"Who's heart are you?" "No ones anymore. They took my name- everything about me. "I cannot be certain. He's been changed beyond recognition- his Heart replaced with anothers." "No. This isn't the real world. And I AM here, but this isn't what I really look like. How'd you recognize me as Yozora?" Yozora and the Nameless Star are literally the remnants of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. They were bodysnatched and bastardized by FFXV. It's incredibly dark and sad when you think about it.
I can't say bastardised by ff15. Yes, I do agree with a fact that ff15 was changed way too much than versus 13. But the form you still see in ff15, the main cast still do a great job(except Luna ,I guess). Part of me and many people would still love to see what Nomura-san's vision was for the game but consider, the project was way too slow to develop ( I don't blame Nomura-san but rather square enix who made the awful crystal tools, which couldn't handle the game properly and I guess the ps3's architecture may have played a part here). With such a broken mess it was, tabata-san had to join the pieces together somehow. The base game still fell short in many areas.(I just don't like ch10-14, it felt like it was glued together at last second.) But the patches and dlc made it way better. I own the pc version, I do feel bad for those people who bought the day one edition and had to spend more than 100 dollars to get the full scope of the game. But at the end, I do think ff15 is one of my favourite games of all time. Its just my opinion, you may disagree with it. I would like to hear your opinion on it too.
@@Rex-zm7xb I have the same opinion about the game. It was great game represented in broken way, could have been the best final fantasy game ever made. Sadly rushed as hell....
@@Rex-zm7xb XV's main cast are one of the few good things about the story of the game. The friendship between Gladiolus, Prompto, ignis, and Noctis is so believable and beautiful that it makes our hearts feel warmth. And Ardyn was also a pretty good villain, but he had such a short time in game story that they had to make a full dlc making him a good guy and fucking up the Shakespearian inspired villain he was, fucking up the Hamlet vibe of the lore... And also everything else felt so empty, the world was empty as hell (except for altissia) we never got to see insomnia in it's mightiest, and that was even teased when the game changed to XV, and there is a dev demo where they are walking in the city and having fun, so everything was there, but Tabatha fucked that up. Yeah they tried to fix the game with patches and dlc's and expansions; but at the end, they left it unfinished. Even Lunafreya was forgotten, when she had tons of potential I really love ffXV, I love the relationship of the guys in it, I love the gameplay, I love the lore. But they really fucked the game up, not just SE, but also the fanbase
The only person Sora doesn't know by name is the nameless star. He brings up "That girl told me about you," when talking to Yozora. She's definitely who Yozora is looking for.
My headcanon which I need to copy and paste. Is VsXIII is alt world Noctis is able to Dream Drop Distance style travel to, every time he is asleep in FFXV. Duscae Demo he is woken up. The carbuncle is the summon, that papa king gives to Noct to watch over him help fall asleep to (Kings Quest). In the Platinum demo, and Choco-Mog festival, carbuncle is there. I named it Stella. Even in the main game Prompto takes a pic of it. That’s how I kept Stella alive in XV and as way to bridge the two stories together.
"As a hardcore Stella fan" u havent seen shit but an bad cgi trailer and ur crazy after a 3d model. There is nothing existing to be an hardcore fan of her. Wtf
@@xStanyyx She was in more than a single trailer. The dynamic of her being a rival/antagonist, as well as a love interest, is the first time we would have gotten a dynamic like that in the series (correct me if I'm wrong). I adored the design and role of Stella more than I did with Luna despite what little we know about Stella. You need to chill out. I'm not some weirdo with an infatuation for Stella. I love the concept and what could have been, knowing fully well we may not get something like that ever again.
@@YoMamaBih well u are a weirdo. just like everybody else who fucking hyped the hell out of her when they first saw her 10 sec. Clip. Hardcore fanboys of a 30sec screentime anime 3d model with 0 dialog whatsoever. U need to fucking chill. U saw nothing
That would be a great plotline right there. Yozora's mad quest to restore the girl who had *EVERYTHING* taken away ftom her. That kinda romantic epicness just tugs at my manly heartstrings tbh.
@@bennyhansenlifindra1636 Kinda, but *WAY MORE EPIC* . Plus, Stella literally had everything stolen from her. A much more powerful motive for me versus the tying up the loose ends of KH3.
Nomura is a genius!!! He's like I'm expressing my art my way one way or another. Can you imagine when he thought to do it and pull it off without anyone batting an eye. WOW!!! BRAVO Man!!!! Disney's fine with it. SE was busy with 15's DLCs so.... Win win for everyone.
@@horrorpill You know that Square Enix is still the people behind this game right? It's not like it's being watched over and funded by Disney's right pocket
@Arthur Daniel I doubt they'll remake the game. If they do, it'll be too soon. They already released the Royal Edition, which basically adds in what was missing (thanks assholes for making my day 1 edition now obsolete!), so there's not much of a reason to. It was well-received by a lot of people, so they won't be thinking of touching it now that it's done. Especially with how much the game was milked before they ceased updating the game...
