It really wasn't creepy. The only black kids in a rural Welsh village, subject to bullying. All they had was each other so it makes sense to me. Not as strange as it seems. Neither were their subsequent petty crimes that landed them in Broadmoor, where they were forced to take anti psychotics. They were not psychotic.
The twin thing is spooky and the shit-pit sounds horrific, but there is something deeply, primally unsettling about a lone injured man being stalked by, and almost eaten alive by, two dozen coyotes on a pitch dark night. That, more than anything, gave me shivers

I don't think it helps that parents of twins always seem to dress them the same, give them sound-a-like names, treat them like a set instead of two individuals. That must be so hard on their development.
My mother used to dress my sister and I like twins. I hated it bc I wanted to be individual. So when I turned 13-14 I rebelled, saved my pocket money and bought a pair of jeans . Instead of prissy flower dresses. But you are right, it does have an impact on your development. ☆
I was the opposite. My sister and I are 17 months apart but she grew faster than me so we were the same size. We got so sick of people asking if we were twins that when going out we would dress alike so people would assume we were and stop asking. Eventually, we got old enough that people wouldn't ask anyway, so we stopped it. We're both still t-shirts and jeans kind of women, but no one think we even look like sisters now! Edit: for all the people pointing this out, I originally had a typo and said 7 months not 17. Thanks for catching that!
So in regards to modern toilets, just because this is a random bit of info I know and never have anywhere to share it: In Ballater (Scotland, not far from Balmoral Castle where Elizabeth just died) at the train station the toilets weren’t good enough for Queen Victoria and a local councillor wrote to Great North of Scotland Railway demanding a more regal toilet be built for Victoria, the letter was actually pretty passive aggressive and a funny read, my favourite excerpt is “Should the Railway not have the funds to do so, I have no doubt other Railways drawing advantage from the traffic would gladly contribute, although I think you will agree it would look better coming from the Deeside Railway alone, if you could manage it” GNoSR did indeed manage to pay for the new toilet, the toilet and hand wash basin are made from China, and it had elaborate wooden panels all around to make it look nicer. At the time they were the fanciest toilets in Ballater and NE outside of her royal residence. I’ve been to see them as a local hotel bought the toilet (Ballater has a lot of royal history so a hotel buying Queen Vic’s toilet as a tourist piece is not strange in the slightest!) and it’s FANCY fancy, like it’s very beautiful hand cast China! And that’s it, that’s my random toilet related fact, where everyone else was using whatever was available, but Queen Vic truly had a “throne” deserving of a Queen.
@@gus7598 Victoria could have easily commanded someone to stand outside the lavatory and read her interesting articles from the papers, pamphlets and journals of the day though, something that I'm guessing is not possible for your good self. Better remember to charge your phone. ;)

As a child, a friend and mine decided to sleep outside in a treehouse. We were country girls, and so the sound of coyotes didn’t bug us. It was when it got close, then stopped. We looked over the side of the treehouse, and to our surprise saw at least fifteen pairs of eyes looking at us. Now this treehouse was a flat platform, about ten feet off the ground. It had sides about 1.5ft high. Anyone who has spent time in the country knows - coyotes have strong hind legs and can climb fences. We were terrified and hoped they weren’t that hungry. They didn’t leave until the sun was up…
@@charlotte-adams it is. they typically want nothing to do with people, and have little interest in taking us on, even in numbers. the only time i worry about the ones in the woods around my house is when my smallish dog is involved. if a bunch of coyotes were following me id probably just start making a lot of noise.
The twins story sounds kind of like a case of folie à deux, where a severe mental illness is "acquired" by one person who is mentally ill and another that is close to them. In most cases, when the two are separated, the person without the mental illness suddenly improves. I think that is what happened when her twin died.
@@priyamanobal That is why I said it sounds like it, but it doesn't completely fit. The only way to know would be to study them, but it's impossible now.
The first one was less a horrible fate and more a *miracle.* Those updraft winds aren't just directed upward - they are extremely turbulent. She's amazingly lucky her parawing wasn't torn to shreds on the ride up, and even past that, that the hypoxia at 10,000 metres wasn't enough to render her brain-dead long before she got to a safe altitude. She's in the most exclusive club in aviation - flying into a storm in what amounted to a small aircraft and *surviving* to land safely.
If they suspected the medication did it, then I expect one of them withheld their medication and saved it up in order to give the other one an overdose.
These twins would only speak in their own language and never talk to anyone else. When apart, they would fall unresponsive until reunited with their sibling. "Damn, those two are as thick as thieves" They hated each other so much that each of them wrote in their diaries that they would see each other as fatal enemies, and they even agreed that one of the two had to die in order for the other to live normally "Now THAT'S a plot twist"
Yeah, those two things really contradict each other. Makes it seem like there was something else going on that we don't know, or they actually were seriously mentally ill.
I don't know if the twins was creepy as much as tragic. They made a pact with each other that kept them isolated at such a young age and caged themselves together out of fear, spite and distrust of each other.
Not commenting on any thing else you said, he did for a time narrate "scary stories" .. You know, the ones people make AI voices read from Reddit, etc. Guess most prefer the AI so he dropped that and started doing this.
I have to say the first one is hilarious where it's all about this woman for 5 minutes and then randomly at the very end "oh there's this other guy though that also got sucked in but he died tho"

