    How this band didn’t make it more is beyond me. They had the magic. So much more than almost any band I can think of

      @flat1in3 8 місяців тому +4

      A helluva lot more magic than Wilco... and I like Wilco. That said, I still LOVE Son Volt, thirty years later.
      Uncle Tupelo's "No Depression" was a goddamn gem, but I think "Trace" is even better. Granted, I know that record back to front, every note, without trying.

      @@flat1in3 agreed. I love the first few Wilco records for sure but…. Also the UT records are awesome. Anodyne and No Depression are absolute gems. For sure.

    I’m listening to these guys now in the tail end of 2022 and they are still one of my favourite bands ever. I love Tear Stained Eye and honestly listen to it on a collection of songs that I downloaded about ten years ago every single night for perhaps twenty years now to keep my tinnitus from driving me insane.The band and their music has definitely kept me from going more crazy than I deserve to be so thanks!!

    CNN's Anderson Cooper brought me here. He just played a tribute to his friend and colleague Faith Kleppinger (1971-2021) a writer for CNN, whom died of cancer. In the bit he described how she and a friend would text one another about song lyrics. They texted about this song, Faith described the lyrics as "devastating". Then the song played at the end as a photo tribute rolled on with Faith and the people in her life. I Googled the song and here I am..Wow, what a nice pleasant song, thank you Faith & Anderson! R.I.P Faith...

She had just barely turned 50 before she died of appendix cancer. SAD! Condolences to her friends & FAMILY. May you RIP Ms. Kleppinger 1:04 pm 6-18-21
