I’m becoming concerned Adam is going to be on an upcoming episode of hoarders and the entire episode is them finding and pulling board games out while he cries in the driveway.
My friend has a copy of Everdell, played it once and I can confirm it is a beautiful game with bits of worker placement and engine building included. I loved this game so so much.
I just played my first game of Everdell today Gorgeous game, took a minute to really get cooking but once we figured it out I completely bought into it. 10/10
Loved that you mentioned the texture of the Wingspan rulebook, haha! Isn't it nice? I have a long list of things I love about Wingspan, and the quality of the rulebook paper is one of them!
Love that you included Parks! Only you forgot to mention one thing, I have never had such a satisfying experience putting a game back in its box before this. At the very least, Parks raised the bar for storage design
such a fun list! some of my favs: Raiders of Scythia, new Pret-a-Porter, Oceans, Feudum, Fae, Elevenses, Codex Naturalis, Cosmic Frog, Santa Monica, Remember Our Trip! Nunami!! 🤓
As someone who's always had a love for the urban beauty of highway overpasses crossing over rivers like Albany's nasty polluted Hudson... thank you for introducing me to Tokyo Overpass. I've ordered a used copy and I can't wait!
I absolutely LOVE when You go into a rage tantrum about the competitive nature of a specific game. Throwing swear words and pointy middle fingers into a thorough informative explanation is just pure gold! You have +1 new subscriber.
Starling Games, the makers of Everdell, are right up the road a bit in Manchester, NH. I'm halfway tempted to take a run on up there and ask them A) why this game is so hard to find, and B) why in the name of the great dice-makers in the sky does this game cost EIGHTY-FIVE GODDAMN DOLLARS.
Something about quacks of quedlingburg just makes me unable to stop looking at it. I mean the way your tiny potion bottle fits perfectly on the stand at the bottom of you cauldron and the adorable little tokens!?! How can you not love it?
Hi Adam; Everdell is back in stock in the UK. There are several online shops selling a copy (from Zatu to Bad Meeple - I mention these two as I have used them in the recent past) 😀
UA-cam pushed this to me randomly. Instant sub. Inis is my all time favourite game. The card art in Inis is done by world famous Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick. Growing up in Ireland in the 80's and 90's I remember his art was all over our school textbooks, so I was astonished to see it used in a board game in the 2010's! In fact, at first I thought it must be a copy cat, but was delighted to discover they actually had licensed his art for the game! Thankfully, it's also an incredible game!
I was melting down with fear throughout the video that Everdell wasn't going to be included. Glad it came out Basically On Top. I would put in a vote for any of the new editions of Brass.
The content of SU&SD with the silky smooth tones of WhatCulture? That's a subscribe right there. (You guys should do a series on bad Games which can be fixed with house rules and homebrew content!! Like Root but its most Points in X Turns, or Strip Monopoly)
Just discovered this channel. Nice picks. I bought Inis for art alone, unfortunately, I didn't love the game. I agree about the Wingspan rulebook. Some unmentioned games I'd toss in: Root / Vast (same artist), Mariposas, and Sagrada.
I went online first thing after watching this video and FOUND photosynthesis in stock in my country. It's not even localized here! it's astonishing. Probably the best recent purchase. Thank you
That was beautifully wonderful. The graphic design nerd in me is satisfied. Still, most of these are chill, stroll in the park games about appreciating nature. Are there violent/adventurous games that also has great but ungaudy artwork?
Thank you so much for this list. I have Wingspan and Parks, which I love very much. So happy to see them appreciated by others too. Beautiful games and beautiful experiences!
My first video from this channel. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this video as much as I did! Also, your comment about wanting to take a vacation you can’t afford after playing PARKS is so true. Just booked yesterday a trip to Sequoia National Park, just a couple of weeks after playing the game lol.
As the video went on I was thinking about leaving a comment to mention Parks and Everdell as beautiful games to check out - and there you go chucking them in at 1 and 1.5. Good stuff. Instead I'll throw out an honorable mention for Ecosystem. Really gorgeous little drafting game with lovely nature-based artwork. I don't know many people into board games and wrestling. When this pandemic blows over we should play some games Adam - I'll let you have a go on my copy of Everdell 👍
Did you read a few threads in BGG about how many board game visuals nowadays prefer beauty over function? One of the examples they gave is Brass' board redesign is harder to read compared to previous version. That somehow lead them to that conclusion. The visual aspects of the game never entered into my decision to play a game, but to bring the game into my collection, yes.
