The funny thing about the "BCE/CE" is that it's not even true. The callendar was made later with an assumption of when Jesus was born, and it was rather accurate, but not exactly. Nowdays we have more resouces and can cross-reference events mentioned, such as the counting of people and know that Jesus of Nazareth was born in the year 6 BCE and died in the year 33 at around 39 years old
This is false, the original conversion calculation is right, at 1 bc. It's 1 bc because by the 6th century, the concept of 0 was not commonly used. The 3-6 bc claim is novel but has poor assumptions about the Gregorian calendar's references and historical references. Still, the point stands that it is the birth of Christ that separates the eras.
