the real Donny was 5'4 from Boston, with dark brown short hair that was slicked back and an athletic frame. in the movie, Donny is 5'10 from New Jersey, with light brown hair and long bangs, with a more slender frame. they got most other things right about the character though
I don’t see that ad an issue. Tommy DeSimone was over 6’ and in Goodfellas played by Joe Pesci. Not really a big deal. It was a vehicle for Renfro. Though I think the movie hints that they moved a few times, just didn’t say Boston, they didn’t really need to. If it was a biopic about him, maybe, but it’s more about the crime and events surrounding it, so not super important. But thank you
@@BloodGuyReviews like I said they got most other things right about the Donny character. he was 17, living in Palm Bay with his mother, high school drop out, addict and dating Ali at the time. the portrayal of him was accurate overall but a few minor things were incorrect.
Is it a detriment? As long as the rest is as accurate as possible, they can get almost whatever actor. Unless you’re just sharing information and letting me know you know, which is interesting, idr if I mention those differences in the video
Cool review! I've also heard of this movie as well. Can I recommend a movie named Mean Creek. It's from 2004 and stars Rory Culkin and Josh Peck from that really shitty ATM movie. It's not based on a real true-crime case. It feels like Bully in many ways, there's a group of kids, a bully, a murder, then the aftermath of the kids. Check it out if you haven't! It's really good!
Bully is one of the most realistic and powerful films I’ve ever seen. This is the only non horror film that actually got me and truly disturbed me lol. Nick Stahl’s murder scene is probably the most realistic death I’ve ever seen in film. I’m not usually bothered by death scenes in movies, but his murder scene in this film was hard to watch and made me flinch. And I don’t even like Larry Clark. I don’t like Kids and I honestly think the guy is a sketchy asshole. The only Larry Clark film I genuinely like is Wassup Rockers. But I have to give him credit for his direction of Bully. He got most out of his actors because I think the acting in this film is quite amazing. At the end of the day, it’s weird for me to say that I’m a fan of Bully because I don’t really want to watch it ever again, but I respect the film. This film really opens your eyes to how messed up the world is and how bad people can be. Great job on the review.
You don’t have to watch a film over and over to be a fan. I would put other films over it, for being non-horror but powerful and realistic, getting to me more and more shocking, but I really did feel the power of this film
Remember watching this when I was 13 late at night I still watch this movie occasionally still a litte creepy to watch always been a fan of Brad Renfro

Bully was a GOOD movie..But!!..I never knew it was based on Real life events??..Great Review my friend!! 😎👍
It’s a very interesting story if you ever read about it! Thank you for watching 🤘🏻
Great review dude. Really like your true crime based reviews.🤟🔥
Thank you 🤘🏻
This is the first time I’ve heard of the movie and the actual crime event! Sounds really interesting, I’ll check this out ASAP.
It's Good But Twisted.
And a true story. Bar far not the most twisted, but good
I Think Bobby Was Gay And He Hated It So He Abused. His Buddy And Friends.
Or he was just a manipulative sociopath
@@BloodGuyReviews A gay sociopath
I don’t think he was gay. No don’t mention the videos he made of men, he had ulterior motives
He didn’t, and the gay porn was later used for blackmail against the people in it

I saw it back around the time it came out. I remember liking it, not really something I’d review on here, but it was decent