I always said that Stella had more potential than Luna in FF Versus XIII, she had something around her, some mistery and some serious and deep decisions to make. Luna was a dull character, she wasn't developed at all and her death was completely forgettable. Well, I guess Stella was a good character that even now Nomura didn't forgot about her at all.
I'm very excited to see Versus XIII themes, characters, and ideas reconfigured to see the light of day in a new story. And I know you are, too! But I do need to point something out: Satire is the wrong word for this. Satire is humor or irony used to expose or ridicule something. This is not satire. It's not really metaphor, either. What Nomura is doing here isn't uncommon for storytellers, authors, filmmakers, and other creative types. When you have a story in your heart, and you're unable to tell it the way you wanted to, or even at all, that story sticks with you. And you try to tell it however you can. He's taking that story, those ideas, those characters, but he isn't satirizing Versus XIII. He isn't doing some kind of metaphor. He's taking characters and ideas he deeply cares about but was unable to see realized in Versus XIII and finding a way to make them still happen. It's a beautiful thing, and I love to see it. It's also not even close to satire. Satire is a joke made at someone else's expense, it's making fun of something else by parodying it. This is something sincere and heartfelt and should be understood as such.
Exactly! Spread them facts! As a storyteller myself, if I see certain concepts that cannot fit at this moment. Then I wait and revise and meld it into another. It’s unfortunate Nomura has this story he wants to tell and he figured out KH was a way to do it. The plot and rules of the KH story is able to lead into having VSXIII realized. Even if he himself was planting those plot threads all along.
Indeed. And to be honest, I really feel people should've seen this coming (maybe not to this extent, but in some form), since back when Nomura was working on Versus XIII, he said he'd reserve anything he can't put in it for Kingdom Hearts, seems to me like he's sticking true to his word. Hell, even before Kingdom Hearts III (and Re:Mind) was released, I had assumed that the Gigas shown in the trailers for the Toy Box world was KH's version of whatever mecha gameplay mechanics were suppose to be in Versus XIII. I honestly thought that if Noctis was to ever appear in Kingdom Hearts, he would be kept closer to Nomura's original ideas for the character, but Yozora and Verum Rex feels like a nice compromise, a way to get his original ideas out without directly stepping on anyone's toes.
This is precisely why I love Tetsuya Nomura so much. He's taking back what's his-- and he's gonna throw it back in the company's face for ruining it beyond recognition of what was his true intention with the game, characters, and story. After everything he's put into it, I personally believe that he deserves to make that game come to life in some way-- And honestly, the darker tone might make the KH arc even more epic for more mature audiences. I really love how he stayed angry in silence and just let pieces of it flow into other projects like this instead of making a serious problem. What a man.
I think I figured it all out. Yozora's world is a "Fantasy based on Reality" and Sora's world a "Reality Based on Fantasy". It seems like Verum Rex and KH are each others "afterlife" so to speak, or at least that the "afterlife" is sandwiched between the two realities. Yozora looks different (cartoony) and Sora looks more realistic when they meet in this dark version of the final world. This area could be the border between the Fantasy world and the "Real" world. In KH sleep and death are closely connected and considering that Versus XIII Noctis was supposed to see the light of expiring souls it would make sense if Yozora has a similar connection to the afterlife and thus when he sleeps he reaches into the limbo layer that Sora falls into after his "death". This is why they meet in Yozora's dream. Verum Rex is a video game in the Toy Story world probably because the one world is the origin of the others fantasy. The guy who created Verum Rex probably pulled the idea of it out of the other world, meaning he probably dreamed about the game idea in his sleep (which is closely tied to death) and thus pulled the concept of it out of Yozora's world. This means that Sora and co. are probably also fantasy characters within Yozora's world (Disney characters) and Sora looks different to the Sora that exists in Yozora world. This is also because they are meeting in the in-between layer where Sora looks more realistic than he looks in Yozora's world, thus Yozora's confusion about Sora's name. Sora's fantasy world has the heart shaped moon and Yozora's real world has a normal moon. This is where MOM putting the heart shape over the real moon comes into play. MOM somehow tries to merge the two worlds together, RECONNECT KINGDOM HEARTS and the hand gesture symbolizing his plan to merge the two planes of reality and fantasy. Furthermore Goatnort's DM in Remind turns the Heart moon into a normal moon as he pulls darkness balls out of the keyholes. This fight is taking place within the sleep/dream/final world layer so they are very close to the afterlife in this fight and when Xehanort uses his DM and goes even deeper into the darkness they actually flip over into the deepest layer of the final world within Yozora's reality, thus the moon shifts to the realistic moon of the "Fantasy based on reality" world.
I've felt such a deep kinship to Stella when she was first announced. I didn't touch XV for months after it was released because I felt it was such a slap in the face for her to be replaced and I was right. There is nothing interesting or compelling about Luna and only served as a plot device. I do hope Versus XIII can return one day. That was the FF game I've been hyped about since I was a teen.
Stella was one of the characters I was most hyped about for Versus XIII (and disappointed about in FFXV) so the potential of finally getting her story is so exciting to me.
