This is the reason why Broadway (or the theatre in general) is more Progressive and ahead of its time compared to Hollywood or the film industry in general.
I was lucky enough to be 5th row center for this show. Was it at the Ethel Barrymore? My faves were "The Oldest Profession," "Use What You Got" "You Can't Get To Heaven" and "The Hooker's Ball" Cy Coleman was amazing
I surprised my best friend with tickets to this 1997 production -- and we had the time of our lives. I loved her so much. So I always love to hear this music and remember her laughing and cheering.
I always wondered why they had Lillias start off the song at the Tony's when she doesn't in the show. If anything they should have let Pamela do it. That's the one thing the London production got right, all the girls shared a solo.

Soon Hollywood will be the same as Broadway; more progressive and ahead of its time.
They need to revive this terrific musical!!
currently on in London! Incredibly well staged!
Good to hear! Such a great musical. Hope it comes to NYC...

Scott A - you are right! PLEASE someone REVIVE THIS SHoW (and cast me in it...bitteschön, lol) This was my favorite musical growing up.
haha this clip so damn funny. "I know who I am, if you have a problem....I don't give a damn!". Haha, I love that line!

Now this is what you call show stopper at the TONY Awards.. My only problem is the choreography. ugh
It's set in the 80's so I think the choreography was intentionally retro.
omg the choreography so bad. wth?!
I wish my school could do this but I don’t think they would let it happen sadly
