You know Bastion is a new level of evil when even Dr. Doom says "That's too much." Also, that Spiderman cameo was insane, and so was Wolverine and Nightcrawler's team up.

Remember that black issue of The Amazing Spider-Man where the heroes come forward to help out during 9/11? Doom shed a tear, and readers complained that it was out of character for him to do that.
Well, Doctor Doom isn’t evil. He’s an actual visionary with an ego. Except, his vision doesn’t involve eradicating the lives of innocents, he actually wants a utopia where all can coexist. The only thing is, he’ll kill anyone who gets in his way.
Doctor Doom is actually much more well intended than you would expect. He's just... Very utilitarian in his means towards his vision

it takes growing up to hate mutants, to know that in 100 years mutants will outnumber humans 10 to one, and not to think "Oh, my grandchildren will have cool superpowers", but to think that you are in danger.

Magneto just went back to being a villain and declared war on humanity. That EMP blast he created didn't just shut down the Prime Sentinels it should down every electronic on earth. So every hospital In the world shutdown and everyone on life support died along with everyone who needs a pacemaker to live. Also every plane flying through the air shutdown and fell from the sky killing more people.

"Collateral damage" like this will be seen by some as just an expected outcome of the war that, according to mutants like Magneto, the other side already started with their mass-murdering strike into the heart of the mutant nation.

Speedsters being time travelers isn't a universal speedster power, it's a DC-universe specific explanation of how "fast" characters would "actually work". Their answer was the speed force, another fundamental of the universe like time and gravity
There's a recent Quicksilver comic that showed Pierto unlocking his mental barrier to be able to travel multiple dimensions.
Mystique comes to regert her descion but she is a shapeshifter who had to live her whole life hiding who she was and this was before she joined the mutant resitance and embraced her self so then having a child from birth who would expose her was the worst thing imaginable to her

That Wolverine and Nightcrawler scene was one of the best action scenes ive seen recently.

From Age of Ultron the movie? Which part? I mean, Ultron's motivation was the same as Master Mold, who wanted to eliminate humans since he sees them as the same beings as mutants. Bastion wanted to enslave the mutants and make them work for the humans, according to Cable's history lesson. If you're talking about Age of Ultron the comic book event, then I can see some common threads, what with the army of Ultrons from the future killing everyone and Wolverine & Sue Storm traveling to the past to kill the creator of Ultron, Hank Pym, and stop all of this from occuring in the first place.
You know what funny Ultron can easily take out Bastion. That is how powerful Ultron is.😅

Whenever they show Nightcrawlers pov of his teleporting it’s always a treat, that few seconds of it was one of my favorite parts of x men apocalypse
Fun fact Bastion's parents are side characters in 90s Xmen s4 ep 9 "One mans worth. Bishop travels back in time to save young charles xavier but Nimrod sentinel follows. In a bar bishop is talking to charles and people start being racist towards charles, bishop shard, stom and wolverine. One of those girls looks like Bastion's mom. A janitor and few people attack them. That janitor is bastions dad. Nimrod is damaged but can regenerate. I suppose those parts inflected bastions dad. Which shows in this xmen 97 episode. It was never was a thing back then but its a neat way to tie in something with source material
I like some of the qutoes in this show are heavy and impactful. Including Nightcrawler, Beast, and Magneto. Reminds me of some lines from the Avatar The Last Airbender. Like from Iroh.

After watching this episode, Bastion has quickly become one of my favourite X-Men villains. Bastion is such a great villain so far in this show, and his plan is genius yet horrific to think about. Him being a mix of Nimrod & Master Mold is wild. I love how charismatic he is with his belief that mutants supposedly take away humans' chances of the future like a twisted entrepreneur, and what's even worse is that there is a level of truth and meta-commentary from his philosophy and how he manipulates blue-collar class racism and bigotry normal humans create based on their fears. Not to mention the fact that such a big part of the population are secretly Human Sentinel sleeper agents and didn't even know it is SCARY ASF! These things can also reproduce and extend the human population, making the implications even more terrifying.
That Wolverine and Nightcrawler fight scene is some of the best Western animation I have ever seen in a comic book show like GODDAMN, THE SCENE WAS PEAK! I loved seeing the first-person perspective of what it's like to teleport with Nightcrawler.
I love how much of an overprotective mom Jean was to Cable, and seeing the Summers family fighting together was cool and cute to watch. Dom Torretto would be proud
It was really surreal watching Dr Cooper become so numb to the death and misery humanity creates to make mutants suffer, ultimately coming to accept that Magneto was right about humans since Gyrich was teasing this fate in the first episode when he said, *"Tolerance is extinction"* , basically meaning summed up as whenever humans start tolerating mutants, humans believe they'll go extinct, therefore believing whenever mutants start tolerating humans, mutants need to go extinct, hence what happened in Genosha. Magneto also officially declared war on humanity after all the pain and death he witnessed and sending that EMP blast around the world, which no doubt caused hundreds of other deaths, like planes falling out of the sky, reactors losing power, and God knows what else was such a scary yet overpowered move!
BTW, THE CAMEOS IN THIS EPISODE ARE INSANE; WE GOT SPIDERMAN, OMEGA RED, DOCTOR DOOM, BARON ZEMO, SILVER SAMURAI, etc...