I'd maybe have Sagrada over Azul - there is just something about the vibrant translucent dice in that game that just really catches the eye. Not sure I'd call that ship game beautiful, but I can see why it'd go on a list for games with table presence, though even then I'd maybe have put Rhino Hero Super Battle over it (arguably a bit close in aesthetic to Tokyo Highway?) If it was a table presence list, I'd be curious if Colt Express or Potion Explosion would make the cut - they're not beautiful, but they do catch the eye
A trip where you go to national parks is actually very affordable especially a circle trip of southern Utah and Northern Arizona (you drive in a circle and hit each of the parks such as arches, bryce, zion, grand canyon, petrified forest).
Personal opinion (call me basic): spectacle - Teotihuacan, overall art style - anything by Ian O'Toole or Kyle Ferrin, you know, Ride the Rails, Escape Plan, Black Angel, Root, Fort... But am very happy to see Parks at number 1! Good job Adam ☺️
Santorini, Ghost Stories, Krosmaster Arena, Takenoko, Blood Rage every time we play them I always get questions. That lotus game I didn't know ill grab a copy. Thanks
Bosk, Root, Wingspan, Everdell, Parks, Cupcake empire, Planet, Tokaido, Scythe, Modern art Oink games edition...in no order..if i had to choose it would be root
Kingdom Death shoulda been on this list.... sure it's got horrific looking monsters but they are the best looking horrific looking monsters there are in anything ever. Nightmares have never looked so good.
Holy crap! You do vids on things other than wrestling and they happen to be about my favorite hobby as well?? Subbed!! Btw have about 5 games on this list 😊
Oh yeah, the Everdell-frustrations are real. Keep waiting for that one call of my game store. It almost feels like a pregnancy. Games that I would add: Santorini (not a big fan of the game, but god those cards are pretty), Caper (so stunning, so whimsical!) and Isle of Cats 🐱
5:47 ADAM: *MAN,* I really wanna go to Japan... Dear Trash Taste Podcast... *PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE,* invite Adam Blampied as your guest... it would mean the *WORLD* to me.
2:54 "These weighty plastic chips" while showing the cardboard tokens... Adam is referring to the player tokens, which indeed are plastic (and metal) and weighty indeed, so that is a really bad b-roll for the statement
Nice list but for sure you are missing Tang garden. I know this is your list and beauty is subjective but if you're going to put photosynthesis, Tang garden takes that and makes it even more beautiful with more 3D decorations, landscapes and adds a Chinese theme. I also used to include photosynthesis in my own most beautiful but now I can't look at it without feeling a bit disappointed in comparison to Tang Garden.
Nice list. I guess you haven't played or seen Abyss. Illustrations on the highest level, comes with white pearls and black pearls and - just ha a long hard look and be ready to fall in love.with ugly sea creatures.
He hasn’t actually lost the plot - the wingspan rulebook FEELS so good!
I’m becoming concerned Adam is going to be on an upcoming episode of hoarders and the entire episode is them finding and pulling board games out while he cries in the driveway.
I can see it now
Buying boardgames is never hoarding
"Adam, when was the last time you played Axis and Allies?"
"Nooo, I need that just in case! The pandemic might pick up again!".
Adam talking about things he actually loves and has deep passion for is soooooooo enjoying to listen to....its on another level ❤️❤️❤️
Solid agree!
Couldn't agree more.

I just played my first game of Everdell today
Gorgeous game, took a minute to really get cooking but once we figured it out I completely bought into it. 10/10
Wasn't expecting a metal riff in a vid about beautiful board games, but here we are.
Loved that you mentioned the texture of the Wingspan rulebook, haha! Isn't it nice? I have a long list of things I love about Wingspan, and the quality of the rulebook paper is one of them!
7:55 Adam, hate to break it to you, but that's an illegal move. You can only put one egg on the Mississippi kite, not two.
Feel like Kanagawa is worth a mention in the Japan category. Beautiful cards and components that really create a theme.
I know Dixit was mentioned but man that is some gorgeous artwork. And bunnies. For some reason there are bunnies. They're also gorgeous
You had me at bunnies🥰❤️🐰
I really want Adam to make sweets versions of all of the game pieces that he has wanted to eat, because I really want to eat them too!!