I like how you include those educational/historical tidbits. I've never been a big fan of history but you definitely make it interesting, the bit about the myth of the dark ages was cool.
The coyote attack story made me think of a really wholesome interaction I had with a whole pack of them. I was running later in the day around dusk on a trail in my town and I looked down while still running to change the music on my phone. After I changed it I looked back up and maybe a couple yards ahead of me there’s a coyote running the same direction I was along the path, he wasn’t chasing anything and didn’t even seem to really notice me. I looked around more and there were four more next to and behind me running along with him. We ran together for maybe a quarter mile until they turned off toward a ditch off the trail. It was really cute.
This was a fantastic telling of the mysterious. That last story, I had never heard it before, you have such a great voice, definitely made it intriguing. Bravo!
As an historian I am grateful that you highlighted the myth about the "dark ages". As one of my professors said: "It's one of the best propaganda ever made".

@00kuja00 Its called the Dark Ages because of how little written material exists from that era. 'Dark' as in 'we're in the dark about those ages', not 'those were dark days for human advancement'. The belief that its the latter just comes from misunderstanding the use of 'dark', and the lack of material making it look like they weren't advancing. Im sure the Christians running around inquisitioning everyone didn't help them look better
As a twin my brother and I are glad for the childhood we had, but we do wish we had more independence from each other in later years as teens. We were dressed alike alot as babies and small children. Our mother had us in over a dozen twin comps before we were 2. And I will say more than one occasion we would switch classes with each other. No one knew, not even our best friends until we told them. And one thing is we always had each other to practice sports with, and it put us in the top 10 percent of those perspective sports.
So, you cheated. And you're lucky you had a twin. Most of us are lonely and don't have a mirror in front of us all the time. I don't even know what I really look like , only front on. Now um. Pretend you went to therapy because of how that person treated you. Or pretend that they severely mistreated your significant other and you carry the guilt of knowing you have their face. I’m from Scotland so we don’t really have any apex animals (stags in the highlands don’t really go near people, and are unlikely to attack unless you get too close), so the idea of being followed coyotes is utterly horrifying, I’m really glad he got help from the stranger because god knows what could’ve happened. I’m assuming coyotes can attack humans? If so, 20+ coyotes and one injured man? That’s nightmare fuel.
The most horrifying thing was that there was 20+ coyotes you usually only get followed by a 5 in an unlikely situation, it's like they knew the man couldn't defend himself and be easy prey.
Didn’t they just start trying to reintroduce wolves to Scotland lol? Anyway on coyotes, they’re generally solo animals and are not dangerous to anyone bigger than a small dog- generally. They’re scavengers and they love wounded or dying prey, and sometimes though they live solo or in mated pairs they will temporarily form packs to hunt big prey if they feel it’s warranted. Humans are generally not on the list (coyotes are clever and they know guns + dogs are scary) but they will menace humans if they sense that they’re injured badly. One story I know is of a helicopter crash in Idaho, the flight instructor was telling his survival story at my flight school. He was pinned under the wreck for a few days and the Idahoan coyotes were starting to harass him before he was finally rescued.

