You really DO explain this stuff sooo very well. The visual aid tips/suggestions are so helpful too. And here I thought a twisty tie was just a one trick pony. I didn’t actually think you could possibly suggest anything I couldn’t figure out or wing on my own so to speak if I’m being completely honest. I mean, they’re just eyelashes after all. And then I watched the video and had to admit that it was actually quite thought provoking and genuinely useful like all of your instructional posts. (...for anyone who’s new, you need to check out more of this young lady’s amazing content) As I already mentioned, you have a wonderfully simple yet relevant way to convey and address some of the many challenges a less experienced artist might face. I look upon your posts as somewhat of a gift and a wonderfully generous by-product of your artistic pursuits. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us amateurs, sister. Take care.
Hi a very well explained video. Another thing that helps to keep hairs random when working around eyes is to not work from one side to the other but to do some at either end and then about half way between and then continue this to fill in the gaps. This also helps with direction changes in hair or fur on animals and prevents repetition. Also to give a tapered look to a hair another thing that works is to apply a darker tone to the root area with a 2B and the work through it with a hard pencil like a 4H. The 4H will pick up the darker tone and drag it and as it runs out of the darker tone it lightens helping to create a finer appearance to the hair. Hope this is also helpful.
I just love how you explain and demonstrate lol except of to fast. You are a incredible artist and detail your instruction. You also kind and easy to listen to. You don't hurt or discourage a person if they make a mistake, you cheerfully show them how to correct it. Thank you for being you and sharing your talents to those struggling to become a artist
It's awesome, how to draw eyes with pencil is very detailed, your video will help a beginner like me to learn and complete the first pictures by myself. I went to the action of following you, your videos will help me.
I never took art or any classes for that matter. most of the times I can see the image of what i'am going to draw before I begin. crazy right. but I'll only draw now if the inspiration is so great that it won't leave me alone. so I have no choice. then to bring it to life. some of my vivid dreams are an example. (Forgot to point out ) your art is amazing. and don't get me wrong this takes many many lives to perfect. this means you've been doing this for hundreds of yrs. , just my opinion. I'm {not fm here} 🌎
Bcoz of how you teach only make me start practicing. Many thanks. How to draw Men Illustration (wearing Suits/Whatever) so tht for a fashion designer it can be helpful. I didn't find any single video on this. Pls share knowledge on it . Thanks !!!
Thank you, this is very beautiful. I ask you to make an outline video of the portrait free hand. If the image is on the mobile and the drawing is on paper for the correct measurements without the method of gerd, thank you.
Thank you for posting this. I followed along with one of the videos to draw eyes. It took me hours to get it just right, then I messed it up while doing the lashes😒. They look like caterpillers🐛. I have a question about placement on the face. I can't seem to get it right. The eyes are too far apart, not the same shape or angle, or too close together and the bridge of the nose looks sharp and squished. Do u have a tutorial video for feature placement? If not, that would be a great tutorial. Thank you for this eyelash video, I will try again.😁 Just found some of your vids I was looking for! Thanx, your awesome!!!😍
Thank you kindly for sharing your tutorial it helped me tremendously i liked when you said if you're too lazy to sharpen your pencil, that's me lol, again Thank you so much 😊
hello, i am a big follower of your tutorials but the problem is that sometimes you use the soft shapeable eraser and i dont have it and when you use it my whole drawing gets erased so all i want to say is what should i do in that situation?
So while still healing, I tried following your tutorial on drawing a realistic eye...its nothing even close to yours of course!! But I need to be done as my health isn't going too great right now, but I'm determined to finish this so the eye is as good as its going to get...though I feel like it's never dark enough and smooth enough, arg! I used my 8b and then also used my 8b from the set thats supposed to be darker then more....so I dunno :/ I want the smooth look, but I loose the dark so I kept going back n forth but I have to stop....so now I'm at the point t you stated towards the beginning of this video....im terrified of adding lashes that will ruin all my hard work 🥺 so I've watched this several times and the shape i can do fine, but getting placement i like is another. I'm also an old lady in pain and grow impatient, so thats when I look and suddenly it looks like she has 5 sets of fake lashes on and I don't even know how to do fake lashes in real life!🤦🏼♀️🥴😁🤣so, I can usually use both hands when one stiffens too much with arthritis, but as I'm right arm is out of commission still, that's not an option...so, I'll practice a bit more on extra paper till my hand stops. One day I'll finish this darn thing!! I definitely didn't think the lashes would be the part that has scared me the most!🤣😂😆🤣😂 Thank you for your lovely videos! I know it's just so much work! But you're a wonderful teacher and easy to listen to and, like the bread tie you used in this, you use thing that make sense and an easy visual :) i love your channel! Wish I had found it sooner :) Thanks!! :)
