True, my portfolio took a massive hit in 2022, and I almost sold everything to switch to cash savings. However, I was advised to consult a financial advisor. Following the guidance of this CFA, my portfolio started increasing by 10% monthly. She had anticipated the crash and rebalanced my portfolio accordingly.

I agree that hiring a portfolio coach is a smart move and that in this case, patience is your best friend. I make a lot of investments and cannot afford to take the risk of doing it alone. Hey Pat,
Not sure if the comments are monitored, but I was wondering if you know if a felon can own an insurance company? I made some mistakes as a teen, and have had to spend my life paying for it and out working everyone to get where I'm at now. I'm 26 and doing okay now, and my dream has always been to be an entrepreneur. I'm ready to begin that process, but don't know if regulations will stop me or hinder my progress. Thank you for your time, and thanks for the content. Your story is inspiring to me.

Of course, I'll start by thanking you guys, team and Pat, for the book recommendation How to invest, for Michael Burry Cassandra twitter account and other informations.
But, best ones by far are the long term mindset and the Warren Buffett example which is so spot on and the Peter Drucker quote regarding new problems, new angle and different solutions. Always adapt, readapt, stay hungry, foolish, be curious.
    Guys, big thank you 😊

I am a big fan of yours. However, Patrick, I am curious to know what religion you were referring to when you said "Pray to Mohammad"?. I presume Islam?. Anyways, Muslims DO NOT pray to Mohammad rather Muslims pray FOR Mohammad daily. Muslims alter these words "Ashadu an la ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna muhammad rasulullah" multple times throughout the day. The English tranlsation of these words is "I bear witness that there is no deity (none truly to be worshipped) but, Allah (God), and I bear witness that Muhammad is the MESSENGER of Allah". Mohammad is the last messenger of Allah (God). Allah sent messengers to educate people about their well-being in this life and in the Hereafter. As well as to call them to worship Allah (God) alone without associating partners with Him. I wanted to clarify this since it concerned me when you stated, "Pray to Mohammed."
    Take care, God Bless.

51:50 so this guy is going to "keep his appointments" but he blows off his commitment to reenlist. Love listening to this guy. Brilliant, but what a huckster! ... Why does he sound like multi-level marketing, AMWAY guy? Why does he sound like Joel Osteen? ... "If you don't get rich I don't get rich(er)!"
Supposedly this guy heard things from this fellow that blew his mind, things that turned him away from reenlisting, but he never shared them with us. I don't care that he didn't reenlist, the US government's work overseas can be questionable.
I served, with no particular heroism, simply glad I walked away. That's not it, not the point. Never even shared the type of things that influenced him. Yes, he's 82nd airborne, yes he's tough. But this guy is pure salesman but I don't know what he's selling.
A friend of mine was a young airman, got sucked into multilevel marketing, took him away from the air force, destroyed him, took years for him to rebuild. This is exactly the kind of pump up speech this guy seems to be giving.

Recession is a great chance to reduce and downsize. The demographics is shrinking and interest is higher so people will slow down buying houses, cars, furniture, cloths, fuel and electronics. This will reduce excess of buying which impact the environment. During Covid the CO2 emissions went way down but is back up. Recession will reduce CO2 emissions as people drive less and take less trips. We can spend a lot less and still live very well. I personally lived through recessions 1980, 1990, 2001, 2008, 2020 and now potentially 2022 and have not only survived but thrived. I also battled cancer from 2015 to 2017. To me the human spirit is adaptable and resilient. If you earn less than spend less and save something for tomorrow. All this doom and gloom is for the financial institutions, governments and banks and over stretched consumers addicted to borrowing. Borrowing is as addictive as gambling since borrowers are gambling with their future.

In 1957 a 140k was about 1.5 million today. So if you have 1.5 million cash right now you are in the same boat he was in back then. Also very different times where if you had money like that back then society was growing like crazy. We haven't been growing like that lately, we have been pretty stagnant. At least tell the truth when you're making your point. You have a good point but people today with 140k aren't the same.
