  • Diode Clamp 5 - level Multilevel Inverter | Induction Motor Drive | MATLAB Simulation
    The most commonly used multilevel inverter is the diode clamped
    inverter, in which diode is used as the clamping device to clamp the dc bus
    voltage so as to achieve proper steps in the output voltage. Thus, the main
    concept of this type of inverter is to limit the voltage stress across the power
    devices with the help of diodes. An n level inverter needs (n-1) voltage
    sources, 2(n-1) switching devices and (n-1) (n-2) diodes. By increasing the
    number of voltage levels, the quality of the output voltage is improved and the
    voltage waveform becomes closer to a sinusoidal waveform.

    O M G..! in youtube there is just a single perfect video about lightning arrester...
    Pls provide information , whats the price of the lightning arrester
    And if there will be any problem if we dieect mount the lightning rod on concret house & also can we use another conducter that conduct the lightning into ground

    what's the phase shift betwin the differents legs of the 5 levels inverter ? can we consider 120 or 180 degre command

      None. I understand you’re referring to one way of operating three-phase 1-level inverters: with 120-degree or 180-degree conduction angles. But in this video, we have multilevel inverters, and for the gating/triggering sequence we’re using a variation of pulse-width modulation, in which the conduction of each transistor/thyristor isn’t constant (so we can’t say it’s 120 or 189 degrees).
