    According to the State of Division if Calcium carbonate in Q2 of the tutorial 1:14:00

    Anyway guys when you come across a question asking you to calculate the rate, just treat the term rate as a term gradient. No matter how they twist the question the rate will always be ∆Y/∆x.

    Evening Mr Nkosi, Very illuminating lesson thank you, a bit of clarity the definition of a catalyst and a positive catalyst from listening to you to me they sound the same, also the definition that you provide for a negative catalyst conflicts the definition you provided of a catalyst, I'm a bit lost in that regard.

    • @MlungisiNkosi
      @MlungisiNkosi  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for the feedback. Apologies for the confusion. I probably made the classic error of assuming every catalyst is a positive catalyst. It's honestly unintended...
      A catalyst either speeds up or slows down the rate of a reaction by either lowering (in the case of positive) or increasing (in the case of an inhibitor) the activation energy needed.
      A positive catalyst ONLY speeds up the reaction rate.
      An inhibitor ONLY slows down the reaction rate.

      If the rate is measured in seconds. But there are instances when they use minutes as well