You missed the fact that when the two are talking to each other, Sora says “If you’re here, then this can’t be the real world, can it? But wait, that girl, she told me about you.” And the only girl that talked to Sora about someone he didn’t know, was that star. I thought you were going to address that but you missed it entirely, so I thought to help you by pointing that out. So, instead of this being a theory, I might say it’s fact.
Would be nice if we would play Kairi searching for Sora and the transition for us would be, that at the end of the game we find the cure/solution to free Sora. Then as the very last cutscene we free him and this would be the transition to play Sora once again. I liked Kairi in the first KH in the sense, that for a damsel she seemed at least brave enough to body block Sora when they were attacked by heartless. But from then on she was badly portrayed until the Re:Mind DLC. Now I wish for more strong girl power. That would do justice to a character that wanted to be helpful and meaningful from the beginning but was always dumped by the writers.
Perial51 I’m just upset their best idea for her was to let her sleep for a year, sure, it’s a selfless act for her to do that at the minor CHANCE that it could help to find Sora, but I’d much rather her be active and about searching for clues to find him. I’d also much rather have the limit cut stuff be her interacting with the FF guys while Riku is searching for him elsewhere, eventually ending up risking an abuse of the power of waking to search for him and ending up in Shibuya like the secret episode implied before it was revealed to be a dream of Riku’s, it would be cool if Kairi was having that dream instead but it also turned out to be a premonition more or less, a vision of fate.
Well Kairi is princess of Heart. Can use the Keyblade. Can make fantastic lyrik like one Sky one destiny and has transformed Sora heartless to himself agian. Futhermore she was Just trained by Merlin, who do not use the Keyblade. She Put Fight with Xemans in the ReMind Cutscene and Fight with Sora aginst Xehanort. It not as Bad as it Look Like. The Maketing was get peopel There hops Up but Kairi is a great character No dot. So i do not know about Stella. As far as i know threre are No true deatils of Versus XIII original vison so in my honest opintion Kairi has more character develpoment
Yes to this Theory... just yes! the day I found out what ff versus 13 could be, and what was turned into FF 15 was one of the sadder days of my life. 15 is just a shell of versus 13. I am really interested whts going to happen next in Kingdom Hearts. Maybe we'll get the story Nomura wanted to tell all those years ago. I'm 100 Percent behind Tetsuya Nomura and Hingdom Hearts.
I'm getting the vibe that KH characters might be flipped replacements of Versus XIII/Verum Rex characters The guy in the car resembled Luxord incredibly. Also: Gladio/Ignis & Aegis/Magia Yozora/Noctis Stella/"Sora" But...where's Prompto? I say Demyx could be the Prompto nobody of KH/Verum Rex.
As much as I would love some form of FFVXIII continuation I don’t think getting excited about it being a part of KH is a good thing. From what we know of VXIII it was going to be a very dark game, that really isn’t going to work within the world of KH which while it does have it somewhat dark themes, it’s still Disney at the end of the day, there’s NO way they would allow the themes of versus to be in one of their game!
I see two possibilities The first, the upcoming kingdom hearts will have these final fantasy versus xiii concepts, but will adapt it to be part of kingdom hearts, they will explore the death by this after life world, it may have a more serious tone at some points, it will have dreams, after life, yozora/noctis looking for unnamed/Stella, they probably will forget the goddess of death, and the whole fábula nova crysthalis thing. The second possibility I see is that nomura might create a nomura's verse connecting kingdom hearts, the world ends with you, verum rex in one great tale, with parallel universes, in this case, verum Rex can use some of kingdom hearts concepts, but will be darker, exploring death itself as ffvsxiii originally intended.
Hopefully Yozora is just a cameo Noctis makes in KH and the reboot is a proper VSXIII reboot with Noctis as the protagonist, free from the constraints and baggage of KH.
As someone that's been writing a fanfic called FF Versus XV, I am a HUNDRED percent sure that Stella is in this! I thought the star was Strelitzia was because of two things. The shared line 'our secret' between the star and Larxene and the name replacement being Marluxia. Now, Verum Rex is basically Nomura's way of showing how salty he is about what happened to what would have been his first personally directed FF game. And I'm not counting the VII remake because... it's a remake. :/ Anyway, it'll be cool to see some of the concepts he had for Versus XIII. XV was enjoyable but.... compared to the trailers? It's feels like we've basically been lied to xD
I agree with all of your assessments, though I'm surprised you didn't mention that Sora says "you're the one that girl told me about" when he first meets Yozora. That right there solidified it for me. Man, this is one of the most roundabout ways of doing a game reveal, but I'm not upset about it. Kudos to Nomura and staff, getting treated to those teasers was a well deserved prize for all those boss battles.
Loving the parallels and theories that come up. Agreeing with much said perhaps Yozora knows and wants to defeat Sora because for him he came back from the world of the nameless star and thus defeating him could show him a way to enter that world and find "Stella".