When I was younger I went hunting with my dad. It was familiar land we had been on a dozen of times before. So we felt safe enough splitting up in some of the areas. The day we arrived though the rancher had come out to us and let us know that they had a lone hybrid coyote running around on their land. It was said to be about the size of a wolf and has causing a risk to their livestock. The rancher asked if we saw the "bastard" to kill it immediately. The day went on as usual after that....we had a bird or two and decided to go up on a Cliffside. When we got up there we even saw a large dog like figure running in the distance. We figured it might have been the coyote/wolf. But it was only for a minute if not less before it was completely gone from the area....at least we thought that. We both were cautious but continued on as normal. My dad and I split up on a small hill...each taking one side and planned to meet up on the other side 15 minutes later. So I walked alone on one side. It wad quiet with nothing near me. But my had had some birds that he shot at. I perked up and when I did I saw movement behind me. I spun around to see a fucking massive coyote that had been right on my ass. To this day I can't forget the golden eyes which locked eye to eye with me. I admit. I was so shocked I didn't raise my gun. After what seemed like an eon of staring at the coyote though he turned tail and ran away. I VERY quickly ran to the end of the hill and back to my dad. It was the first time that I had been so close to a predator or had anything like that occur to me. I look back on it now and laugh. But at the time I was throughly scared shitless. If thisbhad happened to be at a night time scenario though...fuck that! Daytime was bad enough
Hiking in the woods behind the house I grew up in, we would find the remains of deer, sometimes with meat still on the bones and sometimes picked clean. We absolutely had coyotes and bobcats back there.
It's very strange and disconcerting to hear that the twins were able to coordinate with each other so well for so many years and yet harbor such resentment for each other.
The twins story is so fascinating. it’s like they were one soul in two bodies, and the only way they could be a complete person is if one of them died and gave the other the piece of their soul back…

