That was very helpful and effective teaching - I have a lot better "sense" of Beng Chuan now. Excellent, clear, photography, too. Many thanks for publishing this,
These videos are great please keep posting and teach me I'm from Australia!
This was very helpful
Thanks, I wish I had seen this video earlier!
Can you tell me what is the stance the students are standing? I've never seen students stand like that while the teacher is demonstrating
Ballistic N The stance is a basic 蹲樁 post standing. It is typically done to help strengthen the legs, and is usually taught to beginners. It’s also just good to do now and then to reinforce leg strength, learning how to relax the kua, and keep the back straight.
Question- what is the chinese/English name for your horizontal fist punch before the back stepping beng quan?
I’ve properly trained wing chun and now hung gar but only study xingyi online to get a cursory idea of how other arts work, see the similarities and bring a deeper understanding to my own gong fu.
Thanks much for sharing! Your videos are clearly explained and well shot. I appreciate the time spent in posting them and the willingness to spread your art. Dotzay!
Excellent, teachers form great, possible to post your linkage?
Come hear after reading kenji manga .
Same jajaja
This is not Xing Yi Quan, nor Beng quan, this is Bagua😅
Master performance didn't look too good tbh.
Yea his hands and feet are not arriving together at the same time.
Looks like it came out of a paperback booklet from 1930’s Shanghai. Reprinted in Taipei. I don’t think this beng Chuan is going to be effective in serious combat. In spite of this practitioner’s authoritative bluster ( usefully applied to westerners’ pocketbooks) I truly and sincerely from the bottom of my heart hope he can find a genuine teacher with real skill who can correct his errors and put him onto the right path
Agreed, fake.
meh...
