- Niche gave the city an overall A+ grade. The city also received an A+ rating for public schools, being good for families, nightlife, and health and fitness.
What was the 1 best place😊
How do people afford that
@Joshua I live in frederick Maryland. Even here in western Maryland rent has gotten out of hand.
@Joshua don't get me started. Since the pandemic, we have had shootouts with cops. Wannabe gangs in our schools and the overall increase in homeless people on the streets, asking for money or food
It's not the Frederick I grew up in
Frederick is for old people
People in the area usually have a higher than the average salary
I lived in Westover. Then I lived in Clarendon near Courthouse
EXACTLY ARLINGTON IS JUST BETTER
IF you are LIBERAL!!!!! If you’re not liberal, they you are now welcome there. It’s an incredibly closed minded cult like place.
has anyone mentioned or acknowledged the fact that Arlington exists by virtue of having been the South West corner of what is now known as Washington, D.C. (?)
And.
Try again. D.C. was created by Virginia native and President George Washington. D.C. was made up by land from Virginia and Maryland.
So which is the First?
Government rate the cities by how much tax they generate.
Despite the higher crime, Maryland is superior, more urbanized, better views of DC, etc.
what part of Maryland would you recommend that provides a vibrant, urban environment with close proximity to DC?
@@Hello_Haven I wouldn't say its vibrant, but Bethesda and Silver Spring are close proximity and urbanized. What I like about maryland is its more lived in. Everything in virginia was built yesterday. And MD has great views of dc driving in from the Anacostia freeway and taking the red line into the city from Glenmont station.
@@brijmsn Thanks for that insight! Thoughts on the better fit between Bethesda and Silver Spring for a Chicago / Los Angeles transplant who leads an active outdoor lifestyle?
@@Hello_Haven I think you'd enjoy Bethesda better. Silver Spring is a little run down and sketchy these days. Even though I personally prefer Maryland, don't count Arlington out, it has plenty of convenient amenities. If you want a vibrant experience like Chicago/LA you should stick to the safer DC neighborhoods like DuPont, U Street, Logan Circle, NoMa, Adams Morgan, Capitol Hill, Navy Yard etc.
That's why Virginia is always rank in the top 10 best state to live. They are many reasons why Virginia is ranked that high and Maryland is not. Both of the major airports are in Virginia, the Pentagon is in Virginia, and the majority of the country computer hubs are in Northern Virginia. More than half of the government employees who work in the district live in Virginia. Just facts Google is your friend.
