Queen bassist John Deacon (Queens secret weapon since he wrote so many hits)agrees with you. This was his favorite song to perform. All four members wrote number one hits. Only band that’s true of. Try Hyde park 1976 You take my breath away. Just Freddie and the piano singing like an angel. 😮mind blowing. Queen are all geniuses. They considered themselves professional musical artists. They saved the partying for after the show. 16 albums and 188 songs plus Freddie’s own rock & also an opera album. There are so many fantastic songs for you to discover.
This performance shows you exactly why Queen are the dogs bollocks!!! The way Roger absolutely killed it at the start on the drums. The fella's on the guitars Brian and Deacon working those guitars like a Boss! And of course Freddie doing his thing and owning that stage like only he can! Freddie is the best frontman of all time in my view. But he's also generous at times he steps aside slightly and let's his buddies work those instruments like God's.This song is a good example of that. Queen. A God of Music.
This was John Deacons favourite song. Did you notice Brian’s broke a string and he had to quickly swap his guitar leaving. JD a rare opportunity to play a solo bass section. Which you can here on the studio version.
Did you catch that Brian May (Lead Guitar) broke a string right before his guitar solo and the whole band covered for him flawlessly while he switched to his backup guitar? Brian started the song using his Red Special (called that because of its reddish stain) and the backup guitar is blondish color.
Loved Roger’s drumming on this & John’s bass. You could see them both see them watching Freddie for cues...and, you got to see “flexible” Freddie 😂 Queen did all different genres over the years. You’ll live “Cool Cat” (studio version) 😍

Dude, you hit my 2 all time favorite bands. Led for the head and Queen is the dream. I'm getting old now, but I grew up with these guys and music today, doesn't have the heart, soul, or talent they had. Everything now is automated and auto tuned. That's what's missing today, the emotional side of music and the talent and story telling.
React to queen "save me", live in Montreal 1981. Also, "who wants to live forever" live at Wembley 1986, "love of my life" live at Wembley 1986, "white queen" live at the Odeon-Hammersmith 1975. This is just a few of many many great songs by queen. Your in for a great ride thru Queens songs. You Will enjoy every one of them.
Did you notice Brian broke a string and had to change guitars mid song? I didn’t mind because that must be the best bass riff ever, and it meant we got Deacy doing a solo. In my humble opinion though, the Montreal performance of this song is even better if you can believe it. It’s one of my favourites. My all time favourite is White Queen live at the Odeon Hammersmith 1975. I’d love you to check it out
I couldn't disagree more on the Montreal version. In this one Freddie has more sustained notes, we get the unplanned John Deacon solo (when Brian had to switch guitars after string broke), and of course the lyrics got screwed up and the song just ended so abruptly in Montreal. (Save Me is also far superior at Milton Keynes over Montreal. IMO.)
The 1982 Milton Keynes "Fire At The Bowl" is my all-time FAVORITE Queen concert💕 Freddie's voice was MAGNIFICENT that night/in the best singing voice of any Queen concerts available on video.💕 4:53 is where Brian May's guitar string broke and he had to go switch guitars😄(He had a replica "Red Special" as a back-up)🖖

Great performance! Check out “BRIGHTON ROCK” live!! Another great song is “BIJOU” .... magnificent! Just subscribed!!

Also great songs to react to are save me live montreal, I want it all (i bet you have heard it in commercials), I want to break free, killer queen, fat bottom girls, we are the champions, good old fashion lover boy, its a hard life, keep yourself alive. There are so many more too. The song "you're my best friend", you've probably heard parts of in movies, not a lot of people react to it but used in parts a lot in movies and commercials.

Awesome reaction! This is a very funky song! Queen has just under 200 songs, and 64 of those songs made it onto the charts, they have a massive catalog, you have only seen a very small portion of what they were able to do. There are a lot of genres and styles that you have not yet seen from Queen! Queen has been voted as the best live band of all time by musical insiders. You have not reacted to Queen at Live Aid yet, it has been voted as the best live TV performance of all time, by musical insiders. Queen - Live Aid - ua-cam.com/video/ngf1KF2_kPI/v-deo.html. Queen is the second best selling band of all time behind The Beatles, and the 4th best selling artists of all time. I think most people would generally vote for Queen or Led Zeppelin as the best live bands. When you are at that level it does not make a huge difference, it is usually more about personal preference. Led Zeppelin were truly exceptional in their early days, from 1968 - 1973. From there on they started to encounter your typical rock star problems, Robert Plant's voice changed and his range became smaller. Jimmy Page was addicted to heroine and John Bonham drank a lot. Their live performances started to suffer around 1973, that being said they were still at a very high level. They basically just toured around in America where they were treated like gods, so it was easy for their lifestyle to get out of hand. Queen also liked to party at times, but they never really partied as hard as most other rock bands. Queen had amazing consistency for 20 years. Queen and Elvis are the only two artists who have been able to remain in the top 5 best sellers list for 2 decades. Generally Queen's shows improved over time. They were on top of the world doing the biggest sellout stadium tours as 40 year old's in 1986. It was only Freddie's sickness that really stopped them. Freddie's voice also changed a lot over time, but his voice just became more powerful as the years past by. He sang some of his highest songs months before his death. A big reason why Freddie is usually rated as the best vocalist, is because he could manage all of the different genres and styles in a convincing fashion. And he also recorded a whole classical album with one of the best opera soprano divas of all time. He managed to hold his own against her, and even recorded some opera. Generally opera is seen as the most difficult genre for a vocalist. Freddie could somehow manage all of these styles seamlessly. The whole album he recorded was not just opera, one of their songs was actually the theme song of the 1992 Olympic games, It is really something very different and something to check out, Barcelona - Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe ua-cam.com/video/hkskujG0UYc/v-deo.html. Freddie was the first contemporary artist that collaborated with an opera singer. Led Zeppelin inspired loads of other bands, most rock bands still wants to be and sound like Led Zeppelin. But Queen were a far more diverse group, they did many other different styles and genres. That can be seen as either an advantage or disadvantage. It you don't like many different genres of music, then it is a disadvantage, the press were often against Queen because they believed that the band should pick one lane and stick to it. Some of the Queen's rock fan did like it when they did pop or funky dance music. Because Queen did so many different genres, they inspired many different types of artists. They inspired anything from Michael Jackson and Lil Wayne to thrash metal artists such as Metallica or progressive metal artist such as Dream Theater.