@@kenneth27205 Versus XV is the name of the rumored remake from 2018 XD I don't know how that name surfaced, but it stuck. A lot of people that wasn't the remake wants it to be that title
I just had a crazy theory pop into my head! What if... Strelitzia is the one who took Nameless Star's body and identity? And, in a similar vein, Sora just replaced Yozora in the realm of Fiction/Unreality? "They took my name, everything about me". You could interpret that as "they stole my name", or "they destroyed/erased my name" And now I just thought of another theory! "I am here, but this isn't what I really look like! How did you recognize me as Yozora?" "Why do you claim to be Sora?" Maybe Yozora is his real name, but he's trapped in the body of a video game avatar of sorts. And... What if "Sora" is the name of his avatar? He was clearly accusing Sora of identity theft right there, as if Sora *CAN'T* be Sora. "I've been having these weird thoughts lately, like, is any of this for real, or not?" Nomura specifically calls attention to these words from the start of KH1, and states that "these words allowed KH to happen" in regards to Disney greenlighting the project. My theory about this is that Nomura had to structure the game in such a way that everything after the first half of the tutorial could be interpreted as being the overactive imagination of a child (Sora), so that Disney could play it off as them not really being Disney Characters, just a kid's imaginary friends, in the event that Kingdom Hearts bombed. With this in mind, and that the worlds of "Reality" and "Fiction/Unreality" both view their counterpart as a fictional story, and in Reality, Verum Rex is a video game made by Square Enix, and Kingdom Hearts is likely ALSO a Video Game made by Square Enix in Unreality, as it is in OUR world! "None of this makes sense to me", as though they laws or history of the world they currently find themselves in do not follow basic common sense as Sora/Yozora know it. "Don't assume your dreams are just fantasy. If you can imagine a world, believe in it, and Dive right in!" Riku has been DREAMING about Quadratum, Sora was IMAGINING the experience of playing Verum Rex based on watching the trailer. We also see Yozora wake up from sleeping in his car in both Endings of the Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind's Secret Episode, Falsus Rex. Almost like the entire fight between him and Sora was his dream. And Xehanort refers to Unreality as the "other side" of Reality, so I think that what's real and what's fictional are supposed to be relative concepts. Not really related to my point, but more of a tangential point, is that Dylan Sprouse, voice of Yozora, was once the star, of a sitcom called the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, alongside his twin brother, Cole Sprouse. In Season 3, Episode 16, Tiptonline, Zack gets addicted to an online game, and, when he hits rock bottom, Cody says "Dude, it's just a game!" Zack responds, "[Mocking]Dude, it's just a game", then grabs Cody's shirt and says in a rather deranged tone, "Well, how do you know it's not real and all of THIS is just a game?", to which Cody's response is "Because I'm not from the planet Zoltar!", which, even back when I watched the show as a kid, it struck me that Philosophically speaking, that response doesn't actually prove Cody's point. See, his response is working under the assumption that the planet Earth he lives on is real (the flaw in this thinking is apparent when you realize that this is a quote from a fictional sitcom set on a fictional version of Earth) and the Planet Zoltar in the game world is fictional. However, if we flip the script, you have absolutely no way to prove or disprove the fact that the world you live in is actually real. If you were a character in a show, or a game, or a movie, or a Book, or a radio drama, you wouldn't necessarily be aware of that. Not every character is Deadpool. Most characters aren't Deadpool. How then, is the fact that you live on Earth indisputable proof that your life is real?
This theory make sense. This give more context about the Sora Vs Yozora secret boss fight. Possible the whole confrontation is a huge misunderstanding or manipulation part from the Master of Masters, to see them clash against each other.
So then originally Noctis would have been Yozora if Nomura had been able to complete Versus 13 and Stella would have been the Nameless star. That kind of makes me sad we didn't get to really see Nomura's FFV13 and KH3 being combined together.
I would love to see Verum Rex become it's own title or series regardless of how much of it is tied to KH. Yozora has become SO popular that he deserves it lol. And I love the Kingdom Hearts aesthetic and whimsy, so it'd be cool to see a "Final Fantasy" that has more of a Kingdom Hearts flair to it. I'm looking forward more to anything Verum Rex related more than I even looked forward to Versus 13 originally (which was a whole lot lol).
I currently feel neutral on the theory, but if the subtle information is true that is Nomura is sad that his plans for Versus 13 were not fulfilled. Having your project and dream halted is a painful feeling when you strongly desired to complete your work and reveal to an audience. That will be a joy to see more content on Yozora in the future.
Night Sky Prince. Can you look into Noctis weapon Ragnarok in ff15? As I think it’s sound/look/and warping mirror that of Yozora. Also it’s description mentions something about “enhancing kings power”
Thank you Disney for giving Nomura more free will to create the story he wanted for Versus. Noctis and Stella finally can be reunited in the new Kingdom Hearts series, hopefully.
Makes me wonder what Square thinks of all this, this could really be interpreted as an attack on them if Nomura doesn't handle this right. Accusing someone of body snatching Noctis and Stella...who else would be responsible for that except for Square? And why wouldn't they interpret this as an attack on them? It makes me worry...
