I think this much improvement has been made due to the incredible competition from the other brands. Samsung can't be sloppy anymore regarding their flips and folds and it's GREAT 💪🏾 And kudos to you for the great review as usual 🙌🏾

What are you talking about? Samsung is still sloppy. Motorola RAZR+ has a bigger outer screen and it's 144hz. Samsung is only 60hz.

For a flip,it is really difficult to add an under display fingerprint,because it would render the cover screen almost pointless,since you still have to unlock it
I 100% agree on the camera's. The lackluster camera is what keeps me from buying one.
Unless you're a professional cameraman, the ones on the current device are still pretty damn good. Then again I have the Flip 4, so I might be a little biased.
The cameras are more than enough for basic shots and social media uploads... which are what the target buyers mostly do. This model wasn't targeted at power users or pro photographers.

I have the Flip 4 which I've had since August 2022. The cover screen upgrade on the 5 looks like a big improvement, as I'll be honest I've never really bothered with the cover screen on the Flip 4. I really wish they'd upgraded the cameras though! The main thing that puts me off upgrading is that the pre-fitted screen protector has already started to crack along the screen where it folds. Not only can you see it but i feel it every time I touch that area of the screen. So I've logged a support call to send it off to Samsung to get it replaced. I need to do this by next month as its free within the first 12 months, meaning I'll also be without a phone during that period. So no walk in place with Samsung or certainly not in my area (Greater Manchester). So in all, I love the form factor of the Flip but personally I can't trust the screen or protector from cracking again so I won't be upgrading this time around.
I agreed, is very cute and good improvement but , after months no working same .
They changed the screen protector on my flip 3 free of charge and within 15 minutes in Samsung store in Prague. Easily. And the warranty was already gone long time ago.

Flip or fold?
I just put my hands on z fold 5 at my local Bestbuy and it is Lighter in weight and the screen gets brighter and the crease was DEFINITELY LESS NOTICEABLE, U can almost not see it or feel it... and could not see or tell the inner screen protector was there... this is compared to the z fold4..
I'm actually impressed about the crease being less noticeable..😮😁👍WOW.. the s pen and the case is also nice and light and flat/thin..

I had the previous Flip. I didn't mind that dip from the fold. The thing I did find annoying is the factory scree cover eventually does end up peeling up on the fold. U can nor get a 3rd party screen protector that's is decent. I used mine for a year. The protector started to peel up. I sent it back. They sent me a refurb with just 2 separate prices of plastic on the screen. Then they told me to send it bk in to get a factory protector again. So I did it took 2 months to get back. I got a loaner phone but when I started to open and shut the phone again the factory screen protector started to peel up again. I told them that. They told me to send it in again. But it would have been another 2 to 3 months with a loaner phone. By then I was due for a upgrade. So I said screw it and got a s23 ultra. I wouldn't invest into a fold again until they can figure out the screen protector or a 3rd party can beat the factory screed protector and and insure the cover protection

They kept cover screen 60HZ , so that they can upgrade it to 120 HZ next year and show it as a improvement😂

in a couple more years, the foldables will be so sick that having a normal "old style" regular slab phone will be like riding horses instead of using cars.
P.S. This year's release was just basically to get the device folding flat and to take any input from mass customer usage to improve that hinge and folding mechanism. Next years it will be a little wider with the s-pen housed inside the phone ( i know this as fact), and a better water/dust rating + better cameras. I just bought the 5, and will trade in next year to get the 6 b/c it will be sick
I'm sorry but they're not the future, they are pretty cool but there are still going to be many more people who prefer a regular phone than a foldable. Even with extremely advanced technology here in a few years they're still going to be less reliable and durable in their screen and body department than a regular phone, not to mention that they're kind of more impractical because while you may be able to technically have a smaller phone that could adjust to be bigger and vice versa You're still having the extra weight of a whole another section of phone on affordable version of phones and then with the flip phones people like to slam them shut because that's how most people use flip phones and they crack, they're just not practical

Maybe they'll make the Fold 6 be 76.2 mm (3") wide when folded, and the Flip6 wider as well. These phones are tall, so the narrow screen has an odd ratio. That said, I like my flip 4 although I rarely use the outer wiget screen, and so the 5 looks like a real upgrade! Tent mode looks useful too.

i think that they would never max out the fold specs to match the S series, beacause if they do... they probably kill the s series making it almost useless. Still i hope they make a flagship specs fold with a s-pen slot!

Hey Hayls. I love your videos. I have an apple watch that glitches so much. When I charge it I can hear the ding sound. But on the screen, I can see every individual pixel without seeing every color. When I hold the crown and side button nothing happens. I put it in rice even though it's never touched water. I think it might be overheated. Not sure. Before any of this happened the watch was moving on its own. I turned on taptic time from one of your other video's and it started vibrating without me even touching the screen. It isn't even paired to my phone because I turned off Bluetooth to save the battery. Please help if you can.
