I'm thinking as recent as 10 years ago. Until 45, election deniers were very rare. And it wasn't so much an out and out denial as challenged with repeated vote counts, but it didn't involve multiple states. After 45,unfortunately, it's to be expected.

Back in the 60s in the UK, where was a quiz show that had as its first round, the Yes/No round. This was quickfire, and the quizmaster asked contestants questions like "Is your name Mary Smith ?", to which the answer would clearly be yes or no, and the wily ones had learned all the responses like "affirmative, not any more, on my birth certificate" and so on. You can guaranteee that none of these creeps would get past that first round.
