- Is this the BEST harbinger build for PvP and WvW in GW2? In this video I am reacting to some amazing power harbinger gameplay in PvP uploaded by Baz. He demonstrates that power harbinger is definitely viable in the upcoming End of Dragons expansion. Will you play this build?

Both! but prefer condi, coz im condi scum

Also check Zar video about harbinger, he plays both condi and power, worth watching for comparison. He also forces himself to play power pistol (but he is aware that axe is a way to go)

Power always. With the lack of sustain the other necro specs seem better for condi, but tbh condi just never feels good or totally makes sense to me lol
I think for now i stick to Reaper. Would be a nice one Hollts. Your Reaper against his Harbinger ^^

First : As u can see at 4:01, I show the heal that goes from 7k3 to 5k on Build Editor. Patch.
I didn't see you talking about the heal or my english is trash maybe : D
As you say the well could be replaced by "Spectral displacement".. It's true !
But right after u said that the war horn could also be replaced by a "Focus".
I half agree with that, for the transfer of alterations it's great and it allows you to survive against condi/rev condi thiefs for example (EOD included.)
To be totally honest with you, if you look at my gameplay you will see that my lincel is always at 100% and that life force is not needed! That's why the lincel mechanic has been killed but also redesigned on that side. You then talk about my HP at 28000 at the end as opposed to the 33000 on build editor. I confess that I don't understand ahah, i rlly dont get it??????? x)))
Maybe I was stupid but when I talked with you, I said that it would be the one of the best 1v1ner in this game, i meant that it would be the best 1v1ner of EOD. (so y mb sry..) To take an example a DH can eat a Harbinger very easily, I hope the other specs will be deteriorated to let the new specs take over. ! Concerning my build, it is necessary to put in the head that new rune and amulet will come soon, big patches.!! Ect, so y my build will be much worse when taking into consideration changes in specs and utilities.
The ulti passed to 90 seconds will not be really viable anymore and I do not have idea to replace it, There will be only the well viable and for an ulti in power, it will be the decadence... I feel that we are going to produce a condi harbinger unfortunately :'( ... I find that disgusting... but anyway that's the game. Thanks u so much to share this vid! I hadn't seen it, and it's a pleasure!

Just out of curiosity, do you see any way this could be played in a wvw zerg setting? I know this spec is uber squishy but if you have a dedicated scrapper and healbrand, I wonder what it could do. The utility changes also seem interesting and might make them a bit better for larger group play.
To be honest, I doubt that harbinger will be any good in zergs. It has a weird close/long ranged playstyle and doesn't bring much group support. Maybe boon sharing with potions?
honestly i think they went overboard just completely removing the heal. i understand they removed it because people couldn't get the LF to even get into shroud, but all they had to do was make the draining LF to heal only active during shroud.
Exactly - that would have been a much nicer change! Now we have.... nothing.

Personally I think grieving with curses and soul reaping is the way to go. People are sleeping on Doom Approaches as the ultimate sustain choice. In shroud you get 94% crit chance (with fury), 219% damage 2k power and 1547 condition damage. The biggest limiting thing would be staying alive outside shroud
Doom approaches just makes you have more condi damage? How is that sustain? Grieving does indeed look nice.

I personally also want to go hybrid. right now I am still using a powereaper, but I like the theme of having riskier play for more condi dmg, however I am not happy, that they removed the passive heal and reduced hp reduction. I don't think harbinger can exceed in neither in power nor condi so that's why hybrid seems to be the only choice.

Imagine if the float stole Life Force from those who got caught in it. Also the information on Gw2 skills about the Harbinger is from the first beta, they removed the slow from elixirs

I don't see how harb is better than reaper or scourge. I'll use my hp to unlock it but i don't see myself playing it in any situation.

if it is the same as last beta it will be dog tier. only good for meme 1 spamming against bad players. it wont have representation in at, mat.
to prove this just think about what it will do when getting jumped by a holo/rev/mirage/ranger/thief etc. The mobility is nerfed and clunky. The necro kit cds and core weapon cast times and qol does not go well with the full glass gameplay of harbinger. All the shown clips are against pepeg eod specs.
The mobility is better than reaper imo since you have harbinger skill 3 and 4! The sustain has indeed been nerfed a lot, but hopefully anet will decide to add more active defence to harbinger.
The amount of shadowstep/teleport in other power specs makes me very nervous to rely entirely on kite. Camping no port is neccessary but if you're relying on melee its gonna mean being in a bad and vulnerable state so much. Without block or invuln being true glass cannon is scary for nec. Basically thief with bigger hp pool instead of constant shadowstep/stunbreak, not sure how i feel about that trade
Fair point - lets hope we get enough power creep ourselfs to counter it....
