Thanks for doing this experiment for us, I can definitely see the difference. Personally I was thinking of getting the comb attachment for when I straighten my hair, like to brush/blow dry it straight first before going in with the flat iron.

My Dyson came with the comb attachment but I haven’t tried it yet for volume. I may have to give it a try. I usually start by diffusing upside down for ~5 mins. Then stand up and flip the hair over side to side.
Tried the curly girl method and it didn’t work for me. On top of having no volume my scalp was killing me from sulfate free shampoo. Manes by Mel saved my scalp when she said use sulfate.

The left side looks way better! Your hair looks healthy and bouncy on the left ( your right ) and the right looks weighed down
I would say try again where you come in at the very end with the Dyson comb and see if that works better.
So follow my normal diffusing method then use the comb towards the end of the process?

I only used it once because it blew my hair around lol but I watched other reviews and I guess I was doing it wrong. I’ll eventually retry it

Yea I usually do it upside down for volume but this is a good alternative

Yup, I have a whole video talking about why I don’t follow the curly girl method.
Manes by Nell says to use the stain comb attachment after you blow dry to fluff out the roots for more volume
