there’s something about the inazuma ost that is so reminiscent of ghibli/joe hisaishi’s compositions. liyue was a lot more upbeat and featured traditional chinese instruments whereas inazuma’s is a bit slower, more sweeping and meloncholic. definitely reminds me of some of my favorite ghibli movie osts in the best way
they actually mentioned during the livestream prior to the update that inazuma was heavily inspired by studio ghibli movies so ~~

It's not necessarily sad to me. It's beautiful in a way that it gives melancholic vibes. It can be said as "sad" to some people, but I personally don't find it that way (about the music only though, the story is a different matter).
36:21 when I first heard this track in the inazuma story quest, I had to taken a moment to recompose myself. This song really tug at my heart strings and it caught me so off guard.........The music in genshin will never cease to amaze me.

Listening to Inazuma Ost makes me wanna leave everything and runaway to Konda village, become a farmer, occasionally travelling to Inazuma city to sell my goods or attend festivities. I won't have vision so the raiden will never know about me.

Track 26 (37:52) has no reason for being this sad and beautiful at the same time. Inazuma OST in general is a masterful work, but this one track just feels really haunting. It's so beautiful, so I want to hear it again and again, yet it really touches something inside, so I literally cannot listen to it without feeling sad and melancholic...

This plays in Inazuma city at night. The first time in I'm kinda wondering why because i'd kinda expect a city theme to be more bustling or maybe tense with the Tenshukaku instead of being so mellow. Eight times in and I realize this is the people's dying aspirations represented by Kazuha's friend and the statue of the thousand armed hundred eyed god, especially when this plays when you teleport to the waypoint near the statue.

Kazuha was indeed sad, but he didn't blame anyone. Why? Because his own friend knows what happens if he breaks the law. Kazuha also understood that. That's why he doesn't hold grudges against the Shogun. Because it was indeed Kazuha's friend's fault.
The fact that this whole comment section is filled with "(timestamp) this song makes me emotional" and all of the timestamps are different, is really telling of how amazing the Inazuma ost is all together. Yu Peng Chen did a wonderful job

The inazuma leitmotif just imprints such a lasting impression on one's self. I seriously believe Genshin wouldn't be half the game it is currently without its beautiful score.

Track 7 has to be my favourite. After hearing it in Ayaka’s story quest, it hits different. It’s not the most complex piece, but it’s powerful nonetheless, and gives a sense of wonder and elegance with its gentle melody that crescendos at the end. I could listen to it all day, and I’ve even caught myself humming the melody around the house

The best thing about listening to this Inazuma background music is that it captures the emotions of Ei wherein she was really grieving, depressed and lonely. You can understand Ei's deepest pain on these soundtracks. All she wants was an eternity for her people, in order for her to not feel the pain of loss again due to her experiences, just imagine she lost friends, and especially her other half which was Baal her twin.

3:41 when you first logged in on the day of the 2.0 update, did the ritou quest and was finally free to roam. Just being awestruck at how beautiful the music and surroundings were while all your favourite streamers were also streaming the game. That day was just magical
It felt amazing. You just reminded me of how many memories i've made in 2.0-2.8. :)
Track 17 played in Yoimiya's quest where she told the 2 friends to talk it out, It was a potent and strong moment and the music gave it just the right emotion. Whenever I go to the coast lines in Inazuma, this track plays and I just stand around for a couple of minutes to listen it. Great work Mihoyo.

7:42 - Track 5. I truly love this melody, my favourite between all, but I can't find the version with plucked string and a background piano.
A version that you can hear during night in a hill between konda village and the place where you start in Inazuma. it's an Hill near the coast where you can find a purple living flower (those monster that spawns from the terrain) and some purple crystals

I started playing Genshin recently and arrived at Inazuma. The first time I saw the city, I fell in love and when I started to notice the soundtrack and how it fits perfectly into each story of the place... It really took me by surprise. Inazume's soundtrack is literally one of the best I've heard in all my years of playing video games. It's a true masterpiece.

the most beautiful thing about this is how there’s so many time stamps in the comments and yet i’ve seen not one overlap. going through everyone’s comments and reading their explanations for why what track touched them the most made me look at all of them from an entirely new perspective. it’s amazing what this “simple” background music for a game can do to connect people

To be honest, if I could somehow get into the genshin world, Inazuma is the place I would live in. I would be a shrine maiden on the grand Narakumi shrine, worshiping Raiden Shogun and going about my days. Idk why, but that right there seems like the perfect life for me.

I somehow fell in love with the main Inazuma motif in 0:12 which you can also hear in other tracks. Such a perfect melody.
Such a nostalgic and foreboding motif which in itself tells a lot of the region's story
Inazuma's poignant beauty is almost impossible to be described by words, but the music..it portrays every emotions and story perfectly well. They didn't mess up and it was totally worth waiting this long. Inazuma is perfect, IMO.

When you enter Chinju forest and this track starts playing it feels like a surreal dream, a fairytale, as if the forest itself is telling its story.
Also, the title "Murmuring creek" fits perfectly with the melancholic feeling that the scenario and the track leave you

There's something about the theme on several of these tracks (5, 7, 9 etc) that brings up a load of nostalgic feelings for me, reminds me of parts of the Suikoden II OST... I find myself humming a mixture of that theme and 'Her Sigh (Radat Town)'.

Inazuma's music is very calming, beautiful, yet unsettling. Good way of conveying what Inazuma and their citizen's story is all about.
