Thank you so much for this, kind sir!!!! it worked! Just wanted to share for anyone that doesn't have access to the adjustments in duotone from the "Edit image" menu (if you are editing a photo), switch to the OLD version of the "edit image" menu. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the menu panel and you can choose to switch to the old version.
Oh my godddd. I just got a bunch of Cricut files and I converted them to .png and made them transparent and then I used this technique and NOW I CAN HAVE ANY COLOR omg. I have so much clipart I can use now. You rock!
Yes I just learned about SVG this week making it super easy to convert images and upload so they can be recoloured. Does not work perfectly for all images but simple elements are fantastic. Great tips. I did not know about the other options outside of changing saturation etc. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Aurelius, Canva is so powerful BUT you need the training to discover how powerful it really is. Thank you for the ongoing training, my images have improved so much since I have been following you. Cheers
Oh my gosh, you seriously always answer the questions that no one else can answer! I’ve been needing to know to do this. I don’t know how to use photoshop. You’re the best! 🙏🏼✨✨
thanks! I was STRUGGLING to adjust my logo color each time I used it in Canva. I kept having to use other sites and import it hoping the color matched!
Hi, I understand your keystrokes to change the logo color, but in my pro version purchased recently I don't have a effects option, only a edit image option which when I select Duotone only gives me different presets to select, not the ability to adjust highlights and shadows? Must be something simple, but it's escaping me???
@@TheOdinFit I had the same issue until I found a question at the bottom asking me if I wanted to switch to the older version of photo editing or keep editing with the new version. Turns out, if you use the older version you have access to duo tone etc
What about when "effects" isn't available at the top menu? I am attempting to use a single Canva element. It's an outline of a white tshirt with a black outline. However, I'd like the entire shirt to be solid black. Unfortunately, the only thing I can change is the single outline color. Does anyone know a trick for being able to fill in the outline with a solid color? Again...the effects option isn't available for this element.
unfortunately canva's elements cannot be changed other than what they allow :/ try to find your own & follow these instructions sorry for the late reply i hope this is still relevant
yeah canva did remove the "effects" option bUT you can still find "duotone" if you select your image, click on "edit image" & then scroll all the way to the "you may also like" section; there you will find a bunch of options to choose from, duotone being one of them & after selecting it you can just follow this tutorial to modify your image as you'd like. sorry 4 the late reply lol idk if you still need this but if anyone else was confused, here you go, hope it helps:')
Hi! If I change the colours of any image and graphic designs to my own design, am I allowed to use that for print on demand for tote bags, mugs and T shirts? Thank you.
When I drag and drop the image into Canva and then click on it the "Effects" Button does not show up. Where the "Effects" button should be it just gives me an option to "Edit Image" what am I doing wrong? Should I not be using a PNG file?
hello, wonderful video. ì f i have a fabric sofa and i want to change that sofa to a leather sofa with grain, can i do it in canva. i can upload the leather image to recolor and change material of the sofa ?
hello! thank you, I appreciate the tips in this video. Any advice on how to figure out changing bullet points? I have a client that uses orange bullet points in all of their files (because it matches their logo) that I am converting for them from PPT to Canva for ease of use across teams but I am perplexed on changing out these bullet points! I hate to tell them "sorry, you'll have to just settle for black" because I can't highlight just the bullet points to change the color per these tips. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
You need to click on your text or image and then click "edit image". In the search bar to the left under "edit image" type in DUOTONE. It will pull up and ask you if you want to use it.

Thanks so much for this video! What type of file should your image be to do this? Thanks:)

Does this work for the phone version?? Because i don't see duotone on the Canva app on my phone
hi, but my canva isn't showing adjustment option in duo tone
same here...
So how can I add a checked multi colour pattern inside the image?
don't have duotone option....
You need to click on your text or image and then click "edit image". In the search bar to the left under "edit image" type in DUOTONE. It will pull up and ask you if you want to use it.
The shadow option doesnt give a color palette option but shows some predefined colors only. How to get the palette?