"I'll save you no matter what. #oath" -??? The ??? is actually Nomura and he's talking about saving Versus XIII even if he has to put it into Kingdom Hearts
This is way better than most fan theories, I don’t like the idea on nomuras revenge because ideas are taken away and reworked later all the time we just don’t normally know about it. I think nomura would be happy to reuse these ideas so the thought that he is salty and this is revenge is sorta obnoxious to assume.
People just don't get it. I'm 36 years young now, married with two sons and a husband. At the time that this game was revealed, I was in graduate school and had been with my now husband for five months. I grew attached to THESE characters and their designs, the little bits and pieces of vXIII's story. I was really looking forward to seeing how Stella and Noctis's relationship was to play out being that they were from two different countries who were at war with one another - it reminded me of 'Romeo and Juliet.' Fast forward to XV and I was severely disappointed. I wanted to like that game, but it was beyond mediocre and bland. The character that they killed Stella off for was nothing but a prop to me. I could appreciate the bond Noctis had with his friends, but that's really it. People get mad at me and bash me when I tell them that vXIII had a more interesting concept than XV and I still stand by it.
@Johnson SwansonJohnson I do agree slightly but do we want a game that hints and dances around adult themes and ideas and gameplay systems and complexity? Simplified so children who like big hero 6 and frozen can spam carnival rides and the x button
This is my theory since I dont agree with the huge 4th wall breaking with ffvs13 Ok... Yozoras girl, the nameless star, recognizes yozora as a completely different looking person... she told sora that "his heart was replaced with another" And she's clearly talking about someone named yozora here because sora said "wait, that girl, she told me about you" and yozora tells sora "this isnt what I really look like". So yozoras heart is in the wrong body entirely. So what am I getting at here? I have a theory that the heart that originally belonged to this noctis/riku lookalike is actually Luxu's original body. Reason being is the crossbow similarity, xigbar/Luxu and this yozora characters are the only 2 in kingdom hearts to use a crossbow. So now that we know what Luxu's original body is, I think yozora is the first body/vessel he switched to. And this vessel/yozora's real body is who the nameless star is talking about and who she is picturing in her mind when talking about yozora. I just wonder what yozora actually looks like.
Maybe Sora frees their hearts. Once their hearts are freed, Yozora and Stella go back to their original Versus 13 forms. My only question is, can Nomura bring the black haired Noctis back through Kingdom Hearts/Verum Rex? Or would Square Enid prevent that? We could just write off FFXV as a parallel universe or a what if scenario. (Since they already added what if scenarios).
Most people would complain and say "Noctis is not Yozora." And I'm like...seriously!? Their big complain is Noctis is more down to Earth, not shallow like Yozora is. And to that I say, Yes, Noctis is more down to Earth and human (should I say) and out going. BUT......that's the Noctis from Final Fantasy XV you're referring to. Yozora is CLEARLY meant to be the Noctis from Versus XIII. The version of Noctis we never got to see too much of. Nomura's original Noctis. Yes, Noctis' design in Final Fantasy XV is still created by Nomura, but NOT his personality. The new team and Hijima Tabata had to change Noctis' character personality completely, since Nomura was no longer on the project and the many changes to the game. The personality we're seeing from Yozora is Noctis from Versus XIII. And I gotta say, I'm glad to see it! Not only is Nomura trying to redo Versus XIII all over again, but he's also trying to revive Noctis from Versus XIII. When Yozora says "he doesn't look like this," I think Nomura is actually trying to bring back the original personality and the design of Noctis into Kingdom Hearts! Him AND Stella! Square better not stop Nomura from what he's doing! Versus XIII MUST come back!
"This is a fantasy based on the reality"... Now these words look even more tragic ... Just think about how the Nomura arranged everything ... The Versus 13 was conceived as a dark tragic story ... and it came out like that ... Only the tragedy unfolded in the real world ... And now the real world is part of the tragedy of Versus ... Before us the chewed and discarded characters whose stories we have not seen, and yet, when they appear in KH3 and hear their dialogs, we can feel and understand almost every reference to events related to their "disappearance"... Truly Nomura cannot let go the Versus... Actually, as most of us probably...
Even though I am excited about the verum rex stuff coming up. But low key sad cuz I really wanted final fantasy level of dark style. Kingdom hearts is kinda childish. Og versus 13 was supposed to be dark af.
I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but I remembered a quote from an interview with Tetsuya Nomura from 2010 that was posted on Kingdom Hearts 3D's KHwiki page. For the longest time I couldn't remember where I'd seen it, but I recently found it again and feel it's relevant to the theories on Verum Rex's connection to Versus XIII (just as something to take into consideration): Tetsuya Nomura: *"Since it's different than the Final Fantasy series which is founded on party play, the way the characters level up is different. Because there are various things that can and can't be done, the things I can't do in Final Fantasy Versus XIII I'm doing in Kingdom Hearts".* - www.khwiki.com/Kingdom_Hearts_3D:_Dream_Drop_Distance#cite_note-9
Before I ever watch your videos about KH3, I could have never thought that there would be easter eggs of Versus XIII. I only thought that Verum Rex was a cool game within a game. I didn't think much when I was talking to the star, having no idea who I was talking to. With your videos, I understand even more about the games I'm playing.