Someone's making a movie about June and Jennifer. And their parents barely noticed anything in the beginning, they neglected them and left them alone with each other for days. Of course they built their own language.
"Dont Run" reminds me of my sisters life changing event. Way back when I was young, my older sister(17 or 18 at the time) showed up at the house late at night. My child brain didnt understand that she was incredibly injured and caked in blood. I thought she had "army" paint on because she was thinking about going into the service. Anyway. She got into a very very bad car wreak, nearly got decapitated by a part of her car as it rolled, hiked up the hill she went down, and walked miles before someone found her. All with a messed up leg, open wounds, a concision, and probably broken bones. She said that she was also being followed by a pack of coyotes and thought she was going to get killed by them. Instead of going to the hospital, she had the person that found her, bring her back to the house where she had a break down and tried to beat up paramedics when they finally came. Again, I was like 10 and didnt understand the commotion or why my sister was a bloody wreak. I guess getting stalked by coyotes changes a person....
I've heard the twins story often, but you've added some more insight that I didn't know! It's fascinating, their story, and the death of one of them. I believe June was the "leader" of the two and they suffered from some sort of folie a deux - the psychological condition of shared psychosis of people in close contact or isolation, often triggered by one person believing the delusions of the other. I wonder if somehow June could have given Jennifer an overdose of the medication?
Almost ALL identical twins develop their own language and understand each other but the parents have to be the ones to intervene and be taught how to talk to OTHER family and people. I have twin grandsons and they did it too and their Dr told my daughter in law that its common for twins but not to worry and just keep talking normally to both kids and they will pick up regular speech and leave their twin language behind
It was weird we covered the story of the survivor of the paragliding incident and then just threw in the guy that got struck by lightning and died at the end-I wanna know his story
Well it could be his name wasn't as well known as hers. Or the fact there may have not been much to tell. Sounds like he died as soon as he got caught up in the storm. Her getting caught up and surviving makes more of a story.
I am subscribed to a lot of narration UA-cam channels, but I just had to comment and say that yours is one of my favorite up and coming channels!! Love your voice and writing and research skills!!
Coyotes can indeed be scary. Happened to me in Arizona a few years back- me and a few friends were hanging out in the wilderness one night, having a good time. Then the coyotes started calling out to one another, and you could tell they were surrounding us and getting closer...needless to say we rapidly packed up and left
4:31 I had an experience similar to this story (though without the car wreck) and people still don't believe me to this day. Big groups of coyotes can be especially hungry and unpredictable as well as a lot smarter than they seem. A friend and I were in the woods near his dad's expansive property in the Ozarks when we heard the yipping and yelping of coyotes getting closer. It was late in the day anyway, so we hurried but the coyotes got louder and louder. He decided to run for the house at the time we hit the edge of the trees. I have asthma and can't run far (and didn't know better as a kid) so I bolted to the back of an old dump truck in the junkyard on the edge of my friend's property and climbed in. just behind me, somewhere between 30 and 40 coyotes stopped at the edge of the woods. A few of the more brave and curious coyotes sniffed and circled around the truck while my friend ran to get his dad's .22. The coyotes were smart enough to run when they heard him squeeze off a few warning shots, but had he not been there, I might have been stuck in the back of a dump truck til the next morning! I don't know any 14-year-olds who can fight off that many coyotes.
I grew up in the desert and coyotes were terribly shy. That was many decades ago and they’re not shy anymore. They now come right up to people in our area walking their dogs and grab the pups leash and all. At some point people stopped shooting them on sight and started leaving them snacks and putting water fountains in their front yards instead. They’re getting huge too unlike their scrawny predecessors. I recently shouted at one just outside our eight foot fence as they’re great climbers and we have a small dog, and the coyote just stared back unfazed. They’re more like wolves now than scared little mongrels. Thank goodness that guy found help.
I've flown Hanggliders for 11 years flights to 12,000' msl, XC 50 miles, 5 hour flights etc. It's very cold up there. Whenever I'd fly over the Eastern Washington deserts, I would use the Thermal convection cycles (dry adiabatic lapse rate) to gain altitude, like every other Soaring Pilot (or Eagles). When properly trained the experience is totally amazing, we would stay in the sky all day, every spring summer. Whenever we would get into lift that was too intense for the location, or was leading to a dark cloud base the size of a small town while my Vario (climb rate detector) was pegged at 1500 feet per minute, we would get out of it. This invloved doing high stress aerobatic maneuvers called wingovers, and spiral dives etc. Paragliders can't do them so well. There were times when I accidently whited out (no visibility), and it took several minutes before I could see the ground again... I flew a total of 1000 hours, about 930 flights in three states Advanced rated XC Pilot. I was totally without fear back then, last flight I crashed couldn't afford to fly again.
I listened to a podcast (real survival stories) that talked about the lady in the first story and did an interview with her. Amazing that she lived through it.
I agree, it is so important, there is another guy who does stories like these but his speech is mumbling, like he is super tired reading while falling asleep on the sofa. I don't want to say anything in the comments to embarrass him but it is a shame as he has good stories and it just starting and has few subs, but I can barely listen. I feel bad for him as he is trying and has potential were it not for his slovenly enunciation. A simple community college speech class would do him a lot of good. He can learn and get a bigger following which I presume is the goal, and to reach the most people in the English language it is key to be able to be understood by the most English speakers not just ones from your immediate area/country. I am saying this to help others who are thinking of doing this, hopefully he might even see this. Get feedback from honest friends, most of us are not naturally gifted but can learn with an open mind.
Really appreciate you dispelling the myth of the 'dark ages'. I do like how you don't seem to judge people from the past but just observe them and assume the best of them.
In regards to the coyote story I have a strong suspicion those might've been Coywolves. It's a real animal and it's a hybrid between a Coyotes and Grey Wolves. It's quite possible they were regular coyotes as well but in listening to the story, everything sounded like the predatory behavior being acted out by a Coywolf as opposed to a Coyote but I could very well be wrong. Just sharing an opinion on an extremely interesting video
I briefly had a job with a school photography business. One school we were sent to was a fairly bizarre school to start with. It was a K - 12 school, so there were all different ages. There were two identical twin girls probably in their senior or junior grade. These two girls would not talk. They just looked at each other occasionally with blank expressions as if they were communicating. Their mother was there and I kinda got the impression they were the snobby type. She had to have everything just perfect 100% and couldnt get er to shut up. But the way the twins looked at each other, I was expecting them to start the five toned hand gestures from Close encounters of the third kind. Real creepy.

