Shankara Pallavi | Odissi Dance

This is a pure dance item in which various dance sequences are put together and woven into a pattern where there is a beautiful blend of music, rhythm and dance. The beauty and technique of the Odissi style gradually unfolds like a bud blossoms into a flower.
This is the non interpretative part of dance which is called nritta, where there is no meaning or interpretation of any text or poem. The purpose of this is pure aesthetic joy.