Let's be real here guys, most of us aren't healed up yet the fact that Versus XIII didn't came into fruition, but this brings us hope of what Nomura's potential next project might be.
Thank you so much for this video! You took what I was thinking and put it into actual words. Great job explaining everything. Awesome job as always and looking forward to your next video!
Well the girl's name could be Hoshi, if her name was going to be Stella, then it would be fitting to have the Japanese word for star, I place of the Latin word. I also hope, that this does become a new IP, but has some connections to Kingdom Hearts.
If Noctis's voice actor, Ray Chase, voices the Master of Masters, is it possible that an alternate form of Yozora (maybe a corrupted FFXV Noctis) is the Master of Masters?
I watched that scene with the nameless star the other day, and I 100% agree with this analysis. Damn, made me pine for Versus XIII even more. Keep it up, The Night Sky Prince!
Yozora mean Night Sky in japanese and in Latin is Noctis mean Night then Stella name mean Star so that mean will they use Japanese name for Stella, Hoshi=Star or maybe new name Sorry for my English

Sadly rushed as hell....
this is what i've been saying too!!!!!!
I like both games when they weren’t released, only trailers😢
Even Lunafreya was forgotten, when she had tons of potential
I really love ffXV, I love the relationship of the guys in it, I love the gameplay, I love the lore. But they really fucked the game up, not just SE, but also the fanbase
The only person Sora doesn't know by name is the nameless star. He brings up "That girl told me about you," when talking to Yozora. She's definitely who Yozora is looking for.
sora and him are alot alike sacrificing everything to save the one they care most for i hope kairi gets to meet her
As a hardcore Stella fan and someone who thought she was forgotten about, this brings me great joy.
Sameee

That kinda romantic epicness just tugs at my manly heartstrings tbh.
Kinda like how Sora went on to restore Kairi, but with different situation and higher stakes.

Kinda, but *WAY MORE EPIC* .

TheJozzi lol kinda true tho
Candace White ya and I love how he isn’t holding back and pursuing his long lost dream!
I mean, Stella does literally mean star in Italian.
I want Stella and original Noctis to come back in any form lol. I'm so looking forward to Versus XIII...*sigh
I think Disney gave Nomura more free will than Square Enix. We gotta say our thanks to Disney because they let Nomura used FF Versus XIII ideas.
Wow Nomura is going to bring this series back no matter what and I can’t wait. I think most of of have.
I love anything Versus that's going to be in Kingdom Hearts and looking forward to the future of hopefully Stella's appearance. Stand By Stella!!
I totally agree!!🤗
I'm very excited to see Versus XIII themes, characters, and ideas reconfigured to see the light of day in a new story. And I know you are, too! But I do need to point something out:
Satire is the wrong word for this.
THANK YOU, the word he was thinking of is "reference".
What I learned from this theory: Nomura has a lot of salt to dump.
It's MGS V all over again.
Let's just hope Square doesn't fire Nomura like Konami did with Kojima. :/
@@BknMoonStudios They won't. He's the biggest name they have right now.
Kingdom Hearts: Verum Rex LETS GET IT!
Hopefully this will be an opportunity for a new IP.
I think that would be for the best. KH's story is way too convoluted already to lump more things into it. Make this its own thing.
Honestly I want the game as intended. Everything we were supposed to get was through noctua. To see it compromised shouldn't be forgiven
Righhtttt!!
@BlazedKnifeBladez never know yozora might get his own T- game, maybe explaining his story and sora will be the secret boss
@BlazedKnifeBladez hell give him his own series lol if we're loud enough to square I'm sure they'll listen
What a man.
It would be perfect if whatever it is manages to outsell FFXV.
His weapon wasn't a keyblade. Not sure if that matters but I hope it's not in KH universe because of disney and several other things.
@@RebelReign I don't know if it matters, but his clothing does have a pair of keyblades embroidered onto the shoulder (ala Skull and Crossbones).
@@rileymoore7025 I didnt notice that. Good eye. That's pretty cool I'll give it up
Nomura verum rex of plot twist
Amen to Versus coming back!
It’s so good that we’re probably getting VS XIII in some way shape or form.
Yes it is, I can't wait!
It'll probably to do with the next KH game
How long have we waited... were like old man noctis wakin up from the crystal lmao
Holy shit, I love this theory
Stella was one of the characters I was most hyped about for Versus XIII (and disappointed about in FFXV) so the potential of finally getting her story is so exciting to me.
You missed the fact that when the two are talking to each other, Sora says “If you’re here, then this can’t be the real world, can it? But wait, that girl, she told me about you.”
And the only girl that talked to Sora about someone he didn’t know, was that star. I thought you were going to address that but you missed it entirely, so I thought to help you by pointing that out. So, instead of this being a theory, I might say it’s fact.
I thought about that too, surprised he didn't mention it...
