@@heavyc4450 After you win the fight 5 more of the boss you just killed pop up. The story goes that they were overwhelmed by the enemy shortly after the extra stage ends.

@@KiwiSTG Thanks. I just saw it right now. God humanity is fucked then. They kinda NEEDED the devil engine. But it went all crazy on them. Without the Devil Engine, they fucked and with Vic trying to prevent THIS shitstorm from wiping out humanity, Devil Engine decides to wipe out humanity when it fuses and overtakes the remains of Vic.

​​@@heavyc4450 I watched the ending again. Vic was created first to control all military operations. Devil Engine came in afterwards (no proof how) and Vic was stripped of it's control over military and was planted into Andraste.
Thus humanity was F-ed before. Now it's double F-ed.
I only got 2 questions.
- What is LF-22? (mentioned in ending)
- Why humanity thought that using the devil engine to be it's savior was a good idea? 😂

@@talhajaved9265LF-22 I assume is the name of the unit or fleet of ships that you came in with for this stage.
My guess is that with something like this out in the universe conquering the whole place, times would feel bleak enough to make people want something that could stand up against that. The Devil Engine looked like it gave them that impression, but it looks to have just made a larger mess.
All in all, this style of writing in how intriguing but partially vague it is with its details is very in line with the Thunderforce games still. Watching the ending text scroll of Thunderforce 4 and the scenario of Thunderforce 5 should give a feeling of familiarity.

So, humanity created VIC (and probably Andraste) to counter the invaders. So why they created Devil Engine?

My guess is VIC was created just to handle military operations and pull out living beings from the front lines of the war.
The devil engine seems like it was made as a new weapon based on AI, which became sentient and took over control of the military; which VIC was overseeing.
