal environment, LU looks pretty appealing to me. However, I did notice a pretty high presence of foreigners in your video. As I have been visiting my filipino family on and off for 15 years now, my preference is live in a more local centric environments. I do not come to the philippines to live amongst large foreigner communities. I am now recently retired looking to settle. Do you have a general feel for the ratio of foreigners to locals Or, simply percentage of foreigners living in and around LU? thanks for your time.
@@lextor4712 just been for vacation. Idk where to live. I just end up in their cheap hotels usually. It's only a 1k trip from manila and 5 hours by van.
its near in comparison to other beaches, people from manila go there quite often for their vacation and parties so it is near........3 - 4 hrs is not that far in comparison to 6 - 7 hrs it takes to get to other beaches.

Glad this video was valuable to you Olli! Catch you in the next one.
But its always hit by Typhoon too. And power shortage. Check the young couple from Canada retired in La Union.
much more like six to seven hours away from Manila. Puts you fairly close to Baguio, certainly easy for a quick day run there.

Good to know (a beach/nature getaway, on Luzon, from the NCR). 👌. So inexpensive as well!
How do I find these cheap apartments - everything I have seen has been about 5 times higher!
