Thank you for your video. On the P- side of the shunt do I connect the trailer ground that’s attached to the trailer frame, also have a generator ground that I would attach. I can see nothing else that is a ground in the battery bay to connect. My light continues to flash in shore power mode.
What about if you have a separate charger cable on your BMS?
very well explained however I have some doubts
1- why dont you power shunt from the last battery positive (thw one which has got its neagtive terminal connected to the bms -ve ) , whats the logic behind that?
2- what does P- stands for , is it pack?
3- I want to basically connect a load and battery charger and let the bms decide when to cut the FETS off or on depending on the set voltage limits , how would I make a connection in such a scenario?I am using 4s LiPo cells ( 6ah each) , using a battery monitor and balancer board from TI.
Would you be able to add a on/off switch on the pos(+) wire that is powering the shunt? For the intended purpose of cutting power to the display while still having the ability to power the load.
I’m making a waterproof battery box for a trolling motor for a kayak and want to save as much battery as possible.

Hello..can I know if is possible to install shunt 100A with screws to the wood? I have fear it became very hot and take fire..I don't know if is a stupid question? Thanks..
The shunt don't get hot if you have over sized it. Ide be worried if it's getting hot! I have put 98amps through my 100amp and it's fine. Unsure of your setup, but if it's getting hot ide size up to the 200amp. Same with all your bits, ide check temperature when load testing.

Thank you for watching. Yeah, we can monitor how much our appliances are drawing. As long as the shunt is able to monitor the volts and amps, unsure of your setup. If you see my latest video on the DIY solar shed, in my power wall you will see I've wired it to capture what's going in and out of the batteries.

Your only taking a voltage reading, so you should be fine.

Hola. Gran error en el montaje. El Shunt debe ir directo a la bateria y el bms despues, porque como tu lo has puesto, no contara el gasto de amperios que te consume el bms y con el tiempo no te dara la capacidad real de la bateria. Siento mi ingles.
