    This is one of the few I haven't done yet. Love it and it's going to help ward off cabin fever during this Coronavirus shelter in place.

    Best songs choice of all of your exercises! Katie, when are the 12 week challenge's video and download links coming up? I need to know if I'll have Internet by there to download them.

      I love this one also because Kati played the music herself. In her early videos, she DIYed almost everything and it is very cute. I also see how she loves ballet via these videos.

    I wanted to comment on how super toned and rock solid your legs are (enviable!) - but then I must compliment you on your amazing piano skills. When and how did you learn to play so well? Do you do your own arrangements, and how? Hope this non-ballet related question is OK.

    Hi, Katie, I love your channel and I hope you make more videos! Maybe you should do one on how to break in new pointe shoes?
    I have a question. This Saturday, I'm auditioning for a Summer Intensive, but I have a 2.5 hour class before the audition...should I take the class? The audition is 1.5 hours long, and I don't want to tire myself, but at the same time I don't want to miss any class time or a possible opportunity to warm up.
    Thank you so much!
    Ana

    Tips on being a day student at sab??

  • @AriRHen
    @AriRHen 9 років тому +1

    Hi Katie, I remember you saying once that at SAB you did the whole class in pointe shoes and thats how you became comfortable on pointe. Does that mean that during barre combinations when you would usually do a releve on demi pointe in flat shoes you would do it on full pointe? or would you just go on demi pointe in pointe shoes?
    I hope that makes sense.

    • @kathryn_morgan
      @kathryn_morgan  9 років тому

      +AriRHen Great question! No - we did barre in full pointe shoes. Every class. And anytime we went up to relevee we went all the way up. It was not the most fun, but it worked!

    Hi! I have a question, when you are in 1st position, do your heels have to touch? My ballet teacher says they do, even you have hyperextension. Thanks

    • @Christina4758
      @Christina4758 4 роки тому

      No - and they shouldn't touch because if they do you are throwing off your alignment. The more you tighten your rear end and hip area and less hyperextended you will become. I still can't put my heels together - but I can dance:)

    For the without intro videos, it would be helpful if you put words inbetween each indicating what type of combination it is! Just a suggestion. Great videos though!

      Work your feet with a theraband daily and make sure to be working through your feet fully when doing tundues and degages

    • @maureenseel118

      +Bonnie Mei Also work on breaking the shoes in. If the shank is super stiff it can be difficult to get a good enough arch to get over the box. When I got mine I warmed the shank with a heating pad then gently worked on bending the shank a little-not too hard or you'll break it. Good luck!
