  • Great funk 45 out of Portland, Oregon with a deep soul ballad on the flip. Pressed on the Vanco label in 1972.
    Here's some info about them:
"Around 1971 he co-founded the group called Rated-X which was derived from Clarence's original group The Chandaleer's. The members of Rated-X were Ronnie and Donnie Miller, Norman Sylvester, Penny Fonteno, Big Bob, and Leroy Smith with Pat Nelson and Myrtle Warren as backup singers and dancers.
Some of the places Rated-X performed were Shags's Arena grand opening and also became Shags's first house band, The Texas Playhouse, Jewella's, Ratskella's Tavern at MT. Hood,Oregon and Sunset High School, in Beaverton, Oregon. This group released a 45 (record) called "What You Gonna Do About It", an original written and arranged by Clarence Rogers.
This single was on the Vanco label and received many requests and lots of air play on the radio station KQIV. Rated-X also did guest appearances on KATU-TV show, an ABC affiliate, called "The Third World", hosted by the late George Paige."

Thank you for posting this. My dad should be in oregon's music Hall of Fame. He had major influence on the music industry and gave people a start in their career. I wish more gave him credit where credit was due.
