As well as being a member of the StopGap Dance Company, Laura Jones was a dance captain for the Paralympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies. One of the rising stars of the dance world, Laura was the first wheelchair user to study dance at college and is at the forefront of creating challenging and thought provoking contemporary dance pieces. Mik met up with Laura as she prepared for a dance workshop at Surrey University in Guildford.

Love it! This what I'm doing and training to be a dance leader with a group in Herts called ActOne Arts Base , which helps with children and adults who have disabilities to do adaptive dance and drama in sessions and holiday projects. Look them up! Maybe come and interview us trainees and see what we are doing!