Yes, there are a lot of time traveling characters in the X-Men universe outside of Cable and Bishop especially in the comics. One of them even appeared in the old 90's series named Fitzroy who could drain living beings of their life-force and use that energy to create portals that could teleport those passing through them across time and space.

There's a ton of characters who can time travel in Marvel just like there are in DC. Sorcerers, tech geniuses, people just born with the power to. But to limit ourselves to X-Men there's Bishop who is in the earlier episodes of this show and is literally the reason why Cable is from the future in the first place.
Yeah, but I will applaud Marvel for not ever going with the "run/fly at super speed to break the space-time continuum" gimmick. No matter how fast Quicksilver can run, he will never end up traveling through time.

Cable is the main timeline hopper for Marvel, he, Bishop and Hope Summers (who was likely the Phoenix-powered slave in his tale, the metal user was Polaris, Magneto's daughter) all come from the same future though and they did just set the rules of fixed points in time. The Time Stone could potentially play a part but even then fixed points are overlaps, the canon events in Spider-Verse terms.
Nightcrawler being Mystique's son is quite well-known, being 'too blue' is usually not the reason for his abandonment, villagers chased them out for his appearance being demonic-looking. The plot gets mixed up but it ends with Kurt being raised in the circus. In current comics lore, Mystique was retconned to actually be Kurt's father, having been carried by her lover Destiny as she feigned pregnancy to fool Baron Christian Wagner - a Bavarian nobleman. This was changed from the demon Azazel being his father, who looks like Kurt but red and also has teleporting powers - plus he once tried to use Kurt as a portal to escape hell, I don't think they've explained how that can all happen without them being blood related anymore.
It is a 3-parter so you were wise not to wait.
The Phoenix powered slave was Rachel summers. She was with Xcalibur awhile back

I think he might have ended up being lost in time. That would definitely set up an interesting story for him in Season 2. Heck, I can imagine him accidentally traveling to the Age of Apocalypse timeline and having to spend a decade there to try and make his way back to his original timeline.
I'm sure he's eager to come back and tell Scott he lost his kid ;p

Magneto is revealed to be the real hero. Because there is one line in this episode that pissed me off most. After Magneto EMP's the Earth, Morph and Wolverine are talking, and Wolverine says that 'Magneto just declared war'. Uh, NO. Humans declared war on mutants DECADES ago. Magneto has just decided to stop humoring Xavier, and now is no longer going to hold back. Because Magneto was RIGHT all along. These disasters are as much Xavier's fault as anyone's. Because he LET IT HAPPEN.
No no no no no no.....those volunteers aren't trying to be mutants. They are the people who hate mutants, people who desire to make humanity #1.

Except Bastion's work would end up helping the human race, as we saw in Cable's history lesson. Also, Gyrich said that telepathy will not work on Bastion, so Xavier is pretty much just there for his moral compass, experience and leadership.

People with time machines can time travel. People smart enough to build time machines: Forge, Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Kang, a few others
And sometimes magic can be used for time travel. So people like Dr. Strange, Loki, etc

Hope these get a rebooted series as well. There are a few potholes with certain characters from these shows. Like in Spider-Man 90's Season 3. When Venom falling into a dimensional gate/portal with Carnage, and never knowing where he wound up.

Edit: to be clear, I don't meant necessarily of every single episode, but at least of the first season/the first handful of episodes of the first season. Hopefully more. But do what you gotta do, y'all.

Non spoilers but based on 90s xmen that can time travel: Apocalypse, Bender (aka Immortus aka Kang), Watcher, Nimrod sentinel, Bishop, Shard (bishops sister), Cable, Trevor Fitzroy.
I also sinister could, too, possibly during the Beyond good and evil arc of 90s xmen, since apocalypse was kidnaping psychics throughout space and time. One of which was Rachel summers Cyclops' daughter. So by conclusion I guess the people helping apocalypse during that time had access to time travle. That includes: sinister, magneto, mystique, Sinister's Nasty boys. Sinister was probably the only one who could have kept a time travel device as he only agreed to help apocalypse for his experiments. Like starting them and then time traveling to the future to see the result of it.
Now that you guys are finishing x man 97 you need to check out the movies, both the old trilogy and the new one couse some of them go really hard

Well, this show is supposed to be like a sequel to the original series, so she's still his mom in this. Besides, I kinda like her being the mother better (mainly because I really like Azazel).

