This was so honest that I was amazed. Televangelists NEVER tell the truth the way you did. I'm still struggling to find the path to Christian ministry and to see other dreams come true. One day, I hope God will open the door for me to speak with the same conviction.

Wow I can’t believe that “Anything” didn’t sell well. I LOVED THAT BOOK!! I tell everyone about it! Then again, I had a very similar experience regarding being SOLD OUT for Jesus right off the bat… and it was so weird to be around others that weren’t that way. Anyways - I just wanted to say that’s probably my favorite book of all time!

can someone please help me understand how this doesn't violate 1 Timothy 2:12, I ask this question because maybe there is something about this verse I have yet to understand so please be gracious with me. As I am just trying to learn more about Yaweh. Thanks y'all

I think because it’s a young adult ministry and not an entire church and she’s technically not a pastor, it technically doesn’t violate that. Women are typically leaders of college-aged, high school, middle school and younger children ministries due to their abilities to be hospitable, nurturing and caring to younger people. This message was only spoken to their young adults

She’s speaking to a group of Adults like a preacher in such a way that seems exegetical. I would say they are pretty much ignoring that verse. They didn’t go into much detail on why they decided to do this. There is no way around the fact that she is practically giving a sermon.

all the letters in the bible need to be read in the context of that time. and in that time a lot of people rejected christianity because all other religions of that time said that women should not teach, so people left the church because in christian sermons women preached. And then Paul decided to write that to stop people from leaving the church because he thinks that all people go to church is more important than preaching women. This is the most common explanation of that verse now a day as far is i'm concerned. Finally:I wish you all the best get to know Yaweh better brother, it's the best thing to do on this earth

    4. Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.. (I believe means will place His desires.. His desires will become yours…because our hearts are evil)
    5. Commit thy ways unto Him and trust also IN Him and He will bring them to pass!!! Psalm 37:4-5

If you are doing what God forbids,
"Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
    Point blank period....

I’m disappointed that The Porch is allowing a woman to practically give a sermon. The reasoning given in the beginning doesn’t explain why this is ok or how it is not unbiblical.
I disagree with this event and I have lost some faith in you guys for it.

Well if we are going biblically speaking Sunday school shouldn’t exist nor should any ministry for youths or young adults because it segregates them. Most women lead Sunday school not men. Plus when Paul wrote that letter Timothy it was in reference to them having issues with people gossiping at church. Which still is prevalent in this day and age.

      @@badbonezthlegnd2049source for the latter statement??
There’s a difference between women leading nursery or elementary aged kids and women *preaching* to grown adult men, in a church context, with a form of corporate worship going on and stuff. She is disobedient to Scripture and we need to stop making excuses for her.

@@badbonezthlegnd2049 I'm not sure I can make sense of your first point, and I don't think your second point is considering what the text says. The text is inspired by God, not Man. There are roles for Men and Women, and there are roles in the Church. All were put in place by God.

@@tobiaswall8705Roman’s 16 is the best starting place for talking about women leading in church, but my main point was if we wanted to go and say women should be silent, seen but not heard from in the church. These programs that take place in church during church shouldn’t exist. As they are not actually in the bible at all. I’m not trying to throw shade at anyone I’m just saying in general if women shouldn’t teach why is it okay for them to run other ministries?

“This verse, I hate it. I don’t even know what it means”
That is exactly why you need to get off the pulpit and let a man who has reverence for Gods word preach it, lady.

Is this a fine line? A good excuse to do something that maybe you shouldn’t 🫣🤔 I’m just asking. I LOVE the messages I’ve heard from the men at this church.. I’m uncomfortable hearing a woman teach men in the church and there’s a reason. I would call what happens at the porch, normally- preaching. Ugh. My young adult daughter goes to this church- I live in SoCal.. I don’t want her to think fudging the line is ok just cuz it’s presented different.
Please consider… a young man goes home and tells his father he heard a powerful message from this woman whom now his father wants to hear from… now what. God has His reasons and they aren’t gray.. there is no middle ground. Teaching is teaching. Let’s not tweak our words to make what we want fit into His Word🙏🏼♥️ please.. you are the place where my daughter learns and grows and has grown so much.. don’t confuse these young adults… because what lines will they blurr in order to make them fit in Gods Word
This message was quite powerful otherwise. Don’t under estimate the power of women hearing from a woman and taking it to their home… I’ve been an example to my husband of Christ’s love and forgiveness for over 3 decades now… Gods ways are not ours ♥️ thank you for all you do and please consider