Your top 10s are awesome Adam. Just found the channel like 2 weeks ago and it´s already my favourite BG review channel, hands down.
Wtf, how is it that I just discovered this channel. Your humor is perfect for these board game lists.
Good list. Only one I would have added would be Root. Also, really fancy traditional Go boards with those stone pieces.
Some people aren't into Kyle Ferrin's art style. Sadly. I'll fight those people though
Love that you included Parks! Only you forgot to mention one thing, I have never had such a satisfying experience putting a game back in its box before this. At the very least, Parks raised the bar for storage design
Shout out for "Kanagawa" too!
(I managed to get Everdell. It's just ridiculously beautiful)
such a fun list! some of my favs: Raiders of Scythia, new Pret-a-Porter, Oceans, Feudum, Fae, Elevenses, Codex Naturalis, Cosmic Frog, Santa Monica, Remember Our Trip! Nunami!! 🤓
now im asking for a discord server for no rolls barred
As someone who's always had a love for the urban beauty of highway overpasses crossing over rivers like Albany's nasty polluted Hudson... thank you for introducing me to Tokyo Overpass. I've ordered a used copy and I can't wait!
There are so many beautiful games out there. For table presence Heroscape. I love the art in Stone Age and Burgle Bros as well.
Well I’m glad I bought Parks on a whim last week with how beautiful it seems to be and I’m glad I can try it as a single player
I absolutely LOVE when You go into a rage tantrum about the competitive nature of a specific game. Throwing swear words and pointy middle fingers into a thorough informative explanation is just pure gold! You have +1 new subscriber.

"Hey! Nice flower! I'll take it!" - Marcus, probably.
I was melting down with fear throughout the video that Everdell wasn't going to be included. Glad it came out Basically On Top. I would put in a vote for any of the new editions of Brass.
I was the same for Parks 😂
I saw Wingspan on the Thumbnail and immediately got hyped. Game is amazing
Pax Pamir 2e is the most beautiful boardgame in my collection, love these videos Adam!
The content of SU&SD with the silky smooth tones of WhatCulture? That's a subscribe right there. (You guys should do a series on bad Games which can be fixed with house rules and homebrew content!! Like Root but its most Points in X Turns, or Strip Monopoly)
Root isn't a bad game and doesn't need fixing. :P
Just discovered this channel. Nice picks. I bought Inis for art alone, unfortunately, I didn't love the game. I agree about the Wingspan rulebook. Some unmentioned games I'd toss in: Root / Vast (same artist), Mariposas, and Sagrada.
Another one that's beautiful, but difficult to get a hold of these days is Lisboa
VERY happy to see our very own Eden Park, home of the All Blacks feature at 9:11
I went online first thing after watching this video and FOUND photosynthesis in stock in my country. It's not even localized here!
it's astonishing. Probably the best recent purchase.
Thank you
I cant wait for Adam to do a tour of his boardgame collection 😁
Wink Wink Nudge Nudge 😉
I love this guy's humor so much when he says "COMPETITIVE TREES-board gaming has got EVERYTHING" *applause queued*😂
This is a great list because it cheats out so many other beautiful board games when talking about each one on the list!
"Squad leader" was beautiful , as was Star Fleet Battles and Gladiator.
That was beautifully wonderful. The graphic design nerd in me is satisfied. Still, most of these are chill, stroll in the park games about appreciating nature. Are there violent/adventurous games that also has great but ungaudy artwork?
Thanks Adam for this top10 ! I'd recommend you have a look at 1. Shipwreck Arcana & 2. Nekojima
Seriously my favorite channel to listen to reviews of board games . Especially love the middle finger and cheeky comments . Hilarious 😂 everytime.
Thank you so much for this list. I have Wingspan and Parks, which I love very much. So happy to see them appreciated by others too. Beautiful games and beautiful experiences!

For me, thy beauty remains with the old school: Heroquest. Wish I knew about the kickstarter a few months ago.
Call to Adventure. The game play can leave some people flat and the rune pieces are simple but the card art is on point!
I'm sold. I am getting Riff Raff
I don't think it was around when you made this but I think the most beautiful game I've seen is Weather Machine.
