Temple Street Fire During Evening Rush Hour Ray-Ban META POV

A fierce fire broke out on Tuesday 8th May 2024 at around 6pm, when many people were commuting home after work. The apartment is on 207 Temple Street in Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The famous market stalls along Temple Street are open for business and the area where the fire occurred is very near where the new Street Food Stalls have been set up to attract more tourists to the area.
The whole area is full of old tenement blocks and they all appear to be poorly maintained and to pose fire risks. Indeed, there have been several apartment fires in the area recently.
Toofless Tesla made a video in 2021 about the area during Covid, when the government made the first of its stringent lockdowns on the 10,000 residents of these tenement blocks.

Back then, it was the government's first-ever attempt to curb the spread of Covid-19 in Hong Kong. In hindsight, it was a total failure because over two days (23rd to 24th January 2021), they tested about 7,000 people and found 13 confirmed cases of Covid-19. That's a positive rate of about 0.19%.
