On today's episode of Car Trek, AutoTempest challenged the guys to drive their bargain exotic cars 200 miles on a single tank of fuel, with no highways. It was supposed to be a relaxing country drive, but the guys couldn't follow directions and got themselves involved in some good old fashioned motorsport. Well done. Often the guys would be lulled by the gravitational pull of the oft-used similes, but Hoovie did manage to escape the gravity well and actually execute a proper metaphor, as required by Tempest.

The reason Top Gear originally worked ws because they were actual car nerds who had their own shows. Pretty much like these guys.
When they tried to import it originally, they found some stars and some scripts and thought it would work. Which it did not.
I'd watch an actual weekly show with them in it.
It's goood but it's not that good yanno. I love all 3 UA-camrs and seeing them all together with 3 sports cars is nice and yeah a weekly show would be nice but not too many people would care.

It's so great seeing Ed driving a car like he means it, so often we see him talking about really driving cars. It's great to see him actually driving the cars and putting them through their paces. I love how relaxed Hoovie is with everything. He knows its going to go bad for him. He really understands his cars limits, which seems to be the point of this whole series.

Same deal with the mkIV supra , but would you choose this new 'top gear' over no top gear? I would. These guys have a chemistry that works, yes it's walmarts brand great value, but ya know it's good enough and is still enjoyable. If these guys made it at a tv show I would tune in every week

Two days ago I was convinced I would own a 360 Ferrari "my childhood dream" or a lamborghini Gallardo. After watching this and discovering how unreliable they are I'm totally rethinking that and looking at a Corvette C8.

Man, Hoovie had a ROUGH day. That clutch slipping at 27:20 is hard to watch. Kudos to Hoovie for holding a brave face since he tanked the Ferrari's clutch on the strip. I hope he slept well that night.
With the big 3 out of Top Gear and The Grand Tour winding down I appreciate these guys attempt at recreating another US version of a mash up of those 2. I regularly watch Tavarish and Hoovie for their oddball content and am new to Ed, but they do have solid chemistry. For what is realistically a low budget Grand Tour I think these guys are doing pretty good.

What's crazy is that they're running times in the neighborhood of a stock or mildly tuned Ford Fusion Sport (as well as a lot of other very budget friendly, understated, modern sporty sedans).

The emphasis is on ‘cheap’ although I’d definitely draft them in to replace Paddy Mcguiness and Freddie Flintoff on the current lame version of Top Gear UK. Chris Harris I actually quite like and could be a ‘fourth musketeer’. The OGs are quite safe on Amazon they’re like the original Star Trek crew!
@@SlinkiestPopi Tavarish is also the most mechanically inclined, like Hammond. Hoovie is James May because he ended up in the "technically worst car" thinking he made the best choice. And Ed is Jeremy Clarkson because neither of them know how to turn a wrench and think the solution is always to drive fast (When Ed was talking to the mechanic about his wheels vibration)

What I can appreciate is that they’re giving challenges that show each persons strengths, not just focusing on one. For example, wrenching on cars is Tavarish’s thing, telling stories is Ed’s thing, etc. Keep up the good show guys!

I lost it when Tyler finally got through his review. I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes. It made me think about all the times you finally get something right after trying for ever. Like when you completed level 8 in Super Mario Bros for the first time!!! Great series guys!!!
