doesnt using wordpress defeat the purpose? I was hoping of finding a video on how to build tor sites manually with HTML and other languages while avoiding de-anonymizing code like javascript. I wasn't sure if HTML 5 would work, but it would be nice to have a walk through of using code to securely create a tor site without relying on vulnerable services like wordpress.

Depends on your purpose. I made this with a particular kind of person in mind, the kind of person who only wants to get a fancy self-hosted website up without buying a domain name and without forwarding ports on their router. For someone whose purpose is to protect their users' privacy, try a file server that doesn't send the user javascript.

From about 7:14 -- 8:00 I show how to put any file into the directory that tor is serving files from. If you don't want to use wordpress but just html and other languages, stop the video at that part, go to the directory I pointed out in the video, remove everything that's in it (if there's anything in there), and create a file there called index.html. Whatever HTML you put in index.html will show up as a webpage for anyone visiting your tor domain.
