I've turned a few people into fans over the last 20 years and more than a few have asked me "who is this" when a Dax or a Deadboy or Acid Bath song comes on. Fucking dude is just great. I make everyone listen to him. Friends, neighbors, people in line at a stop light, people with their windows open,...
I was lucky enough to run into a dude that introduced me to agents of oblivion which lead me to deadboy. My dogs name Daxx because of him. He has one of the most incredible voices and is a masterful songwriter. He will always be my favorite singer. Truly unique
He definitely deserves more recognition, but I doubt he wants fame. He's amazing where he's at, just a dude who makes very good music, that inspires us, and keeps us standing up.
Agreed Layne and dax are two of the best singers to ever live. I first heard dax when I was like 5 when my uncle would put acid bath on the cd player for me. I used to beg to listen to him all the time and love all his music to this day
Chris Cornell has to be 1C then. Hell let's throw in Rob Halford and Freddy Mercury as 1D and 1E in whatever order, that pretty much covers the entire spectrum of rock singing
Having been a fan of Dax Riggs for a good few years this is my first time hearing this track and I absolutley love it. Thank you so much for sharing this. I truly appreciate it

Still my favorite Deadboy lineup hands down. My friends and I used to go see them anytime they played in Lafayette. Their Grant Street Dancehall performances were god tier. Case in point on display here. I'm pretty sure I was at this show if it was Grant Street. And its a damn shame this lineup never put out an album. All the material was killer.

best singer the main stream hasn't heard of. But thankfully i was originally introduced to Acid Bath back in like the year 2000 through a Dragonball Z fan made music video. LOL. I wish Dax Riggs would make new music.

Before Acid Bath he had Golgotha, afterwards he had many bands, such as Agents of Oblivion, Deadboy and the Elephantmen, and Daisyhead & The Mooncrickets. Best singer and songwriter in my opinion.
I know I'm 10 months late to reply, He came to Kansas City when I was in University... With his solo tour... I told a friend he had to come to this hole in the wall bar with me to see him. My friend was a real Jerk about everything... Dax walked in and my friend starts shouting "DAX RIGGATONI!!!" I told my friend to stop or we'd get thrown out... Dax got on stage... My friend and everyone in their were in awe once the music started... For what that's worth, some small hole in the wall bar in Kansas City over 12 years ago that prolly doesn't even exist anymore, everyone was in shock and you could only hear Dax's music. Dax stumbled off stage and the audience begged for an encore... I walked to the hall way side stage where him and the drummer were leaning against the walls... Dax looked at his drummer and they both were cackling like kids, and his drummer goes "We can even walk bro how we gonna do this!", the bartender had been feeding them drink after drink all night unfortunately :( , I stuck my hand out... The drummer smirked and said "Here goes nothin! Thanks man!" I helped the drummer back to his kit. They played two more songs and killed and then sat down on the stage and the place slowly emptied out. My friend looked at me and said "DUDE! I FEEL LIKE A JERK! HOLY CRAP! THATS THE BEST BAND IVE SEEN! WHO WAS THAT GUY AGAIN?!?! SIR WHATS YOUR NAME!? WHO ARE YOU? THERES NO WAY YOU ARE JUST SOME SMALL TIME MUSICIAN!" Dax was slumped over on the stage leaning against his amp exhausted trying to breathe. Thats the thing, I'll never forget that show as long as I live... Probably everyone else that was there won't either.
I had heard just the audio of this a couple years ago, and was blown away. It helped fill my lack of new Dax for a bit. Nice to see a full video of it.
My ex boyfriend introduced me to them many years ago. He had a smile on his face because he knew i would fall in love. I still feel the same every time I hear his voice, like my soul is warm and my heart is melting, like i could die happy. He has the voice of an angel. He puts everything he has into everything he does and we are lucky we live in this time.
Whoever got the soundboard recording of this and mastered it (kinda..lol) & put it up on YT is a hero. You miss a lot of lovely parts in this video. This is indeed Dax's best live performance!
So annoying that dax disappeared. I found acid bath when I was 18 and listened to their albums while I delivered pizza for little Caesars back in 2000. Been listening to dax since. Saw him in 06 and 07.
I don't understand. why is this song not on the official album or other live recordings? This is obviously not a passable song, it is a hit. Or is this a cover?
