❗From Songbird Node version v0.6.4 the folder structure has changed from `flare` to `go-songbird/avalanchego`

I'm curious, suppose I want to run a node, but I don't want to pay the monthly price. Suppose I get some random people who feel the same so we split the cost of running a node. Is there a trustless smart contract system that could collect the money from the group to pay the monthly fee?

This is a great tutorial, Thank you.
I've a spare server, all other technical requirements are fulfilled, I'm going to setup an Ubuntu server, and run a test, but is it worthy to dedicate a server to run as SGB validator node (assuming I managed to add/white-list my Static IP) ?
    Thanks Again dear.

Validator operators are a subset of FTSO data providers. So for that you'll need to become and FTSO data provider. If you're running an observation node, then you should probably have a use case in mind for it.

Noob here. . .what's the benefit of running a node? Do you earn SGB or is this only for developers and a project, or for altruism? Thanks

Observation nodes are primarily used by applications built on the network (ie. FTSO data providers, exchanges, etc) and are publicly offered by some entities for the community to access the network - they do not earn rewards. Validator nodes do earn rewards, but require certain eligibility requirements and additional configuration.