I wish I could understand the story of the twins better. I am so curious as to why things happened the way they did. It feels like there’s a fundamental aspect of their story that our science cannot currently explain
I'm very interested in the creative writing of the twins. I wonder if they can still be found. There was definitely something otherworldly about them. I do wonder if the twin that decided to die had done it as a spiritual suicide. Being in a mental institution for such a long time must have taken a toll on the both of them, and perhaps that one preferred death as the other one life.
Look into the nocebo effect. People have killed themselves just by thinking that they're going to die. The subconscious mind has near absolute control over the health. The weird part is that they somehow knew which one would live and which one would die, plus the rest of their behavior, it's like their very soul was split in two like the zygote and somehow, the girl that survived absorbed the soul of the dead one and thus became whole.
I was interested in paragliding, but I watched one friend almost get impaled on a T-stake trying to take off, and the a coworker clipped a tree and fell 70 feet and separated his spine from his pelvis. I'll pass from now on.

Well yeah. They became their flaws and their fear. They became mentally unable to comprehend their own existence. If they are both the same person then what is the point of two to exist. Only one can be one. It's a twisted disturbed interpretation of an inability to rationale their own existsnce

@@hollies5841 That's very interesting!
My twin sisters also had their own speech nobody understood until they started to talk normally...
The twin thing is spooky and the shit-pit sounds horrific, but there is something deeply, primally unsettling about a lone injured man being stalked by, and almost eaten alive by, two dozen coyotes on a pitch dark night. That, more than anything, gave me shivers
I was looking for a comment like that. Stuff of nightmares 😱
Since the coyotes didn't attack I like to think of it as them escorting him to safety 😂
@@ethernet764 yea, ngl, i was scared at first for his safety then i realized that if he had actually died, we probably wouldnt know about this story to be sharing it, so i relaxed and at that point it really did feel like they were just an escort

So in regards to modern toilets, just because this is a random bit of info I know and never have anywhere to share it:
In Ballater (Scotland, not far from Balmoral Castle where Elizabeth just died) at the train station the toilets weren’t good enough for Queen Victoria and a local councillor wrote to Great North of Scotland Railway demanding a more regal toilet be built for Victoria, the letter was actually pretty passive aggressive and a funny read, my favourite excerpt is
“Should the Railway not have the funds to do so, I have no doubt other Railways drawing advantage from the traffic would gladly contribute, although I think you will agree it would look better coming from the Deeside Railway alone, if you could manage it”
GNoSR did indeed manage to pay for the new toilet, the toilet and hand wash basin are made from China, and it had elaborate wooden panels all around to make it look nicer.
Haha brilliant!
This deserves so many more likes! Lol

The twins story sounds kind of like a case of folie à deux, where a severe mental illness is "acquired" by one person who is mentally ill and another that is close to them. In most cases, when the two are separated, the person without the mental illness suddenly improves. I think that is what happened when her twin died.

They're June and Jennifer Gibbons. It's a VERY well known story.
There's a bunch of yt vids that include them since it's so weird.
These twins would only speak in their own language and never talk to anyone else. When apart, they would fall unresponsive until reunited with their sibling.

As a twin my brother and I are glad for the childhood we had, but we do wish we had more independence from each other in later years as teens. We were dressed alike alot as babies and small children. Our mother had us in over a dozen twin comps before we were 2. And I will say more than one occasion we would switch classes with each other.
Coyotes can kill a human, though it's very rare
The most horrifying thing was that there was 20+ coyotes you usually only get followed by a 5 in an unlikely situation, it's like they knew the man couldn't defend himself and be easy prey.
@@batteries_sold_seperately that’s horrifying, I didn’t realise they don’t actually come in large packs of 20, Jesus Christ, they were just waiting

That twins story was an altogether different kind of spookiness to me
When I was younger I went hunting with my dad.
Daytime was bad enough
damn thats scary!

