Why I’m asking is, I also a Silverado 2500, and at the bottom of the receiver just behind the “lip” of the end of the receiver is the baseplate of the chain holder leaving appr. 1/8” gap between it and the lip of the receiver.
Yeah the whole bolt doesn’t make contact with the bottom of the receiver because of that but I haven’t had any issues with it at all wanting to come loose, just tighten the main bolt good and tight then tighten the jam nut and all has been good
