- Here is a quick compilation of the top 5 most memorable, dramatic, and talked about disc golf sudden death playoff scenarios in the recent years of disc golf that were captured on film. (US MPO only) There were several more but we will save those for a later date. :)) I made all the shots as short and sweet as possible for you guys, enjoy.

Hurts to see such a horror show in the putting green for nate. He's usually so solid.
The worst part was that Sexton had a dead center spit out during the round, if he hadn't had that he would have just won outright, no playoff required.

It’s karma for talking down the course
Calvin vs. Adam was my personal favourite. That final hole is such a nightmare.
I was there with my 29 year old son that got me into disc golf. Adam was hitting all kinds of long putts that last round.
It was kinda cool that most of the top professionals walked in the gallery with us for the last few holes and the playoff.
It started raining about 10 minutes after they finished.
Calvin is rude for playing that well to catch and then beat Adam xD

Heimburg vs Hammes had that electric feel to it. Best one forsure.

I was there as crowd control for Rick vs Paul at Worlds in 2014. The gallery was massive, electric and humongous. Great golf was played that day. Sad someone had to lose.
I also love that #5 and #1 are both at Blue Lake DGC.

Wow, I've watch 2014 Rick vs Paul a couple times now, just epic, the crowd response and ending with the King of the Hill.
8:09 is so hard to watch. that miss hurts even in a casual round with buddies let alone for a sudden death tournament win. EDIT: had to come back and say 9:30 are you serious ?? the pain doesn't stop

I can see that lots of people (including you I believe?) don't read the description, which is quite sad, but also pictures today's world quite well. And there is no reason for saying sorry. As said, I'm not in any way taking anything off from that tremendous battle. I personally would easily put that before all these five playoffs, if I had to make a list.
This is just a compilation video made by someone and he decided to make a line somewhere. And this is just his top 5. I think this is not something that should be seen as a "disrespect" for older champs.

That what you sais is _exactly_ what I mean when saying that about the world. People only read big headlines and forget the rest. That is why also youtube titles are short and made most interesting. I mean for example this video would not be that interesting if the title would be ”5 random disc golf playoffs”, wouldn’t it? At least this video has the description informing the limitation.
And that’s what youtube is. I don’t think the author is anyhow claiming this to be educating? And once again, this is just someones own list. Somebody could make similar list for all the playoffs in the history and still would put the battles in different order than you would do. Simon does his own ”top 32 disc golfers” lists and they are also his opinion, not based on facts. Unless something is really 100% measurable, these kind of top lists are always misinformative, that is just a plain fact.

I hope you got something positive learning experience out from this, but regarding that last chapter, I’m not holding my breath. Have a nice weekend anyhow, and remember again, this is just a random UA-cam channel, not any official disc golf page. Think about that for a while before anything else.

Love Ricky vs Paul. I felt the whole time Ricky was going to win. Paul was just a beast and Ricky made one mistake and that was it. And I wish they used the view where you could see Schusterick say "WOW" at 10:58
Wow, that Sexton vs Ricky duel was awesome! All things equal, I thought better than the #1, but being for World's, I get it.
In 2016 I played in the Glass Blown Open in intermediate. My 3 friends came from Madison, Wi to play. After 3 rounds I came back from the chase card to win it outright, until I realized I didn't add up my score correctly. 3 Stroke penalty. Which brought me to a tie and sudden death, with my best friend who came with me haha. I won the sudden death and my biggest tournament. Biggest nerves ever. We got 1st and 2nd place in the same car on the way home. Pretty fun experience.

@@gigakubica5031 that may have been a 2 hole playoff, but the last few holes leading up to that playoff were absolutely insane! Also b/c Paul pretty much said Ricky chokes in pressure situations and Paul ended up eating his words.

Must have been before this guy's time. 2003 USDGC is easily the greatest sudden death playoff. 10 playoff holes; 19 birdies and a par. This stuff is great, but they ain't that.
