It's actually kinda ironic (or should I say karmic) how the Jojo Siwa version of Karma did a Phoenix and rose Brit Smith's version out of the ashes. Which is probably the only good thing to come out of the former.

Brit Smith, this is her version of Jojo’s song Karma and this would’ve been released around 2012-2013 if her production team didn’t cut it from her. She doesn’t really have lots of music since she left the music industry after the release of her song, Provocative, but she’s released Karma’s A Bitch since it has gotten talked about surrounding Jojo’s song. Her voice is truly mature and this song is such a club vibe! I hope she releases more music after this

Many artists who bought the songs do not change the lyrics unless they are switching pronouns or removing a few words. Sure, Jojo replaced messed with effed, but she also added another chorus at the end.
