Wow…very cool to hear Hakka spoken in YT, this is a great Chinese dialect with more than 80 millions speakers, and Hakka people have produced many great famous people: Dr. Sun Yet Sien, Deng Xiao Ping, Lee Kwan Yew, Lee Deng Hui, Ma Ying Jiu…however, Hakka is a mostly speak at home language, and its dying, how sad. Hakka itself has sub-dialects too, it’s wary from province to province, but still understood easily.

Hi, i'm a 4th generation hakka. As a non speaker for now, do you have a translator hakka/English by any chance ? i've just started learning it and it would help me improve i guess. 我是台灣桃園客家人, 我一直覺得 現今 在台灣 客家話沒什麼地方可以用到. 所以客家人都不說客語了.
今年初 因為 我親戚 往生了, 我去到 桃園中壢某殯葬園區, 我才發現 那裡的 葬儀社人員, 很多 2,3十歲 竟然 可以和 往生者的家屬用 客家話交談.............那時,, 我才發現, 在台灣 客語原來 在 殯葬園區 是很有用的...

我在香港出生但客家話是我的母語所以在外聽到/遇上華藉人仕講客家話時都會自然地問聲“你係lang客家”因為有親切感而且不能夠用文字來表達.

最有用的用法是跟孩子說，不要跟孩子講別的語言
