your lead sounds are amazing. This is definitely the future of guitar. I just got done saying this in an email and then up popped your vid. I need one of these.
I just traveled with it internationally. The bag fits in the overhead bin, right over others’ carry-ons. Very convenient not having to bring much else! Plays great too. It’s a steal IMO!
awesome guitar i wish i had the money to buy it!
A small, but important correction: only the zero fret is stainless steel, all the others are regular nickel silver. And I can only hope they are at least of some better quality alloy, you never know what. The real difference of course is pretty much how each of them will hold a mirror shine fret polish.
Actually we are both off. The frets are made from a high oxidation resistant white copper. 😯 And like you said only the zero fret is stainless.
Nice review dude!! I'm buying it.
Enjoy! You won’t be disappointed
Wow. Great overview. Very interesting product.
It’s become my daily guitar!
Nice sounds!! I'm getting this guitar. That Andy Timmons tone was spot on!
24 Jumbo frets made of nickel silver
Ever see those guys playing on cruise ships in small 3 piece bands? This would be perfect.
Exactly… The possibilities 🙌
The green one, finally!
💚
Great review!! Just need them to built it in stereo and with a tremolo. That's it.
Exactly… add a 7 & 8 string version too and they can take a good chunk of the market!
Best review I've seen on this thing (apart from the ss frets which everyone has gotten wrong anyway)
Thankyou!
I live in stereo world so I'll probably hold off until the software is capable.
That's if my brain maintains control over my GAS glands...
My gas glands gave out a while ago. Just bought a 30” baritone… second guitar this year. (Hope my wife won’t kill me) I totally thought the frets were stainless… honestly, no one live would even notice if it’s stereo or not tbh in most cases. So this is a small gig machine at least!
Last guitar count was 50+
This year I've become the proud owner of the latest Gretsch Malcolm Young tribute based on 'The Beast' as it was during the "Long way to the Top' film clip and an ESP E-II RZK 1 a la Rammstein.
My wife still talks to me and thinks I'm 'relatively cute' when the lights are out...@@alexraykinofficial
Thanks for the nice review. Just wanted to let you know that the link to “find the guitars here”seems to be broken
Wow, when I went to go try to their website today it seems like they were hacked! :O I contacted them to let them know. You can search the guitar model on Google, it’s sold in some places.
I went on my computer and the site works. They need to get that fixed up...
It looks like it was "inspired" by Strandberg guitars -- the bridge, the multiscale frets, the "headstock" end.
They definitely took a couple of pants from their book… Strandberg has inspired many luthiers’ headless guitar designs. I’ve played some Strandbergs but can’t get into that unique neck design… it felt weird and restrictive for my playing. Fanned frets are easier to adjust to. 🤷♂️ Otherwise great quality instruments though!
Great video! One important question:
Can I directly connect the guitar to my audio interface and use the sounds, choosing them from the app, directly in my DAW? I use Ableton. A thousand thanks!
You can’t control the app from your daw and change it afterwords. It’s not “reampable” in that way. That said, it’s an ideal guitar for a minimalist live setup! I’d stick to Neural DSP and other VSTs for recording.
i WILL QUOTE YOU!! So far tghis is the ONE i want. btw HOW DO I USE A NIC WITH IT FOR SINGING?
Thanks! You can’t use a microphone directly into the guitar. If you were looking for some thing that can do that, check out my review on the Enya guitar!
I came across this when I was looking for a Line 6 Variax guitar, because they had some pre-selected alternate tunings since each string is separate, and liked that you could enter two custom open tunings.
Does this guitar have such an option?
Is a whammy bar possible to incorporate?
(With a possibility to have a sustainiac type of system it would be perfect, so maybe I'll wait a bit for future models.)
They don’t have those options but I look forward to future ones having them!
Hello, Does the super knob work with an regular amp?
Or does it sound bad if you use your normal amp (Clean) just as a ,,speaker"?
It sounds fine. You would just adjust some settings for that.
Got problem here. Any idea how to bring back the original factory setting of every bank and presets tone?
It's seem like they arrange every presets tone different from the standard factory setting and I really don't use to it.
For example : on 0A.tone it's shown "0A.Butter" instead of 0A.Clean.
Oh that is strange. I haven’t reset so I haven’t ran into that. I instantly made a set of presets, plus a “pass-through” preset where all the amps and effects are off so that I can use the pickup modeling before my virtual amps.
@@alexraykinofficial Many thanks for sharing, I really appreciate it and enjoy your video.
Were you actually able to get USB audio interface working? 11:40
I have GTRS s800 and USB streaming doesn't work!
I’m not sure what you mean by USB streaming, but I have plugged in the guitar via USB and it was read by the computer as an input source.
Here’s what I found works / doesn’t work so far:
- direct usb c to c cable from GTRS to iphone 15 does not work even tho most other Moore devices do support this (e.g. P1 and Hornet 05i)
- using a usb-c hub with iPad Pro and connecting GTRS via usb c-to-a cable does work, but the same set up does not work with iphone 15
- I assume specific otg cables will work as shown in the video, but I no longer have any lightning devices
@matts7214 That’s interesting. What are you trying to accomplish?
@@alexraykinofficialI use iOS software to enhance my guitar signal, via AUM, midi guitar 2, moog synths, etc. That all relies on a usb audio interface that works with iphone/ipad. Mooer P1 works well for that. Thanks for the review good info!
The GTRS guitars are super cool - I hope mooer can make usb more reliable via software update
Can connect Bluetooth speaker?
You can, but Bluetooth has a delay, so I would connect it with a cable if possible.
I got a better idea. I'll get the Mooer Prime 1 and stick it there, or carve the guitar body & install there 😁
I’m selling one brand new. Enjoy the project. 😉 offerup.co/LPmlcRsAsDb
I sanded down the forearm area.
Oh wow! Removing the finish there? I’d like to see what that looks like.
I love that guitar and I would like to buy it, but I refuse buying a guitar which don´t have whammy bar
My other guitars have whammy bars, even one of my headless. They make another guitar with these features that has a whammy bar. (Wilkinson style)
Yayayaya future guitars ppl will sill buy that gibson goldtop fake
I don’t think it quite replaces legacy instruments but it is quite useful. I teach guitar and when I was traveling recently, I brought it with me and didn’t need any amp-just this guitar and an iPad!
Is this guitar made in China?
Yes! It’s a product and company that makes us start to rethink how we view “made in China”. It’s a small innovative Chinese company.
sorry but i didn't get the joke
No joke, this tech is next level. ;)
@@alexraykinofficial but how?
I think this guitar and a few others are leading the way to standardizing having all the amp modeling and effects built into the instrument. Its something I believe will become much more common place in years to come.
@@alexraykinofficial cant wait for one day to have a 7 string multiscale true temperament standalone guitar....with SPEAKER.
