I actually think Pudding might come back into the story and here’s why I think this, and it plays into an idea I’ve had for a very long time. The first theory is that Blackbeard is going to Whole Cake Island to take it over as his own territory. Blackbeard is the kind of person who will take any opportunity to gain power and will wait for the perfect time to achieve his goals. Right now Totto Land has been destroyed by Big Mom’s rampage in the WC arc and most of the strongest fighters in the Big Mom pirates are in Wano. Sure Some heavy hitters like Cracker and Katakuri are still there but due to their injuries from Luffy they would not be capable to handle a full blown invasion from the Blackbeard pirates. Plus we’ve been told time and time again by Oda that one of the reasons the Yonko don’t go to war very often is because the others would come in and trample on them after the war is over. With the Wano War going on at the moment, I think it would be fitting for Blackbeard to start making big moves against Kaido and Big Mom. So it makes sense for the character to do this but how would it progress the story? Well another thing that we know about Blackbeard is he will use underhanded tactics to get what he wants. He will go for the easiest route possible to achieve his goals and that’s why he waits so long for the right opportunity. And I think Pudding is the key to achieving his goals. A lot of people think Blackbeard will steal away Robin from Luffy like Kaido or Big Mom but there’s a major flaw in this thinking and that’s Robin would rather die then give up the location to Laugh Tale. Simply because she knows that Luffy and The Straw Hats will save her, so how can he get the information out of her? Well it’s simple, have Pudding use her Devil fruit on Robin to steal the information directly from her head. Multiple times in the series it’s been reinforced in our heads that Pudding is incredibly important, even in Chapter 999 she was brought up in Big Mom and Kaido’s conversation about how to get the one piece. So I can’t see Oda dropping these hints of Puddings importance and not having it be used in some way. Now yes when Pudding’s importance is brought up it’s about her being a Three-Eyed person, however we can’t forget that she already has the tools available to find the One Piece and that’s with her Devil fruit. I think when Blackbeard figures out what her ability is, he will kidnap her immediately because he knows that it would be the best and easiest way to get the location of Laugh Tale out of Robin.
