- AZALEA BUSHES ARE THE BEST PLANT 👏 today we set up a farm for azalea bushes and moss layers in our survival world. we also finish off a face of the mountain, basically. The big question is should I plant trees on the mountain?

Pro tip: when setting up massive copper oxidation fields only set out copper blocks (not cut copper) it oxidizes at the same rate but you can then use a stone cutter to turn 1 oxidized copper block into 4 blocks of oxidized cut copper
I was gonna comment something like this too. It's so much more efficient as you don't have to place all those extra blocks.
I use azalea bushes and flowering ones as a checkered floor. Very cool aesthetic.
You should've used that hole that you covered up as the entrance to a giant underground Dwarven city with strip mines and library's and much more it could've been EPIC!
So cool! The roman dome does look really good! And I do like your addition of the trees. They make the mountain look more mountainous.

You could use a wooden button since it has a longer pulse length than a stone/blackstone one (1.5 s instead of 1 s).
The new mangrove wood, would look really good as the red wood for roman roofs instead of red nether brick!

You asked about towers, yes. Having a couple of towers in strategic places would give you a great over view of the lands.
I think more towers would DEFINITLY help bring the area together. Great Idea!! Maybye add some small shrubbery instead of big trees.

The slightly darker stem block on the dome looks surprisingly good, better than quartz would look, IMO. Well done!
I suggest putting a wooden button on the observer. Those take longer to pop out than stone buttons, so you'd have a longer water pulse.
I love watching Wattles' builds because he makes things artistic. I don't have that kind of flair, so I just build things simple, fast, and convenient. Maybe if I watch enough of these videos, I'll up my creativity a bit.
And if not, well, I can always come watch the Wattles channel.

I was in love with azaleas when they first came.
the build looks great!! def recommend adding some greenery to the top of the build to help blend it into the area and accent the copper!
The trees look great on the mountain. It makes it look more natural!
I love your builds! Your videos always inspire me and I look forward to them every day! You've chosen what I thought was an ugly difficult terrain to work with but you've somehow made it look amazing! Its so cool seeing your world develop more and more each day :)

A couple of redstone tips:
1. Since you are using a button, you don't need an observer to output the signal; you can just put the button on any block you want
2. To give the signal to the dispensor a longer delay, you can use a pulse extendor- basically it's like a repeater clock but with comparators, and the comparators compare the signal output from each other and it slowly decreases; might want to put an observer at the other side of it so it can detect the change

I like the trees on the mountain. Maybe replace some of the spruce trees with small custom trees? Like cypress trees (since those trees are found in Greece/Rome)
The music while you farmed the mushrooms was a bop. Like some bomb hold music I can dance to.

Yes, to the towers. HOWEVER!! I think they should be out of the way(they don't get in the way of walking/looking at builds), but still look nice and be visible from certain areas. Also I think it would be cool to have different themes(Quartz, OG, Deepslate, etc).
You can add a chest beneath the hopper too below the composter, so so helpful!
Great build! You could try making your own custom decorative trees in that empty space. That way, you would get nice decoration without blocking the view

I used to say that too, but just from watching creaters like wattles and fwip and other great builders, I realized i am at the point where im proud of my builds. I bet if you practiced you would have skills that could compare

i do love me some quartz in a build that makes sense. what better use than a Roman/Greek style build! also, the axe IS the preferred tool for breaking mushroom blocks. it's only natural that the durability took a hit, since you farmed a LOT of mushrooms.
Wattles you can remove the look of the observer from your build by leading redstone into a sand/gravel block with a piston underneath. Observer facing at sand/gravel and repeater behind observer.
He could just move the observer back 2 blocks, put down some Redstone and then cover it with any full block and put a dark oak button on it to lengthen the duration the water is out

Looks very good. I think some amethyst in the center of the ceiling could look good. You could try a waterfall or other water feature n the back side of the domed structure to make the backdrop that much better too. Looks good as is though; keep up the good work!

If you want a better water collection mechanism you can do something like button->repeater extender->observer->dispenser.

If you're wanting to make a mycelium farm, you should but some sort of border around the dirt you want the mycelium spread to so grass can't spread to it. Alternatively, you could have simply used podzol.
Love it and I have an idea for all the villagers put them in ur buildings and around the base it would be ur little town and ur place wouldn't look so empty it would have people everywhere

The idea is to manipulate the potato farm so it goes to a hopper and then from the hopper to the composter...
Just like that you have an automatic boun meal farm (my original design is with regular seeds because I am always geeting to much and have nothing to do with them but it also includes the system that organizes the items)

Basic redstone tip, while the polished Blackstone button looks nice (infact it's my favorite) the wooden buttons have a longer redstone pulse, if the pulse was slightly longer, then the water would have time to push 💯% of the drive to the hoppers, lossless
Also instead of repeaters, which won't extent a pulse, use a pulse extender witch in it's most simple is just 2 comparators at some redstone
I had a thought at the end. You could get the roots from that rooted dirt and use those for some decorations on other builds.

Tip: oxidize the copper blocks before crafting them into cut copper blocks. Since I it’s a 4:1 ratio you’ll be placing and picking up fewer blocks.

You can put a hopper underneat your composter. You don't have to do it manually, the more you know
Wattles, great vid but piece of advice, when oxidizing copper, oxidize the copper blocks not the ones from the stone cutter to save time bc then u could stone cut the oxidized blocks into 4 of them

Another possibility instead of the mushroom stem blocks, could be the calcite around geodes, but that is limited & to the best of my knowledge can't be reproduced, so the mushroom probably is better. But the calcite looks cool too!

I think no trees unless you do some very fancy custom trees, but...yanno, It's your world, so if you like it, then it's good!

If you want trees, you should make custom ones with fence. Or, dont do trees, and maybe make a small waterfall with a pond or something.

You should try making a megabase in this world!
you can also use a hoe on the rooted dirt in the farm to turn it into regular dirt, and then the water will collect the roots !

For the bone meal auto thing, put hoppers around the base of it and a chest underneath. The hoppers collect the bone meal that is spit out. Or if it's not automatically spit out put a hooper below it and a chest below that. It will automatically go into the chest.

PPT needs some TLC. If it is being "dug" then there shouldn't be any trees around it, but if "not dug" cover that thing with trees bushes vines and everything inbetwix. P.s. Spread your builds out a little it will give our eyes some breathing room to take it all in. Also. Composter farm should be installed in all of your villager farm composters to greatly increase your bone meal output. Probably wont ever need skeletons again. Looking good, W. Keep it up, buckaroo.

The lush caves and everything in it is probably one of the best updates
Wattles you should really make some sort of hot air balloon or something around the iron farm so it isn't just a floating box in the sky

And the delay on the repeater only delayed the signal. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

You can oxidize the original block of copper and craft the profit block with the oxidation. Profits x4
If it works, maybe make that the entrance to your storage system? Mountain vault storage system? Maybe add a Lime Axolotl
