- Hi everyone, today's video is a quick look at the Sony A7C 35mm 1.8 Portrait Photography Examples. Again the combo of the A7C and the FE 35mm 1.8 is so good for portraits and even street photography which I'll share on another video. I also show the camera settings used to takes these photos which was edited in Skylum Luminar AI.

So the Sony A7C is regarded mostly as a video camera but I wanted to show that it fully capable of taking great photos as well! What are you using to take photos?

Thanks so much! I'm a bit biased but for the price range, full frame and of course the quality, it's hard to beat and I've been very happy with it. However if you don't care about full frame then APSC cameras like the Sony A6400-A6600 are cheaper in price and quite comparable in terms of specs. For me, this was a great hybrid camera because I do both video and photos.
Has there been any other cameras you were looking at?
@@MonzonMedia I’m at the beginning stages and deciding between the canon or the Sony eco system.
Ah I see, honestly you can’t lose with either choice however one of the things that swayed me was Sony uses one lens mount system (E-Mount) whereas canon has 4 which is ludicrous. With that being said they are starting to focus only on one mount (RF) but it’s still in progress.
Of course there are many other factors but this was a big deal for me. Hit me up on FB of you ever want to chat about it, I’d be happy to discuss with you based on your needs.
@@MonzonMedia thanks! I’ve got a couple months (planning to ask the hubby for my birthday present) but I’ve heard from many people that it’s better to go with the Sony system.
@@TheESLDoctor That would make a great bday gift! I'd have to agree with your advice that was given currently Sony has more to offer, depending on your budget I'd be looking at the Sony ZV1 if you want something easy and simple, downside is it has a fixed lens but rumour has it a new version might be coming out soon. The A6600 is also something to look at, this has interchangeable lenses and the A7C is the next step up as an entry level full frame camera. As I've said before to other people, it's more about the lens selection that gives you that certain look, any camera body nowadays has more than enough features and bells and whistles.