I absolutely love this set of stories
I like how these stories aren’t just ‘the scary part’ but genuinely informative information!

Sean you have come sooo far since you first started this channel. The transformation and improvements are nothing short of exceptional. Keep it up!
Nice graphics upgrade, really boosts the atmosphere for the parts of the stories that don't have actual photos of what happened

She had to have everything just perfect 100% and couldnt get er to shut up. But the way the twins looked at each other, I was expecting them to start the five toned hand gestures from Close encounters of the third kind. Real creepy.
Sean- you should DEFINITELY dive into more true crime cases because your narration is top notch! Not only your narration abilities, but your story telling is also so good that I can picture the scenes in my head- which puts you up there with the likes of That Chapter (for True Crime) and Mr. Ballen (for storytelling AND true crime!) Looking forward to your future content as I'm going down the line of all your videos! Can't wait for the future of your channel! 🥳🎊🎉👍🏻
I really enjoyed these stories! 😀Thank you! Glad there were survivors!! 😊 (sad about the twins though... )
that first story is one of my biggest fears. Uncontrollably flying up like your just being blown away is terrifying. Super happy to know she made it out alive.
Thanks for the new video. It was quite interesting! Just a tip for future videos, might be cool just to add a slightly longer pause in between stories, maybe with an audio clip to indicate it's changed. Since I listen without watching the screen the transitions between stories are a bit jarring sometimes.
Thanks for the stories today! Great as always. I love your channel
it really seems like you post every other day with how frequently you upload! try not to burn out, yeah? you have some great videos and I'd hate for them to be your biggest stressor. not to mention, you might run out of stories to tell us!
FYI he now posts 1 new video every Saturday and is posting remastered versions of his old videos every Wednesday. So really only 1 video per week, not too bad really
There’s billions of people on this planet . He won’t run out of stories and content . Relax
@@Hotchocolatewithsugar i was joking lol
Huge fan of this series and channel! One day when you have millions of subs I'll still be here commenting I was here at the start! Keep it up! We all love the content!
I wish I could understand the story of the twins better. I am so curious as to why things happened the way they did. It feels like there’s a fundamental aspect of their story that our science cannot currently explain
This is your best series!!! Reminds me of MrBallen’s 3 places you cant go, but went anyways!!!
The twins story scared me on a surprisingly high level Idk why.
One of the UA-cam channels that I'm always entertained by. Thx for doing what you do.
The twin story is wild. I can’t imagine what their parents felt.
Hi Sean, great vid as always, thanks 👍 I like this mix of new and remastered. Hopefully ppl will be content and not complain while you continue to grow your skills and channel!
I'm powerless to avoid creepy and morbid well made UA-cam vids.

@@Hotchocolatewithsugar care to give me a hint? I'm not finding it on the usual ones
Owe please tell us what app you watched it on xx
2:12 I know where that is. Thats Mount Tamborine in SE Queensland. I used to go there alot to watch the paragliders take off. Its like jumping off the end of the world!!! Amazing place.
I don't live in Tornado Alley but overall I'm both terrified and fascinated by Tornadoes ever since I saw the movie Twister,And I heard you never mess with a Tornado these cyclones have killed multiple people throughout history.
Yeah messing with a tornado is _not_ a good idea
The visuals just keeps getting better and better!
Paragliders scare the crap out of me....you couldn't pay me enough to get into one of those things. Much less in the mountains.
When I was hiking in Switzerland I saw a crazy amount of paragliders. I've never seen anything like it.
I love this channel. I binged watched every episode
As a triple, the last case baffled me... we love each other so much, we represent each others' flaws and brightness... the bond is indescribable .
Well yeah. They became their flaws and their fear. They became mentally unable to comprehend their own existence. If they are both the same person then what is the point of two to exist. Only one can be one. It's a twisted disturbed interpretation of an inability to rationale their own existsnce
Not indescribable. Psychological. Nothing actually fancy about it.