Nightcrawler is my favorite X-character and I’m so happy we’re finally getting him done justice. So here are a this week’s fun facts!
1. For visual things, his fur is technically not blue, but black, making him blend in with the shadows in the environment. Pure black was hard to do in comics, and they had to use a highlight color to define it. Also, his teleporting with a BAMF leaves a cloud of smoke with the smell of sulfur, which I can’t believe is fun for anyone who travels with him to experience.
2. THEY GAVE HIM THE SWORDS! Nightcrawler is such a fun character to see swashbuckling around, but so many adaptations just ignore that and make him “the german religious guy”. So cool to see what he can do, bamfing around with the three blades flying all over the place. In the comics, he’s also recently gotten the ability to summon a magical sword as a physical manifestation of his hope. He genuinely is the best, most caring and optimistic of the X-Men.
3. As seen in this episode, Mystique is his mom… but also his dad! It was the plan since the character’s introduction to present Mystique and her partner Destiny, who were Rogue’s adoptive moms, as his real biological parents. But Marvel shot it down because lesbians. Then it was revealed that his dad was some sort of demon mutant, it’s dumb… but this year it’s been finally been retconned and Mystique and Destiny are established as his true parents. And they’re getting married next month, with him as the priest I believe.
Is it really dumb for Azael to be his biological father? That’s who is credited for Nightcrawler’s demon-like appearance and teleportation abilities. Though Mystique is in a same sex relationship, she’s not a lesbian, she’s bisexual.
@@rc.835 It’s really dumb because the demon-like appearance was just supposed to be an ironic twist. The religious guy who wants nothing but peace and happiness in the world, looking like one of the creatures hated by those around him is quite the fascinating predicament.
Making him what is, for all intents and purposes, AND ACTUAL DEMON, just cheapens it out imo. Suddenly all the judgement seems justified in some way, instead of the reactionary bs it is. Also, the story and character of Azazel just plain suck. Mutations are also not inherited in the same way as other physical traits are, so there truly isn’t a need for a parent to be a demon for him to look like that. But if people TRULY cannot let that go, it is implied that at least part of the form Mystique took to be able to have a baby with Destiny was Azazel’s.
As for calling them lesbians… yeah, I dumbed it a bit, I’ll give you that, and there really wasn’t a reason for me to do that other than laziness. But it gets the point across.

People are sleeping on the line by Sinister that Josef Mengele didn't go far enough. The actual, real life Nazi doctor who tortured Jewish men, women, and children in some of the most horrific ways to date .. didn't go far enough. And he said this in front of Magnus himself.

Also yes, their are other characters that can change time. Doctor Strange, Doctor Doom and Kang. But Strange knows not to do that because he understands fix points in time cannot be change unless you want the universe to fall into darkness. Doctor Doom and Kang are villians, but Doom understands you shouldn't change fix points in time. Kang wouldn't want to create another version of himself and he also hates mutants
quicksilver is magneto's kid but unfortunately he's probably his weakest child so he's not really on flash's level (morph changed into him last episode)
scarlet witch is his twin which obviously she's as OP as magneto and then he has polaris who is pretty OP too

The scene where Cable and Cyclops and Jean Grey, Go into Bastion's home, How the whole thing plays out to the part where they get outside just the three of them on that home and their interaction with his mother, That whole scene from the moment they go into the house to the moment Jean Grey teleports them out of the house, that entire scene gives me flashbacks back to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 where Harry and Hermione are lured into the old lady's house, where she entraps Harry with the intention to kill him and Hermione. I'm saying that the old woman playing the mother of bastion who turns into a sentinel trying to kill the three X-Men in the house and how they get out from back to the days of Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1 at the scene that I just mentioned. If you don't believe me take a look at the scene and I'm referring to with the three X-Men and then compare that to Harry Potter and the old woman's house before she becomes the snake which she is the snake disguised as the old woman and the village Harry was born in.

Yeah Quicksilver is not fast enough to time travel. If anything Silver Surfer could he is one of thee fastest heroes in Marvel he can travel beyond the speed of light. In fact he is Flash level speed.

He is still capable of time travel tho
Flash could trounce Pietro in the DC Universe. But as the Avengers/JLA crossover proved, he would handily beat Flash lin the Marvel Universe, because there's no Speed Force there.

@@FaytLinegod Crossover comics aren't canon so in a realistic scenario he would not be able to do anything to Flash. Also, the Flash himself is the Speed Force (According to current comics iirc) so it would be in the Marvel Universe if he was there
@@Tpm12luv Actually, JLA/Avengers is confirmed to be canon to both mainline universes. So more or less, it is technically possible for Flash at that time to have lost connection to the Speed Force while in the Marvel universe. But of course, retcons happen and multiversal rules always change.

Dude, don't forget about planes and nuclear power plants. And also Iron Man and Vision. I remember the same thing happening when Onslaught used an EMP in New York. Iron Man's arc reactor and Vision's body stopped working, which could have killed them both.

4:00 there’s no speedsters I’m aware of in marvel who can even come close to Flashes level of speed, and even less characters who can create whole alternate timelines and universes.