A very nice list, I would add "Seikatsu".
I've seen a few of these 'most beautiful board games" videos and none of them mention Tang Garden, one of the nicest games to look at on the table
Yay!! Wingspan!!
❤❤❤ 🐓🕊🦉🦆🦜🦢🦃🐦 ❤❤❤
"This game was an instant purchase for me." Said Adam about every board game ever made 😛
Quite surprised Arnak wasn't on this list
I would add Pax Pamir 2E to this list
Beauty is a huge thing for me in a board game. To me it’s half the experience
I'd maybe have Sagrada over Azul - there is just something about the vibrant translucent dice in that game that just really catches the eye.
Not sure I'd call that ship game beautiful, but I can see why it'd go on a list for games with table presence, though even then I'd maybe have put Rhino Hero Super Battle over it (arguably a bit close in aesthetic to Tokyo Highway?)

Century Golem Edition is beautiful. Specially if you get the playing mat
Parks for the deserved win - but at the opposite end of the scale, I really like the stark minimalism of Yinsh
I love love loooove Parks. Betrayal Legacy is my favorite game of all time but Parks is the game I play on my own and I love the pictures and art
Great video! I was shocked that “Seasons” wasn’t mentioned, but like you said it’s subjective.
Photosynthesis: "A tree wars in all directions at once".
Yeah parks is the best i now don't want to go to japan but i want to visit the parks in the US.. but i cannot travel.. thanks adam
I think the thing I related to the most was not wanting to eat the beautiful pieces that look like candy :)
I find it odd that NONE OF RYAN LAUKAT'S GAMES MADE IT ONTO THIS LIST. But these games do look great :P
"Look at this one. How about this one? LOOK AT THIS F*ING GUY". Subbed after this line.
Santorini, Ghost Stories, Krosmaster Arena, Takenoko, Blood Rage every time we play them I always get questions. That lotus game I didn't know ill grab a copy. Thanks
Root and Pax Pamir 2!!
I need to give a shout out to Charterstone. Beautiful game, clean board, lovely art style, metal coins. Who could ask for more
Watching this while painting Death May Die, which I've own for 6 months and not yet found the time to play.....now I own a copy of Inis....

Games that I would add: Santorini (not a big fan of the game, but god those cards are pretty), Caper (so stunning, so whimsical!) and Isle of Cats 🐱
Veiled Fate & Moonrakers by IV Studios are really good looking games as well
I have played Lotus and I assure you these flowers becomes a nasty battlefield.
Everdell and PARKS are my favorite games.
obscurio, and i've only seen the thing in this video
5:47
ADAM: *MAN,* I really wanna go to Japan...
Dear Trash Taste Podcast...
*PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE,* invite Adam Blampied as your guest... it would mean the *WORLD* to me.
Honestly, root is cute. Best meeples.
Obscuiro is both beautiful and great to play! But for another beautiful game check out Ishtar: Gardens Of Babylon.
2:54 "These weighty plastic chips" while showing the cardboard tokens... Adam is referring to the player tokens, which indeed are plastic (and metal) and weighty indeed, so that is a really bad b-roll for the statement
My body is ready for this video
All this boardgames are beauties, but personnality I added : Yggdrasil Chronicles, Tang Garden and Imaginarium :)
Was almost worried of you not at least mentioning Scythe.
Agree with every game in this list!
Surprised Takenoko wasn't on this list
Nice list but for sure you are missing Tang garden. I also used to include photosynthesis in my own most beautiful but now I can't look at it without feeling a bit disappointed in comparison to Tang Garden.
Ok but where is Scythe?
Have you ever seen the humongous playmat for High Frontier 4All? [drops mic]
Nice list. I guess you haven't played or seen Abyss. Illustrations on the highest level, comes with white pearls and black pearls and - just ha a long hard look and be ready to fall in love.with ugly sea creatures.
8:27 NoW YOu SoUnD LiKe LaMb Of GoooooooooooooooouD wasn't expecting jared dines reference
Woooow not Root Adam??
Great list !
When did you notice during your life that you were born with a WatchMojo voice? 😊 thx for the vids
Complaining about old board games not having colors and the first game on the list is mostly gray blocks and a few pale cars.
I want to see NRB play Inis.
Oh man Adam. have you seen Trails? It comes out in a week or so.