Kid Syd probably just missed it

How deep can we go? Original Versus XIII was remade into XV and now Nomura is remaking Versus.
I highly doubt it because yazora and the verum rex is part of kingdom hearts. He might remake it in the kingdom hearts universe but not outside it.
“A World of the VERSUS Epic.” Anything Versus I’m all for! Love this video!
Marvel VERSUS Capcom? 😂
Stella already has more character development than Kairi
More than Lunafreya too
Perial51 I’m just upset their best idea for her was to let her sleep for a year, sure, it’s a selfless act for her to do that at the minor CHANCE that it could help to find Sora, but I’d much rather her be active and about searching for clues to find him.

Also:
Gladio/Ignis & Aegis/Magia
Yozora/Noctis
Stella/"Sora"
But...where's Prompto?
I say Demyx could be the Prompto nobody of KH/Verum Rex.
Just wanna add Donald and Goofy are also pretty much Magia and Aegis
@@WD_Gaster66 Magia meaning Magic and Aegis meaning Shield, yeah definitely agree!
I see two possibilities
The first, the upcoming kingdom hearts will have these final fantasy versus xiii concepts, but will adapt it to be part of kingdom hearts, they will explore the death by this after life world, it may have a more serious tone at some points, it will have dreams, after life, yozora/noctis looking for unnamed/Stella, they probably will forget the goddess of death, and the whole fábula nova crysthalis thing.
@@deanblackman3675 Agreed. I hope that's the case, and that we finally get to see Versus XIII.

nomura's getting his final fantasy versus 13 one way or another!
.. Came here to say.. This theory was EXACTLY ON POINT.
Coming from the long Ending Scene of Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories
I'm literally playing Remind right now
Omg wouldn't It be so Awesome if we got Some sort of Rebooted Version. Of Final Fantasy Versus XIII from Verum Rex!?! To bad its Only in are Dreams!😭
Lmao next level of breaking the 4th wall
I really WANT and NEED this Story!
Loving the parallels and theories that come up. Agreeing with much said perhaps Yozora knows and wants to defeat Sora because for him he came back from the world of the nameless star and thus defeating him could show him a way to enter that world and find "Stella".
we just want versus XV c'mon 😭♥️
Versus xiii
@@kenneth27205 agreed
@@kenneth27205 Versus XV is the name of the rumored remake from 2018 XD I don't know how that name surfaced, but it stuck. A lot of people that wasn't the remake wants it to be that title
I just had a crazy theory pop into my head! What if... Strelitzia is the one who took Nameless Star's body and identity? And, in a similar vein, Sora just replaced Yozora in the realm of Fiction/Unreality?
"They took my name, everything about me". You could interpret that as "they stole my name", or "they destroyed/erased my name"
And now I just thought of another theory!
"I am here, but this isn't what I really look like! How did you recognize me as Yozora?"
"Why do you claim to be Sora?"
Maybe Yozora is his real name, but he's trapped in the body of a video game avatar of sorts. And... What if "Sora" is the name of his avatar?
He was clearly accusing Sora of identity theft right there, as if Sora *CAN'T* be Sora.
"I've been having these weird thoughts lately, like, is any of this for real, or not?"
Nomura specifically calls attention to these words from the start of KH1, and states that "these words allowed KH to happen" in regards to Disney greenlighting the project.
If you can imagine a world, believe in it, and Dive right in!"
Riku has been DREAMING about Quadratum, Sora was IMAGINING the experience of playing Verum Rex based on watching the trailer.
In Season 3, Episode 16, Tiptonline, Zack gets addicted to an online game, and, when he hits rock bottom, Cody says "Dude, it's just a game!"
Zack responds, "[Mocking]Dude, it's just a game", then grabs Cody's shirt and says in a rather deranged tone, "Well, how do you know it's not real and all of THIS is just a game?", to which Cody's response is "Because I'm not from the planet Zoltar!", which, even back when I watched the show as a kid, it struck me that Philosophically speaking, that response doesn't actually prove Cody's point.
Which could mean the Master of Masters is Square Enix CEO.
So then originally Noctis would have been Yozora if Nomura had been able to complete Versus 13 and Stella would have been the Nameless star.
That kind of makes me sad we didn't get to really see Nomura's FFV13 and KH3 being combined together.
I can bet that Nomura is going to try and make Verum Rex into a full game.
It was pretty obvious it was Stella, however the connections you mentioned are great! I am really excited for this.
After I learned that the voice of Stella in Japanese also voiced the Nameless Star? The connection's waaaay too strong to ignore
This is pretty intriguing. I'm curious to see how FFvsXIII, or at least the concepts of it, unfolds in Verum Rex.
I'm looking forward more to anything Verum Rex related more than I even looked forward to Versus 13 originally (which was a whole lot lol).
i love your videos!! keep it up, man!
