Also this is clearly not a professional vet clinic or doct because they don't just given them a shot for diarrhea it's called IV fluids and a blood test should be taken proper step should have been made also take into consideration there was no proper sanitation there as well this is nothing but a dog and cat Pet place not a true vet clinic. Mom and Dad have been soooooo good, loving, caring, and thoughtful with KoKo and YoKo. I’ve been following KoKo ever since Mom rescued him. He has been through so much in his life as a tiny baby boy and Mom and Dad have been there every step of the way. I am so happy for KoKo and YoKo both and VERY GRATEFUL to Mom and Dad for being very kind and have made KoKo a King in their hearts and his heart as well. All I saw was what looked like a garden center and some lady has a needle behind her back and gives him shot. If that is Koko's doctor I be getting another doctor. Check first then shot if needed.

@@cyndiduvall5095 At least they love him and greatly care for him. I don’t think that was the vet. She was a tech. The vet says what he needs and if they are busy, I see the tech giving them their vaccines. KoKo has a a hard life of pain, suffering, and possibly witnessed his biological mother be murdered. A rough start wouldn’t you say? Monkeys need to be vaccinated just as cats, dogs, horses, etc….. against rabies, parvovirus, and distemper vaccines. Monkeys are no different when it comes to the nitty gritty.
Just because the animal has a handicap it shouldn’t be spoiled

Is this a legitimate vet tech? Who are you trying to kid...you or me? No licensed vet tech would hand a syringeful of anything to the patient's owner. If anything went wrong, she'd lose her license. If you watch her face, you'll see that she cringes when the monkey starts to scream. She's a market owner, and nothing more. But, of course, you know that. You people are unbelievable.

Макаку надо наказывать максимально жестко только что бы не нарушать законодательство регулирующее отношение этой вещи, в конкретном государстве где териториально происходят эти отношения.
Макака должна быть полностью покорна, и быть послушной. А что бы отношения были безопасны надо воспитать так что бы она ощющала себя низшей ранговой, и отсуствовали амбиции хоть на какую либо власть, и без клыков и острых частей зубов. Так же надо что бы она была на привязи, если ее действия выдут из под контроля можно резко взятся за поводок и угомонить ее пыл.

Yeah, I don't know what could be in that shot? Mom probably has dealt with diarrhea in the past with the kids. Fluid replacement is the main thing needed.

It was probably an antibiotic of some sort to help fight off whatever might be in his system just to be on the safe side. We all know if u get a antibiotic in shot form then it’s most likely a very strong antibiotic. If that was what the shot was then Koko is going to be very sore where they gave him the shot especially if it was penicillin. That crap hurts after a while.

I'm wondering about the shot, too? An antibiotic would be unlikely. I doubt monkeys need treatment much different from humans. An opioid, like Lomotil, would slow down the gut. Mainly he needs fluid.

Poor thing was sick and had to cling to her on the back of a motorcycle. It seems to have improved so maybe they drugged it to look like it was sick.

To Koko's mom make sure Koko's food is always clean. Wash with water any fruits or veggies you give him. His water should be clean too. Have him tested for any parasites.
Everything he eat is clean,- maby too clean!! Maby He get paracits because He don't have to much bacteries in the stomac,as a wild monkey that eat a lot of shit from the ground,and never wash their fruits,vegetables,berrys or leaves they found.

This is not a doctor or a veterinarian. If this was a real vet or a real doctor this person would be fine charged and sent to jail for treating a monkey that is illegal to have in that country. You people that continue to support this woman are just hurting that monkeys cause. It needs to be in a sanctuary where it can be taken care of and treated better. Who knows what this vet or whatever she is did to the monkey or what she gave it. This woman has you believing that she's taking care of this monkey and she's not it's all about money money money. This monkey will be dead soon trust me and she'll have no money coming in at all.

I have been watching KoKo since he was a baby too when he had the necrotic leg and mom healing him and treating him top of the line and dad too treat KoKo so great too!! He loves riding bike with his human brother, sister, and mother. He loves his little brother YoKo too and seems like protect and comfort when napping together with his arm over YoKo. I.can’t believe how fast they both have grown so much!! I am still in shocked at how much they have grown!! It’s awesome to watch KoKo, YoKo, Mom, Dad, and all siblings as great family forever!! I think it was a very strong antibiotic; possibly penicillin. Which means he’s also going to be sore & hurting in the spot where he got the shot later on.

Okay, so what will happen to Koko when he reaches puberty (3-4 y/o?) and he becomes aggressive and dangerous, as these primates often do?? What then?? You can't turn him out into the wild and expect him to be able to live and function like a normal "wild" monkey. He's cute now, but what happens when he finally bites someone or mauls a human child?? These animals can be extremely dangerous and I'm just wondering what will happen to this animal when he matures??

Even the most legit veterinarian in Southeast Asia, as far as I can tell, looks like the loading dock of a hardware store.
Usually it is a pet store....they sometime do vet services as much as they can. Don't quote me this is only what I was led to believe.
Vietnam and surrounding countries are still recovering from the war and rebuilding the old buildings that were bombed out. It's been 60 yrs but that isn't very long for war torn cities and small villages

I meant it's not very encouraging, when the only Macaque channel that seems to go to a semi-legit veterinarian, is still going someplace where your animal is treated on a counter that seemingly opens right onto the street, surrounded by piles of products and sometimes shouting pedestrians.
It is nerve-wracking to me.
( * i wish the USSR had rebuilt and invested in Vietnam in the way the US helped rebuilt and invested in say, South Korea. USSR seems to have mainly given them food, oil, and weapons, but a lot of the damage went unrepaired afterwards...

But if ant super power and really wins a proxy war, it's important to use the peace time afterwards to build back at least as good as before, and better if it is a developing nation.

I agree . I was a young adult during the war. My late husband was a Vietnam vet. I co facilitated a womens therapy group and worked crisis lines at an organization for Vietnam vets in Sacramento California back in late 70's early 80's. California became the first government body to officially recognize Vietnam vets. Up until then they were deemed drug addicts ,baby killers and all kinds of bad things. It was a terrible war for nothing as we turned it over to USSR anyway. Some monkey owners do take the babies, especially badly injured) to legit vets in the big city . And to legit animal hospitals. But your right about store fronts in crumbling buildings with tin roofs and crumbling walls. Some are decent but some are like "barber shop" joints. not very professional so got to wonder if the vet is really a vet