I currently feel neutral on the theory, but if the subtle information is true that is Nomura is sad that his plans for Versus 13 were not fulfilled. Having your project and dream halted is a painful feeling when you strongly desired to complete your work and reveal to an audience. That will be a joy to see more content on Yozora in the future.
we need a Final Fantasy Versus 15
Nomura has Said in the past for legal reasons he can't explicitly use the name versus XIII so maybe this is how he works around it while casting shade
Night Sky Prince. Can you look into Noctis weapon Ragnarok in ff15? As I think it’s sound/look/and warping mirror that of Yozora.
Also it’s description mentions something about “enhancing kings power”
We’ll probably going to see Stella’s return in Verum Rex. I definitely can’t wait for a Versus experience.
My heart won't let go, all hail the queen Stella
We need that yozora game!!
Nomura really wants to tell Versus XIII's story one way or another
Thank you Disney for giving Nomura more free will to create the story he wanted for Versus. Noctis and Stella finally can be reunited in the new Kingdom Hearts series, hopefully.
Thank disney? They should be thanking Nomura for creating such a. Amazing game
#oath"
-???
The ??? is actually Nomura and he's talking about saving Versus XIII even if he has to put it into Kingdom Hearts
I was really looking forward to seeing how Stella and Noctis's relationship was to play out being that they were from two different countries who were at war with one another - it reminded me of 'Romeo and Juliet.'
Fast forward to XV and I was severely disappointed.
I see good things in the future of KH knowing versus will be playing a role
Share your feelings on Versus XIII and XV word for word.
I also share your feelings. You're not alone. I was bashed too when saying FFXV did not live up to my expectations of Versus XIII.
So true but now we get a convoluted version ran by Disney geared toward children!!!
@Johnson SwansonJohnson I do agree slightly but do we want a game that hints and dances around adult themes and ideas and gameplay systems and complexity? Simplified so children who like big hero 6 and frozen can spam carnival rides and the x button
I really wish they'd make a full verum rex game 11/10 would buy
Always here. You’re the greatest NSP!!!
Nomura has pure salt going through his veins.
This is my theory since I dont agree with the huge 4th wall breaking with ffvs13
Ok... Yozoras girl, the nameless star, recognizes yozora as a completely different looking person... she told sora that "his heart was replaced with another"
And she's clearly talking about someone named yozora here because sora said "wait, that girl, she told me about you" and yozora tells sora "this isnt what I really look like".
Long live Stella! 👏👏
I look forward to that of versus xv fusion KH. Happy KH.
0:58 looks like Rinoa here
I'm saving this vid to see it later , i'm to bussy right now : )
Even though I am excited about the verum rex stuff coming up. But low key sad cuz I really wanted final fantasy level of dark style. Kingdom hearts is kinda childish.
Og versus 13 was supposed to be dark af.
ru fking serious kh childish do you even know how fking dark the game is
I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but I remembered a quote from an interview with Tetsuya Nomura from 2010 that was posted on Kingdom Hearts 3D's KHwiki page. For the longest time I couldn't remember where I'd seen it, but I recently found it again and feel it's relevant to the theories on Verum Rex's connection to Versus XIII (just as something to take into consideration):
Tetsuya Nomura: *"Since it's different than the Final Fantasy series which is founded on party play, the way the characters level up is different.
Sad Part : We will not see dopped, cool and badass Noctis even if KH4 adopt FF13 versus story.
Yozora’s very name sounds basically like“Night Sora” in Japanese . Night Sora/ Noctis. I’m a believer.
Let's be real here guys, most of us aren't healed up yet the fact that Versus XIII didn't came into fruition, but this brings us hope of what Nomura's potential next project might be.
It always make me frustrated that we could have gotten such an epic love story with Noctis and Stella in Versus X-III but nope, they had to rid it all
While Nomura is at it, can he incorporate Ace from the secret ending of Type 0? That shit would be amazing.
Thank you so much for this video! You took what I was thinking and put it into actual words. Great job explaining everything. Awesome job as always and looking forward to your next video!
Boy that's a LOT of salt from Nomura
Nomura: ha ha foolish friends I tried them into thinking it's a verum rex trailer when it really is brining back versus 13
Verum Rex is like a video game diss track.
Well the girl's name could be Hoshi, if her name was going to be Stella, then it would be fitting to have the Japanese word for star, I place of the Latin word.
I also hope, that this does become a new IP, but has some connections to Kingdom Hearts.
Or maybe 'Sei', the other way of reading the kanji for Star. Well, but Nomura isn't good at making name so....
Somehow I’m feeling really excited.
Hey you!
The Night Sky Prince ahhh I’ve been noticed by NSP ♡
The boundaries between the real world and the gaming worlds are getting thinner and thinner
How's this for a theory?
Stella ended up meeting Dorgann who was a Warrior of Light, and they ended up having Bartz Klauser!
It’s obviously her Sora even says “that girl she told me about you”
Well at the end the driver did call him Not which is short for Noctis.
It was Commander.
Yozora mean Night Sky in japanese and in Latin is Noctis mean Night then Stella name mean Star so that mean will they use Japanese name for Stella, Hoshi=Star or maybe new name
Sorry for my English
That's along the lines I'm thinking of.
